I'd love for us to someday go to the Ominous Island that Korialstrasz and Rhonin rested at during their trip to Kalimdor in The Well of Eternity novel. While on that island, they were attacked by strange Ghoul-like creatures that were able to manipulate their dreams. The creatures were described as having glowing red eyes, much-too-long limbs, three-fingered hands, and needle-sharp teeth, and one that attacked Rhonin wore the remains of regal clothing. Krasus even speculated that the creatures had once been the human inhabitants of the island, he also knew that their current state was the result of something even older and more unholy than anything the Scourge ever created. It's so interesting and I'd love to learn more about that.

As an outlaw Rogue, I'd love a pirate-heavy expansion with some nice pirate themed transmogs for the Rogue class. Also real, actual ships we can sail. That would be awesome.

I honestly have never heard of Beetle Island or Balor, so this was quite informative, hopefully we get to see all these zones in future expansions, along with plenty of new zones along them.
Lots of places for dungeons and raids, like Plunder Isle would be perfect for a pirate themed adventure with the Bloodsail Keep being a dungeon or raid.
I would love an expansion where the new zone or continent was the size of Kalimdor and / or Eastern Kingdoms combined. Also the game Steve Denuser worked on was Kingdoms of Amalur and it was an amazing game. Only played the remaster version but was a ton of fun.
Fun fact, Manannan that you mentioned (and pronounced correctly btw) is what the Isle of Man (where I'm from) is named after. We have a whole load Celtic/Gaelic and Viking history here too!

theres so many eras of humanity i wanna see in wow. anicent greece, ancient rome, persian, japanese during the samurai era, and somehow american west. aswell as more themed area like imagine pirate hold like in pirates of the carabbean, and other thematical places in lore from different games movies and books
I'd be very happy with a giant overhaul of the current world to repair the damage of the cataclysm & update outdated areas (like Gadgetzan, for instance). That said, I think my #1 & #2 hopes for the next expansion are the other side of Azeroth & the South Seas.
I would love a new warcraft tabletop RPG. The fan-made stuff is decent but an official product of some sort would be great to see again. Especially since the old one based on D&D 3.0 has been out of print.
I think Dragonflight is a lesson to Blizzard that they need very good lore action packed stories to continue to sell wow I'm 2023 and beyond. Most of the ideas that are more fun than a huge storyline won't make it sadly
there is always going to be more room for new islands on the map since Blizzard can just keep expanding it pretty much indefinitely if they wanted to, they just move continents and islands further apart to make room for more stuff on the map. A lot of us remember the original map from vanilla and since then it has expanded quite a lot and the world now feels bigger than ever and yet the problem is not with how many islands there are, the problem is that most old continents and islands get deserted once the relevant expansion is done, and so on and on has been since the start. They need to find a way to incorporate already existing world into max level content more, not just add another new island that will be abandoned once the expansion is done
Indeed. Adding new lands is fine but it sucks when so many places are just left untouched. And now that the core leveling process is just a joke new players never really see the old places or interact with them until they get max level and do mog runs.
I always thought that Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor were the only large continents, like if you went west from Kalimdor you would end up on the eastern shores of the Eastern Kingdoms. I'm glad that I was wrong in my assumptions.
What I was thinking, it’s time to Introduce the 3rd FACTION in the game, because now is getting boring always between horde and alliance. The other side of Azeroth would be a good excuse to add some amazing content in the game.
Please not another island themed xpac, I'd much prefer just a new full on continent, Dragon isles, broken isles, Kul tiras..all islands would be nice for something different is all. Like something comparable to Kalimdor or EK in size, that would be exciting.
I’d love to see either Eastern Kingdoms relaunched with increased size and scale. The immense size of EK and Kalimdor are what set WoW apart from other games 15 years ago, it was so immersive. Having so much within one load screen would do a lot for the feel of the game in my opinion. Not to mention the lore.
With Dragon riding and later Dynamic flight it would seem to me like a logical route would be for another CATA-like world revamp after the World Soul Saga to redress the scale of the old world continents. Just to make the zones seem large again. Also with all the little breadcrumb nods to things having massively changed since CATA and the slow reworking of basically every faction and progression of the world and world building, it would make sense to remake everything again after the World Soul Saga. Also they could make Gadgetzan a truly massive city of scum and villainy.
Every time Blizzard pulls out another island/continent, all i can think of was how Leonardo says "Aha! You found another one! How exiciting!" when you bring him a codex page in Assassin't creed 2. I also think that like in the other game, it will also be 30 more times they do it.
If there are humans on Avaloren it might be the land Uther visited in ”Folk & Fairy Tales of Azeroth” (if there are humans there ofc.). I know its a small chance that it might be true but there were some stories in that book that were connected to the lore in one way or another.
@@eternallegacy89I'd put it down to two things. Firstly the map is presumably not entirely to-scale, there are likely much larger distances between the islands than are depicted on the world map. Second, it's likely that they know where these places are, and just sailed around them because they didn't want to go there, like how Jaina has been all over the world between WC3 and Legion, but only returned to Kul Tiras in BfA.
That would be cool, but when Cataclysm happened, Deathwing made Mt. Kajaro erupt, so the Undermine may or may not be completely intact, if hospitable at all. I mean unless the Goblins returned and began excavating and restoring it.
@@thebl4ckd0g the Goblins should as greedy as they are should already have taken the Undermines, and surprised the state of the city wasn't a major issue yet considering that the LORE behind it stated that they had several weapons and relics strong enough to rejuvenate the Sunwell 10 fold each.
I am in charge of the Bloodsail Buccaneers. I slayed many goblin NPCs in Booty Bay to get the title as their Admiral... What's that you say? I'm not the only one? But I got the hat! You have one, too? And that guy, he IS a goblin! He killed his own kind to get that achievement. That's just bloody wrong, man. Have you no shame... oh yeah, goblin... They are shame personified. Goblins really do make the best pirates, so if the big hat of being the Admiral fits, wear it!

