What bothers me about videos like this isn't the video, but the comments. None of these people were saying any of these were a reason to not be healthy. They were just saying that they want people to respect them as people. Everyone has problems, but because theirs is more noticeable than others, people think they have the right to be rude to them, and they don't. There's no excuse to be rude to anyone. The point of these videos is just a reminder for all of us to love ourselves, and to be good to each other, despite what's going on in our lives.
Eye of Xaxaar In this particular case I was talking about the comment section. A lot of people are pretty rude in there. When it comes to what her uncle said, it depends on what the underlying statement meant. If he was saying "work out you're fat" in a "nice" way, then it was rude. If it was general conversation, then it wasn't rude. Since we weren't there, we don't know if it was rude or not.
Bruh these comments are triggering me lol How can you all sit there and make excuses for your shitty character, or lack of character for that matter, by telling "fat people" that "Well, maybe if you were skinnier people would stop bullying you." 😂 Man, how small minded are you that you are incapable of loving people for who they are rather than what they look like? The people being triggered by a video where all people are saying is that they love themselves, are the people who truly need to learn to love themselves because once you reach peace of mind with yourself you can truly start to love everyone around you. So prayers out to you guys ❤️ Hopefully you can learn to love yourselves, such as the individuals in this video. 😊💕💕💕💕
"Maybe if you were skinnier people would stop bullying you." You hit the nail on the head with this one Karla! This is definitely the kind of language that perpetuates body shaming and insecurity for many people. Kudos to anyone who is able to look past this kind of talk and expect respect no matter what their body type is. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on this Karla!
Karla Irene To all the people who say "if you were skinnier people would stop bullying you", guys, if you spent more time choosing your words, the world would have been a happier place. There's not necessarily a problem with others' attitude, it can be your own attitude's problem. It's not like all fat people are unhealthy, I can give you a list of demerits of being skinny. Also, it's not like none of the fat people have never tried to lose weight, sometimes it just doesn't work, because you don't know what kind of hormone changes they're going through. There are so many more reasons than eating too much, behind getting fat. I have super skinny friends who can eat a whole cow! I wish people would spend more time thinking about what they say.
Karla Irene meh if u love urself do urself a favor and be the ideal u.. bullying isn't right, but it's a fact that these people are fat and there's such a thing called morbid obesity. if they were comfortable with themselves they wouldn't put out videos every now and then justifying their lifestyle. being fat is unhealthy, if it triggers u and u don't want people to point it out it means ur ok with these people living unhappy lives(not that thin people are healthy, but being fat just adds to their problems) and tryna convince themselves theyre heathy and living in their perfect bubbles when they're dying (literally and figuratively) maybe they have some disorder, but they need to be humble enough to ask for help and not go on the net and boast
Cleodolinda Pinto What about the people who aren't morbidly obese. I have stick-thin friends who insist they are too fat. I have friends who aren't even overweight, they just look big and are told constantly to lose weight. I have friends who are heavy because of bone mass. Sometimes you need to tell yourself everything is okay so you don't break your own self-esteem. You have to "fake it till you make it" in order to live with yourself. You shake it off when people call you things and you feel comfort when you see others with the same problem. Losing weight isn't just a physical issue you have to tackle but also a mental one. At times, you even think that there is no point. I have friends who eat literal junk and haven't eaten a vegetable in months but are ten times skinnier and I know people who eat healthy and try hard but can't seem to stop gaining weight. I think people don't understand sometimes. Put yourself in our skin, and put yourself on a stage. Self-confidence is more a defence mechanism then anything. It's something you NEED (even if its simply to lose weight). You need the confidence to exercise to not fall back into it, and some people don't have it. It's not as easy as you say it is.
I'm on a weight loss journey and I think these body positive videos are necessary and I don't think that they are there to advertise an unhealthy lifestyle. I've always been fat and hated my body and tried to lose weight many times before. I've been successful at weight loss for the first time in my life now and already lost 20+ pounds in just 5 weeks. Do you know what's different now compared to the other times I tried to lose weight? I learned how to love my body and myself the way it is and learned that losing weight has to happen to better my body. Weight loss for me couldn't happen when I hated my body, because it made me hate myself in return, and I would always convince myself that I didn't deserve to lose weight and look good, because I just had such a negative outlook on myself. A negative mindset doesn't bring positive change. A positive mindset brings positive change from my experience :)
Krizyl Saguibal There's no secret it's just healthy eating and exercise. I only eat properly portioned healthy home cooked meals that have no preservatives, and I exercise 5 times a week, an hour each time. As I said before, I was fat my whole life and always miserable about my weight. I was always criticized and made fun of about my weight as a kid by everyone including people from school and especially my mother. These comments only made me more fat and miserable. "Tough love" and criticism about my weight did not help me lose weight if anything it did the opposite.i don't understand a persons logic when it comes to telling fat people their fat and think that it's going to help them lose weight. Fat people know their fat and reminding them is not going to help anyone. I decided to change my life when I moved out of my house and started to really accept myself and surround myself with positive people. When I grew respect for myself and my body is when I really wanted to better myself and lose weight. You have to be in the right mindset really.
