This may be an issue as another user had a similar issue. Try using another card and see what happens. You could try formatting the supplied card in your computer and then try it again in the camera.
No microphones work with it when you plug them in, and I’ve seen two reviews that say the same thing. Is there a solution for this? Have you made a plug in microphone work with this camera??
I can't remember which external mic I used with it, but it was probably a RODE wireless mic and I suspect the camera will require an active powered mic such as the Rode.

Is it possible that the auto focus for the video recording is broken? The pictures are all sharp and in focus but the video mode is dead set on one point. The videos are only sharp if you film something from really close up.

I got this camera as a gift and the videos will not upload to my PC or my new Chromeboom that i got today. I can't figure out the issue. I would love some advice from someone on the issue. the decives can read the camera but none of the files will play or downloand.
If the videos will not play inside the camera then there may be a fault with the camera. I cannot recall the video format used by the camera but it may be one that you computer cannot read. If you can see the file on your computer but it will not play, then try converting it to another format - MP4. You can either doiwnload a free app to do this or upload the file to one of the many free conversion websites.
Try using another SD card or try reformatting the card in your computer and then try again in the camera. If that does not help and you have newly bought the camera then send it back for a refund.
I think that the built in lens has a 52mm thread, which is a very common size. Try looking on Amazon for a 52mm filter screw thread external lens - there should be plenty of wide angle and others available.

So far as I can recall, you use the USB cable provided straight into the camera body.

Maybe you can't. Plugging in an external microphone should do it. Otherwise you may have to just mute it when you edit the video.

Try searching for the reference number printed on the battery on Amazon or eBay. I doubt if this camera uses a custom designed battery.

Does this do wide angle or would I have to buy a lense attachment?
You would need to get an attachment lens, but as I recall the front of the lens is threaded to allow for this.

Has anyone need noticed that sometimes the sound cuts out in videos.
Not with mine but I always use it with an external microphone connected.
