This attack was last used by Zoro in thriller bark against Ryuma, which is very cool because 1. Thriller bark is the first time we heard of Kaido and Wano, and 2. Ryuma is the (only?) known character to have slain a dragon, and Zoro assumed the pose Ryuma used doing so.
Having one yonko say to the other yonko that your attack must be dodged and the other yonko see/feel oden's presence through your sword is just insane Zoro is truly incredible

I think this really elucidates why I love One Piece so much. It's not your typical "everything revolves around the protagonist" trope. His crew members (especially Zoro and Sanji) are all very capable themselves and get their fair share of screen time and badass moments.

Zoro was an absolute meance in this epsiode, he made 2 emperors of the sea feel a bit scared and he even makes kaido dodge his attack, we haven't seen something this badass since zoro sacrifice in thriller park.
Luffy being the captain of someone like Zoro is what makes Luffy extra special among the three allied captains. Law probably has one of the most OP fruit powers in the show, but he doesn't have Zoro (in fact, he's kind of like a one man show)-- Kid has a strong second, but we know that Zoro is definitely stronger as he's beaten Killer before legitimately. Luffy literally has a potential yonko level fighter willing to die for him in a fight.
Luffys whole crew is amazing. As you said Zoro is one of the most powerful people out there and Sanji, Brook and Jinbei are top level fighter as well. Nami, Franky, Robin and Chopper are extremely smart and among the best in their profession and if needed all of them are very capable in combat as well.
The moment Luffy landed that big punch on Kaido, not one, but TWO emperors were truly challenged. None of this was a game to Kaido and Big Mom at that point. From that point on, their enemies were sharks of the seas as big as them.
Enma is the best you mean… No one talked about Zoro but the sword… Actually Kaido felt Oden presence from the sword… probably something like the Will of Oden is still in there

He wasn't really commiting suicide. He knows he wasn't going to die. Multiple times KAIDO didn't want to die. 1. His first fight with Oden. 2. He turned back after Shanks sent him home before marineford. 3. Here. KAIDO wanted to be the one to beat joyboy. He doesn't want to die just wanted to keep proving he is the strongest.
I would change just one thing in this scene, the moment when big mom tell Kaido to dodge, should be after zoro send his attack, just one moment before the attack hit him.
This probably has been Zoro's most badass moment to date. That's why I enjoy seeing his fights over Luffy's at times. His fierceness, intensity, and killing intent can cause, if not intimidation, then an at least uneasiness even in the most fearsome opponents such as the nigh-impregnable Kaido. Zoro will force any opponent to dodge. The complete warrior!

Zoro is such a badass, even the Emperors were scared for a moment. Also it’s been ages since we saw an episode entirely focused on one fight from start to end without switching to what the others are doing, it made this ep. way more enjoyable. Wish they did the same with Katakuri.
exactly i had to skip even that mink's death scene cuz it was sooooo boring and just skipped to luffy vs katakuri the fight would be 7ish episodes but it would be enjoyable just like many anime do today
@@davidwilson6577 yeah when you put into perspective what is happening to luffy vs the rest of the territory, and how long he actually goes vs that monster of a being shows how hard luffy is right now, the crazy thing is he had massive disadvantages for about 70% of the fight… only towards the end when he closed the gap between future sight seeing we’re they finally starting to be on par, and then katakuri “evened the odds” again so we truly don’t know the extent of that fight but it sure was a good one.

It’s likely that his haki is still in it. Zoro is not just that strong. It was simply because of Enma and that is clearly shown here. Kaido is stuck in that duel to the death like he was with Oden. Truth be told it comes off like that's he wanted to go out that way. Zoro is sporting his swordsmanship along with the experience he has also dueling undead Ryuma (using his stance) and Oden's sword to duel Kaido. He's heavily involved with Wano legends.
Love seeing luffys reaction to Zoros strength. You can tell he’s extremely proud of his first mate. Luffy sees Zoro as an equal in strength and in some cases looks up to him.

Not all of it, felt dragged, was dragged because of how content they can adapt at this point in time, animation was good, sound was good, effects were good, but it felt like I was watching most of it in slow motion.
The way Kaido saw Odens laughing face right before Zoro's attack is so G! It's like he's relishing getting vengeance from the afterlife through Zoro and Enma.