I hope you could talk with people suffering from depression and see how they feel. As one who feels like I'm suffering from it, it's really hard to find things that could get me through my days.
What I really hate is when someone offers me something to eat and I refuse (because I just don't want to eat at that moment) they suddenly ask if I'm on a diet. Or when I'm at a family gathering and an aunt talks to me (alone) telling me "a really good diet that really works". Just stop, I know how to lose weight; if I ever wanted to lose weight, I would, so stop it.
I love how positive they are! You can tell they have a healthy esteem about them and acknowledge their self-worth. They just seem like really good people.
So basically this is a part of a series of videos you did of low self esteem individuals complaining and implicating that people who are not like them should adopt to them. You had Gays, Black, Women, and now "fat" people or as they like to call themselves big boned. What happened to "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. " How did we go from judging people based on their character regardless of size color or sexual orientation to these videos of people with no character to speak of expecting everyone else to adapt to their super low standards. Well I got a quote for you.... “It's not men who limit women, it's not straights who limit gays, it's not whites who limit blacks. What limits people is lack of character. What limits people is that they don't have the nerve or imagination to star in their own movie, let alone direct it.” ―Tom Robbins, Still Life with Woodpecker (1980) ....I too have a dream where we stop making videos such as these and actually take responsibility for our lives without the need for victim stories or pointing fingers. Everyone has limitations but guess what we all have a choice. Responsibility. Response-able. Being able to make a choice. That is our responsibility. A choice how you see the world, regardless of how it see you. Responsibility not to tell victim stories. Responsibility to not eat more calories than you burn. That is my dream.
The whole point of the series is that there are still people who really do judge based off of color, orientation, etc..., and that King's words are still not followed. Doing it with fat people is dumb because unlike skin color and sexuality, weight has a healthy acceptable range and while eating disorders exist, there has been enough research and work done in the field to help people overcome them. But you miss the valid criticisms with you're head buried up you're ass the way it is.
Krunoslav Stifter 100% agree with you. But people these days are not taught to fight and overcome when adversity occurs, but choose to fear challenges and then have a pity party for themselves and "find others like them" who feel the same way and start trying to get the masses to think they are normal. But no. They are weak minded.
Well said. Just because its popular it does not make it healthy. Everyone has obstacles and problems, life is not fair. But than we reach a level of psychological maturity where we see opportunities and not obstacles. You are correct.
I think it's very rude to straight up call someone fat. I see fat people the same way I see everyone else, I don't treat them differently or make fun of them. But it's such a big health problem and people need to realize that just accepting obesity will not do you any good at all. You will feel like crap all the time, die at an earlier age, and it will be harder to keep a stable relationship. I'm not saying this to be "that asshole", I'm saying this because I know so many people that are like this and they always tell me these same things. Just try some healthy routines and maybe things will go your way.
It seems to me that the "feeling like crap" and "keeping a stable relationship" part are relating to the prejudices that are facing overweight people. And we can change that by being better more respectful and less judgemental humans. The dying early part though is very true and severe and also none of your business if I may ;) If these people don't want to change their life style, like someone who drinks or smokes or has very life threatening hobbies, then let them be. Information (about health issues and such) is essential, but freedom of choices is too!
Aya Thiam I wasn't saying they feel like crap because people are making fun of them, I was talking about the feeling of being sick. Also are you saying you would rather fat people die than live a full healthy life? shame on you.
Aya Thiam And you just compared obesity with someone who smokes or drinks. (which are two very bad habits in their own right.) Why do you think there's anti drinking and smoking organizations? (Like YAERD or DARE.) Its because those two things are a big concern when it comes to health and other peoples health.
i'm an overweight person and this is not what i need to hear! i need motivation stories to help me on my journey for losing weight, i don't care what others think about me because at the end there are always people who will criticize others and try to make them feel bad about their selves whether you're fat, thin, tall, short so the most important is being healthy so you can be happy
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but I am a thin person and people think that it is okay to just bring up my weight because apparently if your skinny then their shouldn't be any issue with talking about your weight. I always get, "Wow, you're so skinny or How are you so skinny and have 4 kids." I have been told to gain weight and I constantly hear blowing away jokes. For me there is no way to answer these facetious questions without sounding rude so I just suck it up and act polite. I have been accused of having an eating disorder and people look at me weird when I am eating like it never occurs or something. oh, but all this should be okay since I'm skinny. It definitely feels like a double standard to me.
