Something to keep in mind is remote desktop, and similar apps open you up more to cybersecurity attacks, but if you need it, you need it. Something to consider at least. Thanks for showing us!
This is how I got hacked and my laptop was destroyed with Asian woman porn that wouldn’t go away. They claimed to be Microsoft and said I had a virus and insisted I paid them a few hundred. Don’t do it!
In most remote desktop apps require you to be connected to the same wifi as the host, not like the one scammers and hackers use that are able to reverse connect with a code
Why not use RDP? You could set it to only allow incoming connections from LAN, if you are outside of home, simply connect via VPN. Best Part no Software needed besides VPN.
For the last two years I've been using the chrome remote desktop to edit videos while travelling. All you need is a stable internet connection, works really well.
imagine you're away from your pc, you're doing your things on it by your phone, and your roommate/friend comes in and sees the pc doing shit by itself...
Is what my roommate did, he had built his own PC with good specs and used it remotely from his crappy laptop for all programs and games when he was out or in class
I connected a random youtube livestream comment section so i could comment anything on my phone and my computer will recieve it to play silly game 2048
Bro I’m so happy I got this I was looking how to connect a phone number to Google home and I get this guy maybe not what I searched for but this is legendary thanks!
I recently got a monitor arm and found out I can turn my monitor around and face my bed to act as a TV. This app works amazing as a remote so I can watch movies or shows from my bed
If you wanna do that you can use parsec, you can plug a controller to ur phone and its detects the device on the PC. Would recommend antimicro to move the mouse cursor with the joysticks
I feel like this used to be a baked in feature for chrome and I wish it were still. Because outside of personal machines you’re likely not going to have the admin permissions necessary to install the desktop version. ;)
It's very good if you have to leave for work ! NOTICE: You CAN'T open any games or connect if the pc is idle sleeping. Usually when i wanna download something from steam so i save time to game later i go put some lofy music (so the pc don't go sleep mode) and download the game i want later from work
My brother likes to scream all night on his computer until 4am EVERYNIGHT. So while he’s at work I’m setting this up so the next time he screams at 2am waking me up while he’s playing league of legends I can just shut his computer off 😂
this makes me think: if you run andorid on your pc while doing this, you can basically use your phone the same way, just that you use the cpu power of your PC with your smartphone
Used this for 2 years. I used it to keep check of my brothers when they're on my pc cause they did homework on it, keeping them from playing games on it and i do sometimes typically search and do stuff when i need to when im away from home.

But not with Chrome Remote Desktop; it’ll connect even if your phone and computer are on two different networks.
just use two factor authentication and a good password, problem solved. But i would not use google remote. Is way too unsecure. Anydesk pro for me.
If we ever end up in ww3, i want this guy on my side

I was looking for a simple way to do that without any shady apps.
Great tip, thanks!
I don't like 3rd party apps too but it is what it is.
If you have amd drivers/ adrenaline you can use and link it’s easy to set up

The real question is.... Can you play games on your pc from your phone?
No… Remote Desktop doesn’t do mouse tracking well

Chrome remote desktop is by far the best remote desktop app I've used. As far as I can tell it's more secured than other too.
I do this with the steam remote play app, I’m in beta and you can control your pc even if not connected to the same network
