V12 😍perfect, EV’s are never going to be mass market, one volcano in Iceland puts more gases out than all the cars in a day, looks gorgeous, bonnet absolutely stunning, interior colour so much better than dull black, like the wheels you can see the design and contours, you can’t when black, long may this type of car continue !!!!
I am not a fan of the 'shield' design detail. However, having spent time on the Aston Martin configurator it looks a lot better when painted in body colour.
6:21 Sorry, being pedantic here... but that's not a hofmeister kink. A hofmeister kink kicks up from the base line, it doesn't drop down from the roofline.
A much better design looks more like a super car. This is what was needed for a long time. ASTON has made a super car. ASTON NEEDS continue and make more like this. Well done it will be a poster car for millions of kids. A first for ASTON MARTIN CARS.
It has a very distinctive Aston Martin look at first sight which will of course thrill the AM owners and faithfuls. On video, I find it difficult to appreciate the true proportions of this Vanquish. The length of the bonnet seems disproportionate to me, but then as mentioned, I would need to see the car in the flesh, so to speak. Thumbs up for Aston Martin for having kept physical controls in the cabin. Today the only other top notch sports car builders which seems to be sticking with that philosophy are Porsche on its 911 and Lamborghini. Ferrari of which I’m very fond of hasn’t done so which is most irritating and unpractical (not to say unsafe). But I find the looks of this beast’s rival, the Dodici Cilindri, far more audacious and just as elegant. Confronting them on a test drive is something to look forward to ! 😎
Could you please practice saying……..AST ON ……….[ it’s definitely NOT ……AS TIN ] !!! I suppose it’s better than how many people say it ………AUSTIN !!! But I must admit, I would’ve thought that an automotive journalist would know that . Just like ASTON MARTIN………. It is the finer points of presentation that makes the difference. ! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
She is f... awesome piece of the car, but! If you look to the central console it is obvious that the car was built for right wheel drive. the buttons for P, D, N and R gear modes are in a comfort position only for those. When the wheel is moved to the left side as at the most countries will be, the buttons stays at the same position as for the right wheel steering. It is so annoying because it shows Aston spear same cents not to turn also them following the steering wheel for more driver comfort. OK it is not adding a lot of efforts to use them but would give that extra touch for the driver showing they care even for such small things. You might expect this in the car of such beauty! The rest is perfect, I love it. I would prefer to have naturally aspirated V12 but you cannot have it all ;O) Thanks Astor and please correct it!
Best comment! The Vantage headlights also look better on the Vantage. And from a practical standpoint: what’s the use of this car? It’s not as sporty and quick around a corner as the smaller and lighter Vantage. It’s not as good for a longer road trip (Grand Tourer) as the DB12 since the boot is small (just over half of the BMW 6 series with usable back seats…) and you can’t put extra stuff in the back (except some small items in the bespoke luggage (cool leather stuff but can you imagine yourself carrying those four small cases into your hotel??
I feel for the flagship car, it needs to be a bit more special. It looks like an elongated DB12 from the side. The back looks cool, but it doesn't gel well with the front. For a marque such as AM, their cars need to be more bespoke in terms of design. The 812 looked nothing like anything else in Ferrari's lineup, even if it shared similar design cues. This just feels way too similar to the Vantage and DB12 from certain angles.
Everyone said the same about the DB9 and DBS of the late 00's and early 10's, yet the DBS ended up aging just fine next to it, despite not looking miles different. The small changes made the difference and people loved it as time went on. The same will follow here. Even if ultimately, for me, that era was way better than this one designwise.
Lovely car but (and this might seem petty to some) for a car that long/big, it should have been a 2+2. Even if you could not sit comfortably in the back. Another good review though. Thanks.
Regarding Recent Aston Martin Models.... this Vanquish 2024....represents a Conceptual Recoil (giant combustion engine) and Aesthetic (too large and elongated) ...... perhaps a Confusion between the Classic and the Anachronistic...
Rim design is BMW M8 completion and the rear end is not sexy sorry does not make me hard at all Aston- nice you kept the v12 but not a biggie any more- also 100 kg heavier is a no no - the new entertainment is refreshing finally a usable one, about damn time. I f you have the old one keep it, but you folks out there who is gonne lease the badest and newest go and enjoy yourselves I'm not gonna hate on Astons here :)) Cheers from Cali
Its nice but not OMG od the old Astons, they need Callum or Fisher, don't know what's happened to Aston design, guess its as Rubbish Reichmann is still they and PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME ITS LOST ITS BACK SEATS
Literally hetter in every way compared to a ferrari 12cilindri. This vanquish is a stunner! So long and luxurious, a mix of one77 and valor, new v12, crazy specs, but most importantly, such beautiful and bespoke design🔥
@Mufc_Kenny my pint still stands, the aston is a much better overall package. The design alone is worth more. The f12 was gorgeous, this 12cilindri is genuinley more Japanese inspired than Italian. Also the aston will come in a convertible it's already announced but not yet revealed.
A big car that doesn't look particularly sporty to me. The look is heavy and doesn't evoke the same feeling as the fantastic Vantage design. Having the steering wheel the same colour scheme as the seats is over the top and should be black.
It’s a great car of course but sadly not harmoniously pretty. The Vantage headlights also look better on the Vantage. And from a practical standpoint: what’s the use of this car? It’s not as sporty and quick around a corner as the smaller and lighter Vantage. It’s not as good for a longer road trip (Grand Tourer) as the DB12 since the boot is small (just over half of the BMW 6 series with usable back seats…) and you can’t put extra stuff in the back. Except some small items in the bespoke luggage, cool leather stuff but can you imagine yourself carrying those four small cases into your hotel?? So it’s not for the track, not a real sports car and not practical enough to be a great GT (too small a boot). I’d rather pay some extra and get me a nice Vantage and a DBX.
Really? Unsprung mass isn't your worst enemy when it comes to handling. It is a bit of a bastard when it comes to ride-comfort, though. Also, that isn't a Hoffmeister Kink. Not even close!
Not great looking tbh, original DBS so much nicer in terms of looks, designers seem to be trying to hard, it’s just not timeless, like previous Astons. The thickness of the steering wheel looks huge 🤔
The testers are going to enjoy a back to back test of Aston and Ferrari. However beautiful and powerful, these cars are too fat, too heavy and do not have any real link to the front engined GT's of the 1960s. Just where can you use a gas guzzler of this type and why show such distain for using energy sensibly ? The Alpine A110 is the probably thinking guy's super car until Lotus get their act together and drop the entire current range?
Is the new Vanquish the best-looking Aston Martin currently on sale?
For me, 2012-2018 Vanquish is far far more beautiful and elegance than this new one
@@mukidiajasome people may even prefer the classic Volkswagen Beetle to this one 😅
I like the new vantage the best
@@mukidiaja well outside maybe you have a case but inside, not even close
I think the front mask should be 50% bigger ❕🤣