if these people love the way they are it's ok. If people want changes they will change. We just should take them as they are now, as we really don't know a true situation in their lives
You can't choose so many things about yourself but weight you can. If these people didn't want to deal with things they said then all they had to do was not eat as much and take care of their bodies. People give a negative vibe to overweight people because they tend to have a lower self esteem and show physical signs of bad habits (just like smoking). If you love yourself you will take care of your body and therefore love others and set a good healthy example for them. This comes from someone who's mother lost an incredible amount of weight to be there for her children, set a good example, and so she could be around long enough to see us grow up. I hope these people can someday do the same.
All these people are big, yet the title of the video is BODY SIZE. I've always been extremely skinny, made fun of for being so skinny, and not very muscular. Props to the misleading title.
its crazy how this video only talk about how big people aren't accepted. I've been skinny all my life and it's like the world hates me for it and constantly ask me if i eat. i was hoping this video would show both point of view of body size, not just from only thicker people
Okay okay I understand that my comment sounds really bad. When I'm saying this, I'm talking about people (such as many people in the BLM movement) who feel that white people shouldn't exist or are inferior to other races. It presents itself differently, but it's still a problem that exists. Honestly I don't think there's any way I could word this that would make me not sound like some horribly racist person to you, but the views online don't just stay online.
Honestly, the comments here are so discouraging. People think they're helping or pushing people to lose weight by being cruel but the amount of time I, myself have been on a diet, even for months and it would take just one person to say something before I would go back to eating the foods that brought me comfort. Most people who are overweight didn't get there overnight. I have a lifetime of going to food for security, so when I'm trying to stop and someone says something like some of the things that were said in the comments here, it is so easy to go back to it because I am truly fragile when I don't have the life-long safety blanket. Instead of saying it's unhealthy, say nothing because we know it is and I would every single person who has been overweight has truly hated themselves at one point or another and all you're doing is adding to the reason why we find it so difficult to lose it in the first place. These people are beautiful and brave ❤
All these comments are gross. I work out, I eat right but thanks to health issues I have to work 100 times harder then most. I would do anything to stay skinny! Genetics also are horrible.
genetics can only really define ratio of fat storage areas and propensity to addiction. In only extreme cases like monogenic obesity is it a genetic thing. The problem is health education. People actually think that eating food like veggies = weight loss or running 10 minutes = weight loss when the underlying factor is always caloric input vs caloric output while keeping up on general macros for overall health while at a deficit.
Yea that doesn't make sense, if you don't eat fatty foods you won't get fat that's just how it works. It may be harder for you to lose weight but you can still lose it
Akosa117 , what you are saying is absolutely false as not in line with science - at all. if you eat a low fat diet but high carb, you will keep on gaining. stop demonising fat. Actually there is a lot of research that shows that carbohydrates are in fact the problem, and yes, eating too much in general. that being said: you can never fully know what the reasons for someone's obesity are. there are genetic diseases that make some people gain lots of weight and make it hard to lose it even if they eat few calories. the same way like other people who are really skinny all the time even though they eat like pigs, they can just eat anything but there body just doesn't store anything. it's also genetic
As someone who used to be obese, I lost over 50lbs, yeah, eating right and exercising should be a part of everyone’s life. Thing is, I don’t think it’s fair to make nasty comments about how these folks should live their lives. This video wasn’t to justify their weight like a lot of “body positive” people do. This video was about respect. At any weight a person should be respected, whether they’re fat or not. You don’t always know what a person is doing at home. For me, it bothered me when I was made fun of when I was fat, it bothered me when people made fun of me when I started losing weight, and guess what... I’m literally like 7lbs from being average for my age and height, but I still feel self conscious. What if they’re ok with being fat? What if they already lost some weight? The fact of the matter is that there will always be big people, so why not respect them.
I don't think we should judge people based on things they can't control. And everyone deserves to be treated with respect. But pushing society to accept being overweight, and equating it with racism, I don't think that's healthy. Being overweight is just unhealthy. Of course there are a lot of good things about you, maybe your weight even taught you how to be strong. But the weight itself is just not a good thing.
I agree with the first part of your comment. Although I do not get what you mean by "accept being overweight"? What actions in your opinions push society to accept being overweight? And how is that a bad thing? Why should we point out to every fat person that they are fat? I don't see how that would help... The reality shows us that it doesn't actually. The persons in this video were shamed since childhood for their weight and it never changed. If you are overweight you know it, everything around tells you so: people that you may know or not, advertisments, doctors, you name it. Every single comment that isn't provided from some part of the sanitary services is unwelcomed and hurtful. By stating over and over again to overweight people that they are unhealthy you are not doing any good unfortunately.
