The original idea was "What if Morrissey was in The Misfits?", and that was supposed to be the inspiration behind Bullets MCR. Even when they play Bullets era songs in the reunion tours, Gerard has his little distortion pedal on his mic stand that he uses to do the screams himself, but Frank has plenty of experience with that with Pencey Prep, Leathermouth, Patience/cellabration, and does a bloody good job of mixing up the cleans with the screams. Frank doesn't try to scream here, despite it being the perfect place for it, but if you watch other vids Frank is clearly trying to get some uncleans in, especially in Bullets era content. Gerard can still do his screamy bits with his pedal, but how about let the one guy that can actually scream do it for the few seconds here and there that he wants to? You only see him trying during songs like Vampires, Mama, Venom etc. I just wish they'd put his bloody mic up on the mixing desk. It's not that big of a fucking deal.

The pressures falling again

OMG THEY FINALLY PLAYED IT
thanks for sharing this.. I was supposed to be at the 5 LA shows... I'm gutted I wasn't 😢
Did you record the whole show? This is great! I wish I could have been there
I did! I'm working on the full video I'll post it soon.
@@deadhoarse omg youre an angel on earth! your videos are the closest we get from professional footages, very unlucky tho that none of the gigs you fully recorded they played "its not a fashion statement, its a deathwish" its my personal favourite ty!
@@sprinbols thanks so much, I really appreciate the kind words. @spaceyraygun and I did audio and video of a show in 2003 where they played it, I have to finish working on that one!
I'M LOSING MY MIND
Okay but a potential studio version of this with cleaner audio and stuff would be epic
Never heard this one before
cut song from revenge, they only ever performed it live one time in 2003ish
@@rocketxvg1614 wasn’t it a song for a horror movie
@@mychemicalcuh yeah they wrote it for freddy vs. jason but it never got used for the movie and then it just disappeared for years
The song was on the ‘Manhattan demos’ they did for revenge only six copies were made, 5 were given to the band members 1 was given to the studio. The only known copy left is with their former drummer Matt Pelissier who can’t/won’t release it due to legal issues.
How did I JUST NOW find out about this?
this is special mcr fans know why
WHAT ARE THE LYRICS 😭😭😭
Big MCR fan but never heard this one 🖤
And they still havent played jetset life
omg why didnt they release it! 😭
A lot of stuff happened ruclips.net/video/qU5oamigp2s/видео.html
Imagine Gerard has a twin. One sings one draws ... They two different people
Sounds like he's running out of steam on the vocals, but he can clearly still sing and he's in key. To be fair he's nearly fifty now and he shot his voice to hell years ago, so the fact that he can still go at all is a credit to him.
Personally i like it, he suits having a few more miles on the clock
😭
Lyrics?
I got u! Pasted these from Genius.
On second thought these actually don’t seem very accurate. Maybe they’ve changed them since 2003? Anyway, here u are:
Welcome to this institution
One way to resolution
I'm put on this medication
Rolls down my throat
Cause I can't ever sleep at night the same
This medication enjoys, enjoys most every day
Cause I close my eyes
I see land
What did I say?
What did I say to put Sister to Sleep?
And fall awake and die
And I'm never goin' to bed
Back to the day, back into this day
Back to another level, hotter then hell
Said that we're not savages until we do it
Again
And one last night I'll kiss your lips again
What did I say?
What did I say to put Sister to Sleep?
And fall awake and die
And I'm never goin' to sleep
I will take this ferris wheel
And I'm sleepwalking back into this hell
Oh my darling
For the first time
Don't let me sleep tonight
And get in your way tonight
Don't let me sleep tonight
Get in your way
What did I say?
What did I say to put Sister to sleep?
I'll never go to sleep
And I won't go back to bed
I'm sleepwalking back into this...
Hell!
Oh... God...
They did update the lyrics for 2022 apparently, I think Frank said that they only had the live show recording to work out how exactly to play the song and what the lyrics were, so they partially recreated it
i think geniuslyrics did fan submitted lyrics for this song, in some parts it sounds nothing like the actual song, from the first live performance to this one
How did they remember it if the song was lost long ago?
There is a previous recording of it, he also is reading the lyrics as he sings
They used previous live recordings and their own memory, which is pretty impressive on its own.
Wait I thought they said that they didn't have the song in a interview did they lie to us
i believe it is the demo audio file they don't have, only matt has it
Why they played in Half Step down ? Just like Metallica , Bon Jovi , etc.
Easier on Gerard’s vocals, and I’m sure the years have made it harder to do stuff in standard. I think it’s cool to hear what they do live in half step tho
@@thestikbotwarrior670it's cool if they do it in standard . Just like Green Day (except Dookie and Insomniac since those were in Half Step down) .
WHAT ????
Im never listening to this song😢