I’ll never understand the attraction for blacked out wheels. The video of this car proves how much better polished aluminium looks
When you're spending $400,000 for a car you can pick whatever color wheels you want....😂😂😂😂
depends on the color of the body. blacked out wheels look great on blacked out car, otherwise it just looks weird and sticks out
Never really was a fan of blacked out wheels
Beautiful style from the rear, and V12 perfect.
Long live the V12!
I just have one word.. it sucks not being a billionaire.. this is a masterpiece. Very beautiful
You don’t need a billion, a million should do it.
@@xwarped83 well if you only have a million, you don't really afford it
At least video games might have it
I have just one word for you... "learn to count".
@@lwandisompembe3521it’s not 1 billion vs 1 million lol you could have a net worth of 5-15 million and still afford it
Beautiful car, but the headlights need to be more stern-looking for a Vanquish.
Headlines look like they have lashes, they also look fish-like. It’s the only thing that lets down a near flawless design
I think this design of the new Vanquish will go down in history as a classic, like the old e-type
I've never been so torn. IT looks confused. I guess it'll grow on me but it's not an instant love affair like the last one was.
Yeah the 2007-2012 DBS is much more aesthetically pleasing than this.
Side profile is just beautiful, the front , ugh I’m not so sure
It's beautiful. Love the Zagato rear
The interior is exquisite
I am not a fan of the 'shield' design detail. However, having spent time on the Aston Martin configurator it looks a lot better when painted in body colour.
Basically vantage fused together with a mustang
“Astin” 😤
What an awesome job they done, keeping V12 alive ❤❤❤.
Great video keep up with great work 😊😊❤❤
The English are masters. 🇬🇧
Not ugly at all, but it's giving 69 Boss 302 Mustang vibez

Great looker. Definitely agree on the analog dials. Would have been even better looking with a clamshell bonnet.

Will the V12 make its way to the DBX?

I agree with the proportions, it is strange and low. The 12 Cilindri nailed it with the significantly long hood and almost non-existent rear end.
@@nass419 Precisely !
DBS looked wayy better and brutish.
This is just a longer Vantage with a fancier butt.
Yes from the side, this looks better than the Dodici Cilindri.

Yes, definitely irritating - even the old top gear team used to get this wrong, as well?!
By the way this turbo reserve idea was on the 959 Porsche. It had 2 turbos and they spooled up at different times and speeds to remove turbo lag.

Very ugly wheel design and in general the standard db12 looks much much better
It feels like two different teams designed either end of the car.
Rear - new, angular and moves the brand on.
Front - old, baggy and not interesting.
Their interiors have ALWAYS been a letdown. A $400k+ car with an interior en par with a Lincoln or Infiniti.
The rear black shield is horrible. Looks like a cheap cover. Rear lights look like it belongs on a Ford mustang.
