Yesterday I was trying to enter Vancouver, as soon as I closed in on the city limits i was approached by a weird guy (Bald, 5'9", had an absolute dumpstertruck). He started to scream at me to "go back to Surrey", i was incredibly uncomfortable. When i told him that i needed to go to the city center to visit a friend his eyes opened wide shut, he made a sound that i would only describe as "beastly", toe-walked towards me and promptly started to beat me up. I passed out and woke up at the Washington border. Please if you think of going to Vancouver beware of this guy.
I told him how cool it was to have city pride, and I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for entry or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
Rumor has it that the ear piercing screeches made by the Vancouver SkyTrain are actually caused by this strange bald man grinding his teeth at the thought of newcomers entering the city.
I can’t stand the Ketchikan slander. The food here is awesome you just gotta know where to look. 55North Bakery, NY Cafe, Panhandle Pizza, Garcia’s Galley. We have great crepes also, they make me go :3 :3 :3
Kind of surprised NL didn't know that Haida Gwaii is part of BC/didn't recognize it. I guess there's not much reason to know about it unless you grew up in BC though...
