What a beautifully articulated speech. So humble and so grateful to all concerned. It was nice to see all of the behind-the-scenes and also very important people, recognized for their contributions. Well done Danielle! A true champion and well deserved.

Congrats to Danielle for the first 1000 tour title in her career. Vety precious that it is in FLORIDA, her home state. This was one of the very few tournaments in her career that she was not very frustrated, consistent, different player than we used to see over the years. Her speech was much too.long but nice except repeating herself. None of other players but Americsn would be allowed to give such a long speech. She was so very happy to get the title before ending tge career. Itvwas her last appearnce in Miami on tour as she confirmed during all press conferences. Wish she was as nice as today through her whole career but she definitely was not. Good luck to her on her future family plans and everything else.

This Miami Open was STACKED, so it was like a major, except not 😕. My point is Danielle played good enough to have won a major, unfortunately it wasn't.
Congratulations to my girl, Danielle and we are SO happy for you.
It was bittersweet of a match for me since I also love Elena, dearly, but my heart was with Danielle this time around.
Congrats to Danielle on her win, and to Elena on making the final. Danielle, you will be missed when you retire. The next Americans I want to see win (more) big titles: Keys, Pegula, Kenin, Stephens.

That must be one of the longest winner's speeches we've all heard in tennis. Can't blame Danielle. These moments don't come around often & time/age are not on her side anymore. She may NEVER get this chance again. Spare a thought for poor Elena though, having to stand there for almost 6mins. What else does she have to do to win in Miami; 2nd final defeat in a row. What a fighter she is though!

On a gross basis, Danielle’s prize money as a losing finalist at the 2022 AO and as the winner at Miami are almost equal (app. USD 1.1 million); on a net basis, it depends on the Australian and U.S. tax rates. But psychically, I think she finds the Miami win more rewarding because it’s the biggest title of her career.

When u look at how much effort & fight goes into winning these things, u MUST admire a champ like Iga, who has 19 titles already at just 22. With all her incredible serves, fight & skills, Rybakina only has 7 titles & has lost about 5 finals now. Huge respect to Iga, guys!
