These food critic reviews are great! I had a Shepherd along with two Labs, and I tried the food test. The Labs finished dinner before the Shepherd finished sniffing the entree! P.S. I guess it’s ok to feed raw meat and bones? I’m afraid they might get salmonella or bone shards.

Raw bones are fine, as long as they’re not from large animal weight-bearing bones (like cow legs), which can break a tooth. You can research raw and “BARF” diets for dogs.
She asked how they found out. With my GSD, it was severely low vitamin B6 in her blood work, after a bout of giardia that both of mine got in boarding. The vet suspected a food allergy, and put her on a prescription diet. We could have tried an elimination diet, but that takes a lot of time and patience.

The bones have to be raw; it’s the cooking that makes f.i. chicken bones dangerous.
