thank you so much :D just managed to change it in my right joy-con without any physical harm, totaly worth it (just didn't remove the batery as another comment said, sometimes less is more)
This is a heck of a lot easier than replacing an xbox one joystick. I just watched your other video (which was great BTW.) Long story short, I'll be fixing my switch remote and buying a new xbox controller 😂
You DO NOT have to remove the battery. Wish I would have looked at one more video. I have a completely dead Joy Con now because the battery connector ripped off the motherboard. DO NOT remove the battery as this video says. Just lay it to the side!!!
I like when my controllers get drift xD I always think "finally I can get new sticks" its like a tennis player with a new racket it just has better tension as a stick you played on for 2 years. But I understand its very ennoying if you cannot replace it yourself.
@@SOSSGAMING yes and I have a question. Do you like the feel off hall effect sticks? I feel that they are different I think because of the magnetic system so I like Alps better actually. Do you think hall effects will become the standard for sony and Microsoft in the future? :)
@@HD-wf3bp Honestly I haven't personally tried them yet, but I've seen a few videos about them. I'm thinking once the technology reaches the point to where they are as accurate and smooth as the carbon pots then we will see the shift. Sadly from my knowledge the standard joysticks still outperform the hall effect sticks, even though they wear down quicker.
thank you for this, it's been driving me crazy!

Thank youu!
My nephew dropped his switch and the joystick wouldn’t click anymore. Perfect fix!

Oh no! I'm so sorry. Thanks for the feedback I will be sure to take note of that in the future.
Yep my whole battery fixing came off so controller now dead and unfixable
But don't you have to remove it to get to the joystick? Like not completely but didn't he lay it to the side??
Does this fix joycon drift?
Yep!
joycon drift is a problem specific to the joystick, so yea changing the joystick fixes it cause the new one is not going to have the same drift

Haha I too like to look at the bright side of things. Thanks for the comment.
