carlitozik I do not agree. Problem with pretty much EVERY Christian Rock/Metal band is that, even if they are great musicians, sing nicely and very few have poetic or clever lyrics (not Sunday School Cookie Monster lyrics like Mortification), they lack IMAGE. Their music is great, yet their is nothing that differentiate them from any other metal band. Stryper did it well, YELLOW AND BLACK ATTACK, send them into fame worldwide, respected in the "secular" world. And Saviour Machine, they are loved and followed by thousands world wide, but Eric Clayton understood the ARTISTIC side of it. Metal is no longer just about the music, you truly need to be an artist, and sadly most bands neglect that part.
This is where a God given VISION or your own AMBITION comes to play. Too many Christian bands wants to use "metal" to spread the gospel, but they are not willing to put in the hard work, which is more than just the music. It is music, image, finances and marketing (business might be a better term). When having a band you need proper management. When Vengeance Rising started they moved quickly into a relatively small Death/Thrash market with great success, but it was a properly planned business plan which was supported by Sanctuary and Pastor Bob. Saviour Machine is once again a sample of a properly managed band. Another example is Nightwish, they were managed in their more famous days by Tarja's husband, a very successful business man. There is no short cut or excuse for Christian Metal bands not making it on the bigger scenes.
Wikus Botha "Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish." (Luke 14:28) That's why many bands broke up etc. "For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from G-d, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against G-d." (Acts 5:38-39) Ofcourse many musicians were not called by G-d to play their music. But He still uses them! As it is said in Scripture: "It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill; But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice." (Philippians 1:15;18) I agree with you about a proper management and a planned business. But i think demand for christian metal is lowest on the music market.
They're better musicians than most secular metal bands! Should be playing huge venues, Lord willing they will in-spite of the naysayers. Long Live Theocracy!!!
Good performance, I love "Absolution Day" (53:50), it is one of my favourites songs of Theocracy Band, thanks for share CollosseumMusicPub "♫ ...Bound in chains I owed a debt that I could not pay Standing guilty in every way When grace and mercy brought absolution Adonai, I raise my hands to the sky in praise For you have taken my sin away Behold, today is my absolution day... ♫"
Setlist: 1. I Am 2. The Master Storyteller 3. Nailed 4. The Writing In The Sand 5. Martyr 6. The Gift Of Music 7. Part 3 of (Mirror Of Souls) 8. Absolution Day
Seems like a rather short set list for an hour long show, especially when the band only included a third of the song "Mirror of Souls." What I think they should do is play 6 or 7 of their shorter songs that total up to 35 minutes, and then finish off their set by playing the full 22 minute version of MOS. The song tells a story, so to play just part of it doesn't capture the fullness of its message.
Great band God bless this band
comes to Brazil, Theocracy is excelent band
this band deserves to play on Wacken Open Air! \m/

This sounds like another band also. Same country too.

CollosseumMusicPub Yeah! :)

Nazov tej rapovej pesnicky na konci?
Jaya The Cat - Twist The Cap
Instrumental is GOOD
Vocal is +/-
Tiny club. Tiny stage. No doubt the in house sound system has a tiny mixing board too. Like maybe bass, treble, and volume knobs. Maybe. lol.
True, backing vocals are awful, it would be better without them. Matt is +/- when it comes to chorus