Aya Thiam I'll try to explain. When I say "accept being overweight", I'm talking about the growing number of people who think that it's healthy to be overweight. I agree with you that we shouldn't shame people for being overweight. And it's not the place of a stranger to comment on someone's weight. But I also think that it's important not to ignore the facts. And the fact is that being overweight is unhealthy, it's not a good quality to have. Unfortunately it's both something that is very hard to change and something that's very visible. I also have a lot of faults, and I am very lucky that those are not as immediately visible. If it's any consolation, I judge the choices of people who smoke the same way. That's also hard to change, and visible.
I see everyone saying that being fat is unhealthy and I have never EVER heard or read or seen anyone saying it was healthy. Like ever. Loving your body has nothing to do with refusing to be healthy. It's about mental health all things considered
I am a very large girl, a side effect from life-saving medication that I have to take. And I have come to own the word fat. People when you are in person with them are always afraid to use the word in reference to my body, but I'm like that's what it is, it's on my body and I'm going to accept that and not be ashamed because that's who I am. An older relative of mine freaked out the other day because one of my kids made a comment about my fat, and I told them that I was okay with it, and I wish more large people like myself were okay with it as well. But me being fat doesn't define me.
I think normalizing obesity and unhealthy living is absolutely not the message we should be sending young people around the world. People have the freedom to do whatever they want with their bodies, but we should absolutely not push the narrative that obesity is now a societal norm. Obese people should stop telling others not to judge them for slowly killing themselves. Obesity is a huge problem nowadays and this idea of fat acceptance only compounds this crisis.
There are fat people and skinny people. Neither extreme is healthy, and of it were so simple to fix, we'd all be a healthy size. No one should be taught to hate themselves.
What nobody talks about is being ''skinny", I'm underweight and I dream of having muscles, getting called "skinny" is like calling someone "fat" it hurts and I know that that sounds stupid because people dream of the ideal of skinny but I don't feel skinny like the people on the magazines I feel unhealthy and people say just eat more but its not like that.
I see a lot of people in the comments talking about these people's possible health issues due to being overweight. I would like y'all to know that I'm almost 100% every single one of them knows the possible health issues due to being overweight or obese. Y'all can act like doctors all you want (only aimed at people that are not in the medical field), but it won't change the fact they probably already know the related health issues. This video isn't about people's health issues, it's about being respected like the human beings they are. How can someone choose who they want to respect and who they don't want to respect based off a person's looks? Bullying is being disrespectful as well. How can some of you say, "Well, you people wouldn't get bullied if you weren't fat," ? Y'all need to teach people/kids to respect others instead of encouraging them to bully. How much of an asshole do you have to be to make a person feel bad about themselves? I don't think any of you understand that some overweight people are comfortable with their bodies and they can actually be very healthy, regardless of their extra weight. I've gone to the doctor's offices with friends of mine that are way past their "ideal" weight and they receive a clean bill of health by the doctor. Do they have to lose weight in some cases? No. They're bodies can be 100% healthy. Would it help them have a better image of themselves? Maybe. That brings me to my next point. Just because someone is overweight doesn't mean they aren't happy with the way they look. I've met wayyyyy to many people who are overweight and are comfortable with their bodies. Just like some athletes are comfortable with theirs, just as some skinny people are comfortable with theirs, etc... At the end of the day, everyone should RESPECT one another regardless of weight, color, race, etc... And, for y'alls information, if it isn't your life, don't worry about it. You can be judgmental all you want (because as humans, we're naturally like that), but it ain't your life. Live your life the way YOU want. Whether it be with a bomb athletic body or a little junk in the trunk that make the ladies/men run wild.
Not just big people struggle with body size, but also thin people. My daughter gets told she is too skinny, but she can't put on weight. Body size, thin or big, should not define a person. Ever. Comparing ourselves takes away our own identities.
Obviously being overweight is unhealthy but I think it's very important to say that there is more to these people and that they shouldn't be judged on their looks, just like everybody else. Their weight might not even be their fault but still all people in the comments seem so be writing is "go exercise" instead of helping them to make a change by following the message of the video and saying "you are more than your body and you are in control of it"
People make fun of me all the time because I have really skinny arms.... I'm 130 lbs... I think everyone is judged to an extent. Just love who you are and respect the people around you. Empathy is very important. Some people are lacking in it
As they say here you should be able to accept your size, or other people's size, since elementary school being overweight was a reason to be ridiculed or laughed at. I agree, but as far as being satisfied with your obesity, that perspective might prevent a person from trying to lose the excess weight, not for social acceptance but for health reasons that can be dangerous.
