I'm unconvinced getting Willy's partisan opinion helps. His explination of the Triti Principles Bill hara missfocuses the public's attention on the politics rather than its attack on Aotearoa's constitutional basis.
It is te tiriti which is stopping the wealthy few taking full control of NZ politics from behind the scenes. Consulting the treaty partner is a check and balance against those with rampant wealth.

Co-governance is in the treaty. Brits replaced rangatiratanga (run by local chiefs) into sovereignty (run by UK royals). The treaty house was set on fire but the treaty document still exists showing the details along with its burnt frayed edges. We've tried the colonial system for a hell of a long time and now is the time to give the actual documented deal a fair go.

What special rights do you have. Those in need are maaori and pasifika, so where is the equality in the statistics. Statistically pakeha nzers are the beneficiaries of their so called equality. Youre simply delusional to believe the ridiculous lie that pakeha are disadvantaged by maaori. In fact pakeha have only benefited from maaori , having seemingly forgotten they are here because they were landless peasants in their respective origin countries.

@@tommcg7564A partnership and an agreement are related concepts, but they refer to different aspects of business and legal relationships.
Partnership: It's when people or businesses join together to run something, like a company. They share the work, the profits, and the problems.
Agreement: This is like a set of rules or promises that everyone in the partnership agrees to. It talks about things like who does what, how money gets shared, and how decisions are made.
So, a partnership is the team itself, and the agreement is the rulebook they all agree to follow while working together.

@@tommcg7564 Partnership is not a word that exists in the Treaty. Could you be confusing "Making a Deal" with "Treaty?" The deal was the crown is sovereign and Maori become British subjects, something people walk over hot coals for even today. The other part of the deal was IF and only IF Maori want to sell their land they can only sell it to the Crown. That is the Treaty, nothing else, there is no partnership, the word does not even appear in there, yet Sovereignty does - twice. Maori ancestors were very very cleaver in asking the Crown for this, for they turned the "Hell Hole of the Pacific" into the wealthiest country on earth per head of population in only 120 short years after the Treaty was signed. That is quite some achievement and shows Maori elders were certainly not stupid to cede sovereignty to the Crown.

If the crown only had sovereignty and Maori didn’t. Only the crown could’ve ceded sovereignty because by your logic Maori didn’t have sovereignty?? Where is sovereignty in te tititi?

What a load of bollocks. I applaud David Seymour on his stand. I am sick to death of the unjustified arrogant stand of elite racist activist Maori and the opportunistic and overly self entitled attitudes of willy. NZ should be trying to make life equal for all NZers not giving one race priority over the other 159 cultures. Willy's spin is the ugly view when he wants to give one race priority. What is needed is education, self responsibility and iving a healthy lifestyle. Put the blame where the blame lays.
