This is a good visual for beginner sewists and a good review for those who are more experienced. You may want to continue with the French dart and show the way it folds into the side seam which is a little different to the regular darts. Thank you. Will pass this along to a friend who still struggles with the "dart"

Why have over the years change the darts from angling the bust darts to straight toward the bust now?

I think it's more of a personal preference than a change... also, so times an angled dart looks more flattering than a horizontal dart... or vice versa! Sorry for the delayed response.