Kaido is a perfect example of the "Berserker" class, that is ready to take any damage without fear, but this dodge proves he is very intelligent, he knows he is not invincible.

I've heard people wondering why Kaido isn't as verbal in this scene as you'd expect from him. This is PTSD from his fight with Oden, and Zoro had his number. The soon-to-be greatest swordsman in the world is the real deal, and he has Oden's sword. Kaido was legitimately frightened.

Misses a pointblank inches away swing at a City sized Lizard that did not have time to dodge nor has Observational haki? Oda should've had Zoro at least take off Kaido's Horn. If not an entire arm. Which would've also made the arc progress a lot smoother since a lot of people aren't happy with how the fight ended. Kaido losing an arm to Zoro due to carelessness would've made the fights outcome a lot more acceptable.

I really think you are underestimating Mihawk, he has the Title of The Strongest Swordsman And that title it's something to not mess up with, i would say he is at least equally strong to Kaido
Mihawk is up there with the Admirals and Yonko, Zoro will probably be commander level after this arc and we've seen already that the distance between commander and Yonko is very far.

I would change just one thing in this scene, the moment when big mom tell Kaido to dodge, should be after zoro send his attack, just one moment before the attack hit him.

This probably has been Zoro's most badass moment to date. That's why I enjoy seeing his fights over Luffy's at times. His fierceness, intensity, and killing intent can cause, if not intimidation, then an at least uneasiness even in the most fearsome opponents such as the nigh-impregnable Kaido. Zoro will force any opponent to dodge. The complete warrior!

Zoro is such a badass, even the Emperors were scared for a moment. Also it’s been ages since we saw an episode entirely focused on one fight from start to end without switching to what the others are doing, it made this ep. way more enjoyable. Wish they did the same with Katakuri.
exactly i had to skip even that mink's death scene cuz it was sooooo boring and just skipped to luffy vs katakuri the fight would be 7ish episodes but it would be enjoyable just like many anime do today

@@davidwilson6577 yeah when you put into perspective what is happening to luffy vs the rest of the territory, and how long he actually goes vs that monster of a being shows how hard luffy is right now, the crazy thing is he had massive disadvantages for about 70% of the fight… only towards the end when he closed the gap between future sight seeing we’re they finally starting to be on par, and then katakuri “evened the odds” again so we truly don’t know the extent of that fight but it sure was a good one.

I feel that in the One Piece universe, making Kaido dodge an attack is like making Saitma use a serious attack in the One Punch Man universe.
Making Kaido dodge is also like having Boros go into his meteoric burst mode, and Boros said he only uses that for a last resort. Zoro is on a roll.

Zoro is not just that strong. It was simply because of Enma and that is clearly shown here. The haki of the users of the sword must stay just stay in it since the sword absorbs it. Either way, Oden and Enma did all the heavy lifting.

Kaido is stuck in that duel to the death like he was with Oden. Truth be told it comes off like that's he wanted to go out that way. Zoro is sporting his swordsmanship along with the experience he has also dueling undead Ryuma (using his stance) and Oden's sword to duel Kaido. He's heavily involved with Wano legends.

Love seeing luffys reaction to Zoros strength. You can tell he’s extremely proud of his first mate. Luffy sees Zoro as an equal in strength and in some cases looks up to him.

This episode was immaculate. Everything about it.
Not all of it, felt dragged, was dragged because of how content they can adapt at this point in time, animation was good, sound was good, effects were good, but it felt like I was watching most of it in slow motion.

I've heard people wondering why Kaido isn't as verbal in this scene as you'd expect from him. This is PTSD from his fight with Oden, and Zoro had his number. The soon-to-be greatest swordsman in the world is the real deal, and he has Oden's sword. Kaido was legitimately frightened.

Oda should've had Zoro at least take off Kaido's Horn. If not an entire arm.
Which would've also made the arc progress a lot smoother since a lot of people aren't happy with how the fight ended.
Kaido losing an arm to Zoro due to carelessness would've made the fights outcome a lot more acceptable.

Mihawk is up there with the Admirals and Yonko, Zoro will probably be commander level after this arc and we've seen already that the distance between commander and Yonko is very far.

Zoro has only just learned he's got the color of the supreme king and Mihawk is twice as old and has significantly more battle experience than Zoro. He wouldn't be able to use a knife with a cross piece like he did last time though for sure.
