Rainbolt started playing Geoguessr after watching Ludwig and GeoWizard collab. And NL is Ludwig's favorite streamer, or at least was at some point. So if you think about it, NL actually made Rainbolt.
I mean thats relatively consistent. Reykjavik definitely gave me more skitown vibes than city vibe, but most populous place in the country definitely gives it a pass.
Nahh he's actually so wrong. The arrow generates a line of possible positions from its origin. If you know you're looking somewhere in Peru, by placing the arrow in the middle you can instantly eliminate half the options. When you place it outside of the country, it can still be on that line anywhere in the country.
@@kianheus2487This comment is like a year and a half old and I'dbe the target of a Chat Roast™️ if NL knew I was writing it, but I want to mention that you're talking about a slightly different use-case. He's talking about using the arrow to confirm the approximate location (making sure the country is correct), while you're talking about using it to eliminate specific locations (determining which area of a country to focus on). NL's method is better for his style of inductive reasoning, where he draws from a patchwork of eclectic knowledge to make inferences and jump from the general to the specific. Your method is better for a more deductive approach where you look for certainties and use them to sequentially exclude untruths until only the truth is left.
Geowizard put competitive geo on the map way back in the day, he didn't do any gay tiktoks they were long format videos with very little editing. No wonder you've never seen them
rain bolt didn't make geoguessr. Not even close. But he definitely helped it get even more popular. Saying rain bolt made geoguessr is like saying ninja made twitch.
I completely agree. I’d say Geowizard was the original who brought it to the masses. Plus Tom’s videos are amazing and incredibly entertaining compared to the same rinse and repeat shit Rainbolt puts out, regardless of how good he is at the game.
“city starts at 150k” i live in hot springs arkansas, population of 30k, 100% a city. a town has in the hundreds of people, a hamlet has in the dozens. a city is pretty much any place where on any particular visit to any place of business you are more likely than not going to not see anybody you know
I definitely agree that a place of 30k is pretty much as always a city, but idk how you can say that a place of a couple thousand people is a city. I mean maybe in the Usa and some other countries they're fucked up to the point that a place of 2k might look or feel like a city, but in Finland that's definitely just a small town.

I follow the logic, makes complete sense to me. Time to repeat the conclusion without context ad nauseaum in chats all over twitch.
I calculated how many social connections it takes to get from me to NL and it's exactly 6. Checks out with the hypothesis I guess
