The year is 199X. Mostly because the year could've been 1900. Shine Reflector technology has been perfected, and a fox called Fox has been given the ultimate opportunity... to be the first to test a reflector. He makes the most of this in a new "survival tournament", where he is chosen to take on every other character. First is the hero of Hyrule, Link. He tries the reflector... he discovers that he can damage the swordsman with it. Since it would obviously be stronger than his blaster, he decides to use it more and more often. The Yoshi Team and Pikachu stood no chance. Then, he was taken to a special arena where he had to destroy targets. What if his new shiny barrier couldn't take on this task? He forfeits, but as it was just a bonus stage, he could continue onwards. The famous Super Mario Bros. were overcame by his new technology. A gigantic ape, eight pink... marshmallows... and even a heavily armoured space warrior were no match for Fox McCloud! After a race to the finish...
+keiron travis ...of a downwards obstacle course, it was between Fox and thirty strange purple entities. However, it was quality over quantity as Fox had completed the tournament! He beat everyone! But wait... what was this white hand? It was floating towards Fox menacingly, as if it was about to strike... Fox decided that, once again, he would just use his trusty Shine! After perfecting a technique now known universally as the multi-shine, Fox's adventure was truly complete. He could now say that he completed the Super Smash Bros. Tournament using only the new Shine Reflector as a weapon. However, it is very hard to pull off for a regular player, and he admits that "This Is A Tool Assisted Speedrun. To find out more, visit TASvideos.org."
He didnt use a b or the 4 yellow buttons though, using a would punch, using b i forgot but it grabs when you hold down left or right infront of the npc and the arrow keys, joystick and shine are accountable for movement and the shine is a reflective and defensive move its not really an attack it just helps to use it but then again yes doing it to any npc apparently causes damage though the goal in this video doesnt mention anywhere in both video and description that no forj of attack was going to be used cause itd both be one insane to win but without fighting in the game but for two i dont think its physically possible YET to no attack the npcs to their death, if possible infact then itd probably be a 20minute to an hour video
I have a question, is this supposed to be the japanese version? as in, the official version of the game released in japan? if so, what's with all the english text and audio?
+Nathan Hafford Typically in TAS, tools are used to slow down or play the game frame by frame, and using stuff like save states and the like. I don't know too much about this, but TAS allows for certain inputs that humans can't perform because of reflexes generally impossible for a human being. There are a couple of videos showcasing TAS and the possibilities from tool-assisted super play/speedrun. I think there are tutorials too.
Everything Smash it is impossible TAS is frame perfect its humanly impossible for any one to be frame perfect every time. You need special tools to pause the game every frame to allow an input. Even then it doesnt take skill to pause the game every frame just to enter an input

Mr. Moo YT lmao that’s awesome, it sounded like it got cut off right before the “up”
Many of these stages are featured on Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
RUclips por que me recomiendas esto despues de 10 años
It feels good to know my tech chase shines look like this. Isai our saviour and lord
I was wondering how he'd beat giant DK. Gotta love SSB AI.
Just no damage alone on very hard is impressive enough. But to take it a step further, and use just one move, god damn!
Kenny Gates He's using TAS. Not impressive at all.
A.S. MC True. I wonder if anyone has ever actually done this completely unassisted? Probably not
A.S. MC Tases are hard to make. I made a melee tas once, it was hard.

LIVEshockWIRE probably he was talking about the Fox's pose when he's using the shine
The shine in Melee is also 2D
I'm going to actually consider this an actual speedrun of this given that he beaten fighters quickly in this video.

I have a question, is this supposed to be the japanese version? as in, the official version of the game released in japan? if so, what's with all the english text and audio?
If Hax and Isai had a baby
does the shine in this game have a different input or the same as melee?
It is still down-b but in 64 the way you cancel is by landing with it and not jumping out of it like in melee
+Believe In Steve why hello Steve
No, he's a Melee player from the future!
Wow great job!
how do you multishine in ssb64?

6:51 one of those red achievements has to be a single move only one, right? Anyone speak Japanese?
Yep! "Single move" gives out 8000 points.
It's not one of the red ones though.
Frank7489 the red one is a Very Hard Clear bonus
"The Shining"
that tech chase tho
So, how does shine cancelling work in N64? Do you jump then immediately shine?
Pretty much
Ahh! Thanks. surprised I worked it out

Reflector much?
It's called a shine. Snap back to year 20XX.

Super shine bros.

Is this westballz or something? Haha.
Google TAS.

Jackmjedi obviously. i clearly just said that because of the shines.
r u playing this on n64 if u r what kind of n64 controller r u using
Doesn't matter towards his play of the game. This is tool assisted, so the controller of choice doesn't matter.
Pringles Kim oh ok thanks