Persley hoping we get some sort of cat/lion playable race in the next expansion, I know that they added the lion guy in kharazan as a joke, but since then they have not explained what race he is and where he comes from. Personally I hope he comes from the back side visor off and that's why we have not seen his race at all.
those are called "tigon" and they are troll priests who transform into lion people. They scrapped them to make the Saberon's in draenor and dragonflight, as they decided saberons were cooler.
beetle island could’ve been the next version up from an omegalisk, we could get zerg on wow, which would be funny and be the most care sc2 has had in a while from blizzard

I wish Blizz get rid of level scaling. It was so much fun leveling in different zones according to your level. And there was always people in Azeroth leveling.
Oh man I loved that fear in my gut after stumbling into a zone where the lvls were ?? and I thought, 'oh there has to at least be a flightpath I can grab, I'll be safe if I stay on the road'. ....continued to corpse run to a fp and never return again until I'm an appropriate level.
I've encountered far more people out in the wild after level scaling. It solves the problem of low level zones being completely irrelevant. And leveling goes too fast now for zones with strict level limits, you can easily out level a zone before doing half the quests.

exactly! it can open up to so much more content like adding logging as a profession and giving us the ability to create our own boats like fishing boats, sailboats, galleons & warships (for guilds), and so much more
Yea they are totally revamping the entire game from the ground up (npc boats don't prevent fatigue if they enter fatigue water), including the BC zones, which don't even sport full models or the ability to fly...in the two year time limit ABK placed on expansion dev time.
@@IBISMK1 Yeah, I said what I said. To get what you want in terms of new features they would quite literally need to remake the game world from scratch, because the engine is that old. That is not a quick fix. Azurmyst and Quel'thalas don't have actual models for the buildings and can't be flown in independently.
Something interesting i found when i did the lightbound race quest (im old yo wow but new to retail wow i play private server and was invested in the lore) when you finish the quest you're teleported on the Vindicator and you can see the planet. All the back side is covered with clouds but the geography of the landmasses is uneven. If blizz would like to add more land they will need to shrink the corrent lands on the map/planet.

We’ve had continents inspired by Asia, Latin/South America, much of europe/North America, Africa, etc… we need an Australian continent expansion tbh. Monstrous old god kangaroos, please 😊
What I really want to see is a new massive continent that we don't actually get to explore all of in one expansion. Stretch it out over two or three xpacs and build the long-term lore and investment
The map is getting pretty weird these days gotta say. Its especially weird when you think that the dragon “isles” is actually a continent that is bigger than most other continents we’ve seen. Like how has this just been hidden in the middle of the ocean for so long.
Only if you don't know that a squall is a type of sudden strong storm. the sort of thing sailors would be wary of, thus making him sound especially dangerous. Probably plunders ships in the night.