Look, it's not cool to hate on people because they're overweight. However, with that being said, I think it's very important for people to understand that being overweight is literally unhealthy for you yet it's entirely in your control. Like nearly everything else in life, you have the ability to change your body type. All it takes is education, dedication, and discipline - things we should really be teaching our children other than "fat is just as healthy as being physically fit". However, if you're happy with being overweight, that's a great thing! Just know that you are in control.
I was really hoping that they were going to make it a full circle video, but I figured it was going to focus on big people. BODY SIZE should include all sizes; thin, thick, short, tall, etc. How many Little People would like to have a voice about how people see them. I'm thin and get a lot of thin shaming from people when I try to complain about not being happy with my body or going up a pant size. I don't judge people for their size, I judge them for their life style. If you are lazy and eat garbage, that's not good. I have become more lazy and am eating more junk so I am gaining weight and can feel how it is affecting my body. I feel fat and there is fat on me, just cause it's not a spare tire doesn't mean I don't have the right to be upset about it.
Okay let me say my opinion, I totally get people with slow/fast metabolism or any other reason that makes their body extremely unhealthy (too skinny or too fat it doesn’t matter) and they can do nothing to stop it it’s not their fault but what makes me mad that people use body positivity that is made for people who can’t help themselves as an excuse to eat more and not take care of their body. BODY POSITIVITY IS TAKING CARE OF YOUR BODY! IF YOU LOVE YOUR BODY TAKE CARE OF IT’S HEALTH!! Don’t try to starve yourself or overeat please .
Eating too much is like being a cigarette smoker. overindulging in elements that aren't needed to survive is not beneficial to overall health. I have no qualms with people who choose to live a life of overeating, smoking, or drinking as long as they accept that. If they're constantly trying to push off blame for their sadness as needed acceptance they must look inward first and foremost. This comes from someone who quit smoking a pack a day and has lost 47lbs in 2 years. The true problem with obesity is education. 99% of people think eating veggies = weight loss or running = weight loss when in reality fat storage or usage is only attributed to caloric expenditure vs caloric intake. These things only help push the scales to one side or another but if i had a nickle for every time i saw someone drink a gatoraid (that completely nullified the caloric loss of a 10 minute run they just did) i'd be a millionaire. Same goes for healthy hive-mind on scary cancer causing diet soda which completely goes against the findings of the FDA. Just take notes on your "healthy/natural/bullshit" articles on how much the products they are trying to sell are and how none of their findings seem to definitively say yes/no OR say at what volume something becomes an issue.
People always tell me that I at least I am not being called fat but it hurts just as much as being called as it does as being called skinny. My dad sometimes calls me a "skinny *ss" I have learned to ignore it and hide my feelings since I have done since u was only 4 years old. The only good part of my life are my true friends cause I know just by looking in their eyes that they will stay with me forever
I don't know about ya'll, but in this video I just see some beautiful individuals talking about a our struggle being comfortable with ourselves, and being accepted for who we are. I'm surprised this, and any of the other "How You See Me" videos are getting flack in the comments, SoulPancake can create and share whatever content they'd like, and if someone is that uncomfortable with hearing out people who are part of a minority group, or part of a group that's has been, or still is, oppressed, then that's on them. The human heart has room for a lot of love, and it is sometimes very hard not to judge, but when we are able to let go of our judgement, we can connect, and we are kinder to ourselves and others
I really like the message of the video, but I do not think that plus-size is not the only body type that people have negative comments about and not only the plus-size people struggle with their body image. What about very thin women or men, who have struggle gaining weight, men who are not muscular and do not feel like real men.. women who are flat chested and can do nothing about it and do not feel like real women... It would be great if this video also had these body types included..
I'd like to point out that some overweight people are that way because of health reasons, beyond they're control, boy necessarily because they don't exercise or what not.
I liked that on Gilmore Girls Melissa McCarthy was on there but it wasn't about her being big!! Don't think they ever even mention it!! I thought that was so cool!!
i think they should do one for skinny people, like i've been skinny my whole life and i always get called a twig or a toothpick and people think i'm weak and can't do anything. since i'm 14 it really gets to me when they make fun of me, but i just can't really gain wait to look "normal"
And yet skinny people are treated like they have a disorder and we all apparently don't eat at all. Being skinny isn't fun too. None of my clothes fit and I am always cold. And I eat terrible and still cant gain any weight. Sure being skinny is better then being fat but just take that in mind. Do not dehumanize skinny people just because they have it slightly better then people who are fat. Also at least me being skinny is not a health issue while being fat is a health issue.
