I did this with my Motion M1400 tablet PC, about the same era of hardware shown here. I run Windows 7 on there, on a lowly Pentium M 1.1GHz with 2GB of DDR. It runs SO much better than a 5400 RPM drive - let alone a 4200! It was great finding a way for it to not be so painfully slow compared to my newer computers. Sure it bottlenecks at the CPU a lot, but it still runs much better and actually starts up and shuts down in a reasonable timeframe now.
Very very awesome, especially with the clone, saves so much time not having to reinstall os, and the drivers. Very cool. Something handy I do is keep loose hd's setup so that when I put it into any computer/laptop it will start to install Windows automatically without cd, right from the same hd.
Drivers? Why would u need drivers for a drive that already launched into Windows? I asusme u were referring to OTHER apps or hardware it is finding, not driver for the SSD