The South Seas, with all these islands, could have been the focus of BfA, if it hadn't been for that forced and pointless faction war. I don't know how they could bring back these places now, but it would still be welcome. Better late than never, I suppose.

Pretty crowded map with more islands? You should visit Sweden. Sweden has more than 265.000 islands on their "world map" so i guess Azeroth has room for a few more! ;)
Look at Everquest World Map of Norrath, WoW's map looks like that lol. They just need to resize the map and maybe get a cartographer, or whatever they are called that professionally make maps to make it more accurate and fit the other continents... maybe even have the final map made to accurately fit things meaning all continents and islands placed to accurately make the ingame map and release as it goes.

WoW is an old game, but that by no means HAS to mean it must end soon. IF loved and cared for by the right team, WoW could grow so much bigger than we know. the human imagination and creative spirit is endless. i just hope they keep pushing hard, and that corporate BS doesn't crush the game in the end.

Hi hi, I would be keen to know more about the magnetic chasm locationally / lore wise, as mentioned by blingtron.

I like that, if you do the Vindicar introduction quest now on Horde, you sail into the sea instead of going to Azuremyst.
A pirate styled sea raid would be so cool!

those are called "tigon" and they are troll priests who transform into lion people. They scrapped them to make the Saberon's in draenor and dragonflight, as they decided saberons were cooler.

I wish Blizz get rid of level scaling. It was so much fun leveling in different zones according to your level. And there was always people in Azeroth leveling.
Oh man I loved that fear in my gut after stumbling into a zone where the lvls were ?? and I thought, 'oh there has to at least be a flightpath I can grab, I'll be safe if I stay on the road'. ....continued to corpse run to a fp and never return again until I'm an appropriate level.

I've encountered far more people out in the wild after level scaling. It solves the problem of low level zones being completely irrelevant. And leveling goes too fast now for zones with strict level limits, you can easily out level a zone before doing half the quests.

exactly! it can open up to so much more content like adding logging as a profession and giving us the ability to create our own boats like fishing boats, sailboats, galleons & warships (for guilds), and so much more

Yea they are totally revamping the entire game from the ground up (npc boats don't prevent fatigue if they enter fatigue water), including the BC zones, which don't even sport full models or the ability to fly...in the two year time limit ABK placed on expansion dev time.

@@IBISMK1 Yeah, I said what I said. To get what you want in terms of new features they would quite literally need to remake the game world from scratch, because the engine is that old. That is not a quick fix. Azurmyst and Quel'thalas don't have actual models for the buildings and can't be flown in independently.
Blizzard still didn't unlock SA zone (since we have no servers over here)
Something interesting i found when i did the lightbound race quest (im old yo wow but new to retail wow i play private server and was invested in the lore) when you finish the quest you're teleported on the Vindicator and you can see the planet. All the back side is covered with clouds but the geography of the landmasses is uneven.
If blizz would like to add more land they will need to shrink the corrent lands on the map/planet.

What I really want to see is a new massive continent that we don't actually get to explore all of in one expansion. Stretch it out over two or three xpacs and build the long-term lore and investment

The map is getting pretty weird these days gotta say. Its especially weird when you think that the dragon “isles” is actually a continent that is bigger than most other continents we’ve seen. Like how has this just been hidden in the middle of the ocean for so long.

@@TeodorStanojevic96 My husband and I lost interest in about a week but we seem to be in the minority. Most vocal players are praising it and loving it and I’m envious of their feelings for WoW. I miss missing it.

Pretty crowded map with more islands? You should visit Sweden. Sweden has more than 265.000 islands on their "world map" so i guess Azeroth has room for a few more! ;)
Look at Everquest World Map of Norrath, WoW's map looks like that lol. They just need to resize the map and maybe get a cartographer, or whatever they are called that professionally make maps to make it more accurate and fit the other continents... maybe even have the final map made to accurately fit things meaning all continents and islands placed to accurately make the ingame map and release as it goes.

WoW is an old game, but that by no means HAS to mean it must end soon. IF loved and cared for by the right team, WoW could grow so much bigger than we know. the human imagination and creative spirit is endless. i just hope they keep pushing hard, and that corporate BS doesn't crush the game in the end.