This is absolutely awful. I'm fat and I don't need to be hearing that I and others should accept this. I need motivating stories to help me on my journey to health. Way to contribute to the obesity crisis SP!
Those stories also exists on other parts of RUclips ^^ Fighting to reduce prejudices against fat people and information and motivation about health issues aren't exclusive
It's not a prejudice to say that being fat is unacceptable and should not be normalised. How much will fat people like myself be thinking about their hurt feelings when we're dying in a hospital bed from obesity-related illnesses?
This video supports that you should accept yourself for being a certain size. They aren't saying that you should continue being overweight. I believe that loving yourself always comes before health. Then, you can be more motivated to help yourself become fit. And some of these people (me including) aren't "fat", but that's just how they're made. For me, I'm a more curvy and a bit thicker than most. I'm not overweight, that's just how I was made. I am very glad, however, that you did think about your physical well being
I realize body image is a very sensitive topic for many people that are overweight and for people in general, and I realize conditions that cause people to become overweight that are genetic and not their fault. and for those people Doing the best they can with what they're given I commend them and I do not think that they should be criticized. but at the same time I also have observed Those that have not taking care of their body those that have lost the motivation or never I had it in the first place and I have watched them become an unhealthy weight and it is disheartening scary and heartbreaking so for those people we cannot continue to justify their actions Saying that they should not a positive self body image Or a positive perception of themselves There are those that cannot afford it up ignore any longer because they risk hurting themselves as well as those that they love
I must say: I used to be a thin girl and I didn't really think about my body. But now that I am "FAT" I understand the feeling of other "fat" people better.
Funny thing is people judge overweight people or too skiny a lot because it's the most noticable ''problem'' . They're being told to lose weight or gain it, so that they can be healthy but more importantly accepted by society. What if personality could been seen in a similar way? It wouldn't be nice for some people to be called e.g. assholes everywhere they went and everyone was like
big people are fun and when needed there strong from personal experience although not all are like that. obviously some are different society needs to know to not be stereotypical you are you!
You could create the same video regarding height, shorter people are ridiculed and teased in our culture. Most American women refuse to date someone who is shorter than them. This gets overlooked because there is nothing the short person can do to overcome these issues, at least if your overweight you have ways of reducing your weight.
don't make being fat a good thing don't promote it ur only hurting them more i used to be 360 lbs and i look back at it and think why didnt people criticize me sooner .
when I read BODY SIZE I thought it was gonna be about different body sizes. Skinny people are judged and stereotyped too. And I'm still waiting for the Latino video.
Its true that this world see the people by there body structure. I hate such people because iam a chubby fat girl but I am happy that iam different from every one in this world sooo plz respect the person hw is she/he dnt comment on them because their are humans. Like u 😍
To the people in the comments section: Don't treat overweight people like they are aliens who should feel ashamed for not wanting to diet so that they can please your ideas of beauty and health, or like they should put off self-love until they lose weight.
I think it would be cool if y'all did a how you see me with christian pastors and youth pastors. We are misjudged in the world and in our own churches. The world thinks we are bigoted, self righteous, judgmental people that wield the Bible as our right to condemn people for their sins, which don't get me wrong, some pastors are like that. But honestly most just want to show others real authentic love and grace as much as we can and tell others about the Jesus that we truly believe is the Son of God who loves you no matter what. As a pastor, I am just as messed up as everyone else is, I just want to show others the love that has been shown to me.
true..video making me think..my body type is quiet female..big cups, round hips, not super skinny etc .. what unspoken thoughts and also subconscious information is triggered by that? ???
my oldest sister always put me down even if I lost weight I was never good enough. I used to hear you have such a pretty face if you'd only lose weight. But I know now that was and is her issues she has and tried to put them on me. We haven't spoke since my mother passed away 4 yrs ago. I have 3 brothers and I don't hear from them either.
I Am NEW To The LGBTQ Community. Growing Up I Was Forced Into Being A "STRAIGHT/Normal" Female, Especially By My Grandmother Rose Marie. My Former Relationships Had To All Be With Males ONLY!! I Could Never Go On Any Dates With A Female. My Relationship Even My Marriage With My Ex Husband Was Arranged By My Mother, And Her Mother (Both Now Deceased), So I Am Really Confused. I Am Attracted To Women More Than Men!! I Have A Lot Of Questions To Ask. I Don't Really Truely Have Any Decent Friends. Thank You For Your Time!
