When I heard Sara open with this song years ago at the Santa Fe Brewery I teared up at her sense of musical legacies. I can return today to shed some tears of joy as Gordon has left this mortal coil.
Love Sara's voice. Same kind of feeling I got upon hearing Linda Ronstadt the first time. I don't have to look to see who is singing with either of them. Beautiful stuff.
i saw her live at home in encinitas...where can i get a mp3 of this song for my ipod???!!!!??? been searching for too long. i cant find it anywhere online to download or a cd of hers that has thi song

Wonderful. Sara is always so sincere, down to earth, even as she brings her whole heart to every song she sings.

I don't know how many times I've played this beautiful version of this beautiful tune.

Nice version of a nice song.
I can't stop listening... so good.
I played at the Station Inn in 2004. Wish we could have crossed paths!
I love her high, sweet voice. Good band.
She can sure play that fiddle, too. Wonderfully talented lady!
Amazing! Thanks for capturing and posting.
What a talent she is. Has been since she was a little girl.
Thanks for sharing! Nice bit of fiddling there! :)
I'm sure the incredible Gordon Lightfoot approved of Sara's version of one of his all time greatest hits.
@underesteemed Truer words have seldom been spoken, my friend.
Sara is an absolutely wonderful musician and performer. This performance is great but who is the guitarist? Fabulous flat-pickin`!
Quite a late response, but that's her brother Sean Watkins (also formerly in Nickel Creek). And yeah, he's incredible!
she is beautiful! my favorite is jerry lee's version with albert lee!!
@Mouldytone ... Yes, its her brother Sean.
Is there a guitarist who can tell me whether Sean is flatpicking or hybrid picking at the beginning? Been curious about this for a while

Super late response but the album is called Watkins Family Hour
anymore from this show?
different
I think Gordon Lightfoot would be proud.
You know a girl can sing when she even sounds good over a crappy handicam microphone. The big question is, who's the lucky dog who married her?
