I am in America but all the malls and supermarkets that i have been to are nothing compared to the malls and supermarkets in the Philippines. Malls and supermarkets in the Philippines are immaculate.
The secret to how clean the nicer malls are is cheap labor and cheap public transport. They can pay people less because unlike in NYC these people don't have to live that near to downtown, and unlike in California where even a non-pro driver has to have a driver's license to be hired (and even then you might use your own car and laws don't cover all the expenses for it because it's a managerial position), they can take public transport. The problem: public transport might have a lot of seats vs California, but it doesn't have as many seats as Tokyo at any given time, so you have to wait for the same vehicles to cycle back. Some people leave way earlier to account for that and you have people working at a mall that opens at 10am already be part of the morning rush for people that have to be in by 8am, making the freaking lines at the train and buses worse. But since it's a lot less impossible than the cost of living in NYC and California I'm going to hedge my bets the US locations will get an economic correction one way or another way sooner (obviously a Statist solution might make it sooner since these two are blue states but still). Hell, Manila has several pending rail lines but one of them that's supposed to take the load off the main line runs parallel for half its length, so up north everybody is still converging in the same area. It will be freaking hilarious when the pro-public transpo and bikes only crowd get to see the chaos isn't reduced and then still blame cars.
I live in america 2 i agree with you with the malls but i do not agree 100% with you with the supermarket i don't know what supermarket you been through but no
The Juicy Vlog is way more better than the advertising companies the Department of Tourism paying million of pesos to promote the Philippines. This is the real experience. More power and God bless.
I am glad that your parents had a fantastic experience out there in the Philippines which will help promote the beautiful and positive side of the country. Thank you for making it happen!
I love your dad & step mom , they are so appreciative with everything they see & experiencing in our country , They are good examples of foreigners who are good observers , thank you everyone
George, Lucy... kudos to you for being the best host/tour guide parents have... sure Jason and Claire enjoyed their vacation, their smiles and praises show it all..... now they know where to winter vacation......... leaving is the hardest thing to do when you're having fun...... I hope warm memories filled your hearts.... come back soon...God bless
I really love the sound of the British people expressing their frustrations, dismay or disappointments (11:10). It sounds hilarious to me as a Filipino when they use terms that is uncommon to us.
I 'm flattered with all the beautiful comments. There's always good and bad anywhere. Thank you for appreciating the place. The couple tour you well to make things enjoyable for both of you
I am so enchanted by your family! Lucy, your dad and Claire are so wonderful and lovely! I’ve been waiting for every new vlog with their adventures. I also feel sad that they’re leaving! I live in the U.S. but will be back in December and I’m excited to try the new places you’ve shown which weren’t there yet when I left prepandemic. I hope I could bump into your family when I’m out and about in BGC. Safe travels to your dad and Claire! I hope he decides to start a foodie channel and seriously consider starting a business importing Filipino food and goods to the U.K. That is a brilliant idea! More power to your channel!
True....the mindset in the Philippines mall culture is that you buy stuff at reasonable price and look good without spending too outrageous.....Filipinos usually go abroad at world cities like london or new york to splurge....a once in a lifetime experience then return to philiplines....its different really when you are a brit and american where most products are expensive at your home country. So enjoy the "filipino lifestyle"
It’s sad that their vacation is ending, but please know that we enjoyed having you here. You are lovely people yourself, and please come again anytime. All the best! 🥰

Hope they can observe and celebrate Christmas here. I’m sure they will be amazed. Thanks for visiting our country. Come back again and explore more. God bless on your trip back to UK. Maraming salamat po. ❤
Yes! It would be amazing if Jason and Claire could spend a couple months a year here after they retire! Winter is always a popular time for retirees, because it's still nice and sunny here without being too hot
BGC is a high-end place in Taguig, try going to rural areas then you can compare. It's just that there are also not-so-nice places in Taguig and there are just like good places where you are staying.
Lucy, can we request you to have an Asoka video or Piliin mo Ang Pilipinas video. I know Piliin mo Ang Pilipinas will be better, ever since, you are promoting Philippines and it's islands. More power!
Love your parents, they’re so genuine in their comments. Thinking they might noticed some negative vibe and that’s just being human as encountered through situational experiences. Missed Koda, he will surely love his mini grandpa shoes 👟. George % cup excitedly awaits him 😊. How’s d’ espresso @ Misokoshi?
Hi Lucy I'm glad to saw you family were enjoying i hope you like it here's in the Philippines ,you know i am your silent subscriber your channel ,God bless all of us
This family living in the crowd city of luzon opposite from the family from UK also their channel 8 MILES FROM HOME but they choose to live in small island of siargao.
So happy that your lucy's parents enjoyed their vacation in the Philippines. Hoping they will come back again. So with George family hoping theywill also visit the Philippines sooner.
Huge malls are all over in the PI because the hot weather and people want to enjoy the indoors with free air conditioning . It’s like their park over there.
After kumander Daot..these vloggers are probably one of the best in promoting Phils Tourism..pls continue and Happy u guys are here in our humble but beautiful Philippines
That's sad that they're now heading back to the UK, vacation is over. I am grateful for how your dad and step-mom appreciated the Filipino hospitality. I wish the rest of Metropolitan Manila were like the BGC/Makati areas where foreigners could see the same modern facilities and cleanliness. On the other hand, it's good that the rest of Metropolitan Manila, the older parts are the way they are because it gives them their own character. I bid your parents "safe travel" and hopefully, they will return to see other parts of the Philippines.
😅Phils has only 2 type of weather (wet & dry) and so because a lot of houses have no A/C & utility bills is high (energy power is expensive ) most t Filipinos stay in the malls to get cooler place & that also help the business getting the people on site
Im here in the UK in birmingham, but i much like more the malls in the Philippines, i miss home and lots of choices of bigg malls & shops in Manila, my family is there in Manila.🥰
When I was shall I say younger and my 4 kids were younger than 9 I would take an imprint of their shoe size every trip up to ph on business great shoes still have some for potential GT’s
I am in America but all the malls and supermarkets that i have been to are nothing compared to the malls and supermarkets in the Philippines. Malls and supermarkets in the Philippines are immaculate.
Ikr, i was depressed seeing our local mall here but the city’s is as near as back home!
Same here in Australia.

We are a shopping paradise. Also, a another British couple vloggers said that Manila has the best shopping even than Dubai.
I live in america 2 i agree with you with the malls but i do not agree 100% with you with the supermarket i don't know what supermarket you been through but no

Huge malls are all over in the PI because the hot weather and people want to enjoy the indoors with free air conditioning . It’s like their park over there.
Your parents, Lucy, are getting younger and younger there in the Philippines. Jason & Claire are even more comfortable there, lovely parents.
I hope they keep coming back here. Also, encourage them to start their own vlogs. Your dad and stepmom look and sound very smart, too.
Have you tried watching live volleyball in the Araneta? It’s intense!
But I love to see London. I hope your family will come back.
Other Phios big malls , too, which they have all local & imported products but Rustabs cater only imported products
Very interesting how Jason and Claire compare and contrast London vs BGC, with the latter taking the laurels and the accolade. That's really Cool!

You are just a few street away from American Cemetery which is also a good place.
This is a wonderful vlog👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I love it 😍 retiring here in the States in not ideal, you will get stressed.
I live in the states and I’m not stressed.
Jason and Claire should start their own channel. I'd love to see their travel and food reviews.
"full of random cheap things that you don't really need" hahhahha true but when you get out of the store you've already bought some stuff.
There are places like it also here, specially in slums area, dirty area like in market .
Lucy's dad is saying some facts about London. Been there! 😅