By the way even thin/ skinny people gets bullied how about addressing them next time. A lot of people don't see a problem in saying" Oh 😲 you're so skinny why?!" What do you mean why? A lot of people will think this question is only rude if you reverse it (ex: why you're fat?) but in fact it's just rude both way.
I thought it was about BODY SIZE? As in, ALL BODY SIZES? not just chubby/fat people? I feel incredibly unpresented in this video. I'm very skinny by the way. And not accepted-skinny. Can-barely-find-clothes-in-the-adult-section-skinny.
People dont realize that normal people can also be vulnerable. oh , about that uncle , he did not have anything to say about your body, he just cared for your well being. other people are entitled to their own opinion too right ? Its really nice that people in this video are comfortable with their bodies, really good for them .But in a magazine ? no. magazine trying to sell what we could be not who we are now. Being overweight (not just cubby) , clinically obese is small part genetic and mostly life choice . To change the world, you should at first change yourself, or you will end up being simply just being winy .
Beautifully said Chloe!
This was perfectly stated. +++
I wouldn't say "get a bike and ride it everywhere" is rude.
Chloe Corpening they mean well regardless
body size misleading I thought they were gonna talk about all body sizes not one
Bruh these comments are triggering me lol
How can you all sit there and make excuses for your shitty character, or lack of character for that matter, by telling "fat people" that "Well, maybe if you were skinnier people would stop bullying you."
😂 Man, how small minded are you that you are incapable of loving people for who they are rather than what they look like?
Dani, thank you for sharing your experience. Everyone needs to read this comment. We wish you so so much luck on your self-love journey ❤️
Hello, how did you do it ?
Krizyl Saguibal
There's no secret it's just healthy eating and exercise.
SoulPancake
Thank you so much I really appreciate it ❤️
These comments set the word disgusting to a all time high!!
I hope you could talk with people suffering from depression and see how they feel. As one who feels like I'm suffering from it, it's really hard to find things that could get me through my days.
tfw buzzfeed is talking about not excluding body sizes but fails to incorporate any other body sizes than overweight
This is not Buzzfeed.
oh the irony.
Exactly
... what r u even saying
do one for skinny people
Yes please!
BakerStreet Irregulars yeah! Skinny ppl are bullied even worse!
Reema Shahi no they are not...😒
well it depends whether you are a guy or a girl
Yeah! I am a twig with spaghetti noodles for appendages... not kidding.
This made me cry cause like it means a lot to get accepted no matter what size you are or what religion you believe in and son on:)
"Cause pretzels in Philadelphia are very important" 😂😂😂😩👌🏼 you tell em
How did we go from judging people based on their character regardless of size color or sexual orientation to these videos of people with no character to speak of expecting everyone else to adapt to their super low standards. Well I got a quote for you.... “It's not men who limit women, it's not straights who limit gays, it's not whites who limit blacks. What limits people is lack of character. What limits people is that they don't have the nerve or imagination to star in their own movie, let alone direct it.”
―Tom Robbins, Still Life with Woodpecker (1980)
....I too have a dream where we stop making videos such as these and actually take responsibility for our lives without the need for victim stories or pointing fingers.
Krunoslav Stifter You're mad videos are being made to remind us to love one another?
You're right... that is what having character is all about. ⭐️👏🏽
Well said. Just because its popular it does not make it healthy. Everyone has obstacles and problems, life is not fair. But than we reach a level of psychological maturity where we see opportunities and not obstacles. You are correct.
Your ideas don't apply to the LGBTQ community, educate yourself. We have actual rights being stripped from us bigger then calorie counting.
(Like YAERD or DARE.)
Its because those two things are a big concern when it comes to health and other peoples health.
i'm an overweight person and this is not what i need to hear!
i need motivation stories to help me on my journey for losing weight, i don't care what others think about me because at the end there are always people who will criticize others and try to make them feel bad about their selves whether you're fat, thin, tall, short so the most important is being healthy so you can be happy
I've been skinny all my life and it's like the world hates me for it and constantly ask me if i eat. i was hoping this video would show both point of view of body size, not just from only thicker people
I was expecting to see thin people too with a title like that. Slightly misleading.
Noize Tank me too. naturally thin people
"Venti Caramel Body", love love love it!!!
Me: I can't breathe. I need to rest.
P.E. teacher: it's cause you're out of shape.
I have asthma...
🙃
Could you make a "white" how you see me?
Len Stuffleluffleluphagus yes
Len Stuffleluffleluphagus most people automatically assume all whites are rich..sorry it's society
Yeah but.....isn't that the point of these videos? To show stereotypes that usually aren't all that true?
_no pe_ what would you want the white one to say? what social issues do white people collectively face?
DaBombDiggidy88 I agree I bust my ass 5/6 days a week and you have to feed your body right to do anything
80% nutrition, 20% excerise.
