also! i'd definitely be interested in tracking time for a month or even a full semester of college, but unfortunately, the semester has already ended. it'll be on my to-do list for this upcoming fall semester though :)

This takes me back to the video you explain about the things that frustrate you in the study community. You explained that we all have 24 hours but these hours differ for each person because of each's circumstances and resources.
I felt that on a different level and I salute you for always being so understanding in your videos. It relates to this video now that yes, studying for 10 hours is unnecessary if you can achieve the same results in less time. Instead use your time efficiently because quantity is not always equal to more quality. And work smart, not hard!

thank you so much! it's something that 'm trying to incorporate more and more into the content that i make on this channel 🥺

This video was very interesting! I remember during 2020 lockdown I decided to track my study hours during the day and would work for 3-4 (sometimes 6) hours a day every day and got upset because I didn't reach 8+ hours. I realized afterwards that I didn't need to study all the time and it was okay to take days off or take time to live my life!

I love that you did a video on this because sometimes it’s easy to think you have to study all day and night to be successful. Work life balance is key 💛

I appreciate this video a lot. I'm always seeing people to study for 8+ hours a day and it always makes me feel like I'm not doing enough even though I work for 4+ hours a day outside of class. Seeing someone else who is happy with their grades and studies about the same amount I do def helps a lot

yeah totally!! i used to feel kinda bad after seeing a lot of study ig posts that listed out the time they studied, but now i'm more satisfied with myself :)

University in NZ (where I am) gives in an expected amount of time we should spend on each class. Each class should take 10 hrs per week, and a full time student would take 4 classes (40hrs per week). My lecturers usually break down how we should spend the hours (eg. 3 hours in class, 3 hrs reading, 2 hrs on activities and 2 hrs on assignments)

Although I must add I’m not very good at following this breakdown and often spend more than 10 hours if I’m struggling!

oh that sounds so helpful!! my lecturers don't do that for me, and i've definitely felt like some classes disproportionately required more work than others.

i love this video so much !! Love how you mentioned how everyone has different priorities with their time bc not everyone can study for 10hrs a day. it’s a good reminder that social media isn’t real and whatever works for you and makes u happy is all that matters .🌻

seo !! thank you for this video !! it really helped put things into perspective since it’s so easy to feel like everyone spends the day studying and like i’m not doing enough. i think i spend like 2.5-6 hours studying/doing hw depending on the day of the week, and it always feel like it’s not enough compared to my friends who spend the day in the library or those people who post about 10 hour work days. again, thank you !! really appreciated the video !!!

the 10 hour work days stress me out SO bad because i just can't do that, both because of other stuff i have to do in the day and because of my own physical limitations with chronic pain :(

since i go to an online uni, i have to create my own schedule. i do 8/8/8 so 8 hrs of school including lectures, 8 hrs of personal time and 8 hrs of sleep

i think this is a good experiment to see what you get done and need to get done in what amount of time. I should try this too! I'm a bit of a slow study person but maybe if I start tracking it I can see where I can do better and make use of my time better.
