@@crystalnait455 You do realize that not every white person being called out for having a racist attitude is some victim. People are quick to make excuses for white people who know that they are doing what they are doing to antagonize black people. We get it, sometimes racism accusations can be erroneous and overboard, but also sometimes people are simply being racist. On every video about this stuff, like literally 99% of them, there are bunch of people saying that black people are just too sensitive, you'd think there were absolutely no racist people in existence based on this reaction, but racism is hella common, and for a lot of people they think it's funny and edgy to say anti-black things. There are millions of those kinds of people, yet every time they are exposed there are people defending them. Stop.

She could have saved it anyway by putting conditioner in her hair in the shower, and pulling gently on the ends of her hair to kind of pull the knots out from underneath, if that makes sense. Exactly! I'm sure you've untangled way worse than that as well. My niece didn't comb her hair for over 2 months once. My sister in law brought her over to my house and explained that not only did she not comb her hair for over 2 months, she washed it the way it was. (Up in a messy bun with several pony trail holders wrapped around it.) Mind you, she is half Hawaiian and has very long (below her butt), thick, curly hula hair. I grabbed my conditioners to make my extra strength conditioner concoction and my combs that I use to detangle. She starts whining because I guess her Mom tried to get it out for over an hour. SMH, she should have just come to me to begin with. Well it only took me about half an hour to get it out. No pain or yanking or pulling. She was so happy. So I decided to call her Mom at work and mess with her. Lmao 😂 I told her Mom that it was too bad and that I wasn't able to get the knots out and that I had used my last resort and cut it out. Well in her family, having the hula hair is a must. Their Papa pays them $200 a year to not cut their hair. This being said, my sister in law freaked out! She started screaming and cussing me out. I could tell she wanted to strangle me. 😂😂😂 I told her I was just messing with her and got screamed at again. 😂😂 I was told not to ever joke like that. That I had given her a heart attack and she was freaking out because she didn't know how she was going to tell her family. Then I got to give her a hard time because I was able to get it all out in no time and she had been to cosmetology school twice and still couldn't figure it out. Good memories! 😂😂😂

This is a prime example of why telling black people to “educate” y’all on our culture is the goofiest shit ever. Y’all ignore the most blaring red flags of racism and give these people so much grace but let a black person do anything and y’all are down their throat 🙄. She’s patting her head saying “do you like my natural afro clearly fully taunting comments that were accusing her of cultural appropriation. The fact that that is her response shows exactly why she would get braids like these and unironically, it’s always the same kind of yt girl getting braids. Absolutely solid avice tho about the shedded hair. If your hair is impossible to comb, try just running your fingers through it and make a grab mothion towaeds the bottom and pull out the excess. If it really turns into a mega knot, go in the shower and douce it in conditioner. Next hold onto the ends where the knot is with one hand and start to GENTLY pull hair out with your other hand by grabbing a few hairs or even q at a time above the knot and just pull it out of the mess. Might take a while but it deff works

i hope ppl in the comments can CUT THIS BS abt this girl having good intentions, or thanking OP for explaining what she did wrong calmly. The girl did this to mock black people cut and dry. She did her makeup differently to look much darker ONLY when she was wearing the braids , put on long nails ONLY when she had them braids in and did the aggressive head pat stereotype while LAUGHING. Patting your head is normal if you have in cornrows, feed-ins, loc styles, or wigs with long nails, but its almost never to that extent. Furthermore, that trope is so common when trying to mock or satirize ghetto ppl, you can probably find it in at least 3 shane dawson videos from back in the day💀
And to the ppl saying her lil "natural afro" comment at the end wasnt malicious need to go finish MIDDLE SCHOOL first bc you know damn well thats not what she meant. The term "natural hair" is synonymous to the hair of people within the african diaspora. Have you EVERR heard a white person refer to their hair as an afro? The term Afro was MADE for black people to rebel against the pressure to hide their natural hair behind relaxers, wigs, etc, something thats not an issue if you grew up 100% WHITE.
She's obviously doing this to make black people mad, but yall wanna give her chance and chance AGAIN without ever learning why black people are upset. If she truly was respectful, or wanted to wear it bc it looked cool, this whole mess wouldnt have happened bc she couldve GOOGLED IT. It is 2023 im TIRED of yall acting like you cant read an article for 5 minutes to save your life. Its not hard for white people to learn about the risks of dying your hair for the first time or side effects for getting a perm, so why can yall do it for hairstyle thats obviously COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from what you're used to? ONE google search couldve told her how to how to properly take care of her hair. ONE google search couldve told her how to take the braids down for straight hair properly. Another google search couldve told her how to detangle matted hair at home without having to cut it, but she couldnt be bothered. She didn't even have to read actually because of RUclips. She even had so many tiktoks of black ppl, in comments and duets, TRYING to educate her or at least warn her on what can happen if u dont take care for it properly, but she didn't want to listen.
Black people have spent time and time again trying to explain to others not only this but the systemic racism still VERY PRESENT, but we are just seen as being "too aggressive" or "bullying". We are TIRED. But yall still want us to tell you in a tiktok all nicely and "respectable" when u STILL just assume that black people's concerns are just soooo irrational and dumfounded, but want to give the white girl whos clearly mocking people with NO REMORSE the benefit of the doubt. At the end of the day I don't care if you want to be blissfully ignorant about Black issues. But don't expect us to suck up to nonblack peple and hand-feed you the summaries if you're not even willing to step out your bubble of ignorance to learn.

as for me, I so badly wish I had straight hair, and anytime I get a weave or a blowout, I definitely, do the straight hair 'whoosh whoosh' flip effect 😭

@@scorpianna420 Ngl it kinda reminds me of a few of my nonblack exes who would ask "do i get the pass for having a black gf" (yes, I was in high & middle school😂). For nonblack women, I think its some sort of culture fetish, for the nb men I hope it was just a joke💀

There’s a reason white girls don’t get those type of braids tho… this was a prime example. Certain hairstyles aren’t just not meant for certain hair types… she has thin white straight hair and mixed it with braiding hair which is naturally kinky… a recipe for disaster fr. and that’s no hate

@@Shiann444 definitely true in her case, but there are white people out there with hair textures that would work with braids. whether that’s ok though comes down to how we think about racial injustice in america