But the weight itself is just not a good thing.
you sir are wise. beautifully crafted comment without trace of troll at al.
100% agreed .
Thanks, Screaming-Muffin!
We shouldn't be judging them...yet we shouldn't be cheering them on for being unhealthy.
It's simple just don't listen to people opinions just be yourself and love yourself
As a fat person I can say that we shouldn't be judged based on how we look but based on who we are but we should try to lose weight
I love your channel. Please keep doing more awesome videos that will inspire us viewers. Kisses from the Philippines :)
Thanks Krizyl!
This reminds me of a really good Australian show called 'You Can't Ask That', I highly recommend it !
Preach it. Soooooooo true
That’s why I myself frown upon body shaming. ❤
I wish this video was more diverse & not just people who are wide & squishy.
i think they should do one for skinny people, like i've been skinny my whole life and i always get called a twig or a toothpick and people think i'm weak and can't do anything. since i'm 14 it really gets to me when they make fun of me, but i just can't really gain wait to look "normal"
would love to see a video about smaller sized people
And yet skinny people are treated like they have a disorder and we all apparently don't eat at all.
AJ213 you don't sound healthy at all lol
Danii That is my point.
This is absolutely awful. I'm fat and I don't need to be hearing that I and others should accept this. I need motivating stories to help me on my journey to health. Way to contribute to the obesity crisis SP!
Those stories also exists on other parts of RUclips ^^
Fighting to reduce prejudices against fat people and information and motivation about health issues aren't exclusive
It's not a prejudice to say that being fat is unacceptable and should not be normalised. How much will fat people like myself be thinking about their hurt feelings when we're dying in a hospital bed from obesity-related illnesses?
YES!! You can do it, Conor. I believe in you!
I am very glad, however, that you did think about your physical well being
Getting rid of fat is not what the vid was about, there are loads of vids about weightloss on youtube.
I can’t stand people always thinking I’m hungry.
That curly haired girl is so pretty!!
Major fatness, obesity, blubber, etc can cause long term affects for many especially in hot climates.
I think this video is good because it talks being heavy! However, I wish they talked about all body sizes including being skinny!
LATINOS | HOW YOU SEE ME.
I love this series
I don’t think this video should be JUST overweight people. People of ALL sizes experience body image issues, including myself who is underweight
These comments astound me. This is what society has come to.
Funny thing is people judge overweight people or too skiny a lot because it's the most noticable ''problem'' .
They're being told to lose weight or gain it, so that they can be healthy but more importantly accepted by society.
What if personality could been seen in a similar way?
It wouldn't be nice for some people to be called e.g. assholes everywhere they went and everyone was like
This is a little out of topic but does anyone know where I could get the blue dress the blonde girl is wearing? Cause omg she's slaying, I love it
Thanks! It's a Citi Chic tunic. You can find it here: - www.citychiconline.com/product-79799-zip-front-pleat-tunic-zinnia
big people are fun and when needed there strong from personal experience
although not all are like that. obviously some are different
society needs to know to not be stereotypical you are you!
Disappointed
All body types should be in this video .Very skinny and slim people too not just overweight people.
My comedy is making fun of myself because I am overweight. I do this because that way people know making fun of me for my size won't work.
You could create the same video regarding height, shorter people are ridiculed and teased in our culture. Most American women refuse to date someone who is shorter than them. This gets overlooked because there is nothing the short person can do to overcome these issues, at least if your overweight you have ways of reducing your weight.
I'm sorry but that blue jumper dress stole the show for me. 10's across the board honey!
The first blonde lady slayed that dress I need it 😍
don't make being fat a good thing don't promote it ur only hurting them more i used to be 360 lbs and i look back at it and think why didnt people criticize me sooner .
when I read BODY SIZE I thought it was gonna be about different body sizes.
Like u 😍
That moment when there are more comments going on about how bad the comments are, than actual bad comments.
All Body Sizes Matter!!!!!!
I see you without even looking
Great message wow.
I love this
I Am NEW To The LGBTQ Community.
2:42 she is super beautiful
What about skinny people? I'm super skinny and not because I want to. I'm like this and honestly I don't like it, I have been bullied because of it.
What about thin people like me. We get made fun of too. Being call too thin or do you eat?
1:28 GIVE IT BACK!!!
1:36 She's funny. I like her. I really do, like I'm not being sarcastic. I like her a lot.
They should do one on short people
The title says "Body Size." Shouldn't that include lots of sizes?
"I am smart, I am talented, and funny" haha me too.
*Size, doesn’t matter* Purposely picks overweight people to make this video(I’m just point it out)
