You live in a country where some people believe the earth is flat. Why would it be a surprise that 12 people can't agree on the facts. The real question is that after exposing all of the lies and coverups in this trial, why would the DA try go for a retrial. The jury has already gone 10-2 not guilty. How would the DA believe their case would get 12-0 guilty.

There are people that believe she did it even if the state didn't prove it, and there's pressure to not let a murderer get away. However that's not the fault of the jury. It's the fault of the state for bringing a botched investigation. Even the judge said in the jury instructions if the prosecutors present two equally likely scenarios then they have failed to present their case beyond a shadow of doubt. The prosecutors presented multiple scenarios, so the jury should have found they failed and declared karen not guilty.

@@mathemeatloaf1000I think the problem is people can't look at things from a case by case basis. We are taught by logical fallacy anymore. We cherry pick certain individuals within a group to mean they are representative of the entirety of a demographic. Which of course is flawed thinking. You base your judgements on a case by case basis. The only exception would be when a group helps hide, obfuscate, or otherwise obstructs an investigation into a individuals actions. Even then you cannot consider all agencies as the same. In one agency they may back an accused without reservation, and another will ask for a third party investigation. We need to go back to looking at things on a case by case basis and only base our judgment on what has been established and proven.
