    I added a stem riser plus the adjustable angle stem riser to my X24, and rotated the handlebars back a bit as you did. Much better for this 76 year old rider. Thx for this video

    forgot my gloves a few weeks ago and got some annoying rub burn between my thumb and index finger from the throttle knob turning lol. Now I keep the gloves in the rear rack pack so I always have them on the bike and wont forget.

    Great info on affiliate links. I need to use your Amazon one more. Might as well give someone some credit. This was a fun video. You make me chuckle. I am listening then say to myself, “oh Russ, you are funny.”

    Hi RussSunday I went on the longest ride yet on a trail, which was just under 30 miles. Boy I was pretty tired after that, alot more pedaling.
    But I wanted to tell you a trick that work, but for me and that was on our water bottles, which I have like yours, I filled it with ice and added water, then stuck it in the freezer for an hour.
    It kept it cold for almost 2 hours. If you already tried forgive me, just thinking about you saying it wasn't cold.
    Have fun riding.

    An idea for tools would be a pencil bag like kids use. Also, motorcycle shops carry handle bar bags that work great for bikes. Black, brown leather and sometimes canvas. May have to go to different shops to find your particular diamond. Hey Russ I saw keys hanging from your bars. Don't do that. Ask me why..LOL.

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  11 месяцев назад +2

      I know why. But I just do it to keep track as to which keys go to which bikes. I never use them unless I need to remove the battery. I never leave my bike either.

      @RussIsRight well yeh. But I was thinking in terms of losing them while you ride. Happened to me once...and only once. I got a bag!! 😃

    Love the bike. I got it since last thursday and already 100 km on it. The only thing im missing is a front fender, it is really rainy here (the netherlands). I see them selling a fender on the engwe US site but not on the EU site, which is frustrating). I think im also gonna raise the handlebar a little bit so i dont sit in a crazy pose like they intended.

    Good job modifying your bike! Can bet you miss your water 💧 bottle holder! I finally got my warranty replacement motor and exchanged it! Back on the road again! Wasn’t too hard doing the work!
    Certainly glove season, I’m using lite weight leather gloves already!
    You have a way of riding the most peaceful neighborhood roads, at low/no traffic! Kinda getting used to your rides to nowhere! Just nice getting out!
    Can see, you’ve got a hard time going slow! Speed is more fun!

    Hey Russ great ride video. Glad you got a case for your new iPhone 15 Pro Max, have to have that protection. You were wise (not cheap) to get your case from an outside vendor to save $$$. I ordered the same iPhone for myself and the 15 Pro for Mrs.K recently both in black and should receive by 10/30. Getting the ESR MagSafe wallets too. Hoping you're having fun with your new phone on your rides Russ!

    Hey Russ, yeah, forgetting ur riding gloves is like forgetting underware lol. I added outdoor silicon to my kickstand coz it would accumulate water in the kickstand when it rained, it worked, I rode to my sisters place yesterday in the pouring rain and no water accumulated. Thank you for another video 😎

    I think any Qi wireless charger will work, it certainly does for older ones. Much cheaper. Might not be as fast or quite as convenient in that it sticks in the right place, but I wirelessly charge my phone at night. I have the little charging pad on my nightstand, set it down, make sure it’s in the right spot where it started charging, go to sleep. Slower charging would eliminate the overheating concern.

    Hi Russ! Hello from rainy (at long last!) Houston TX. Today you are in the cockpit, buddy!
    Your videos were instrumental in my decision, at a young 80 years old, to get an e-bike. Also have an iPhone 15 pro max. Love my phone and recommend you invest in a magnetic charger. I’m driving an Aventon Level.2, and find it a great investment in healthy living.
    But I always pedal, usually in PDA 1 or 2. Happy trails!
    AJ.

    A rolling stop is called a "Safety Stop" by some States and is legal. When approaching an intersection that has a stop sign, a bicycle may slow down and proceed through the stop sign without stopping as long as there's no oncoming traffic and it is safe to do so.
    This is what Colorado State Patrol says about it.
    "The Safety Stop gives people on bicycles the legal option to ride slowly through stop signs without stopping first, as long as they are yielding right of way to pedestrians and other road users who have the right-of-way.
    Bicyclists may also proceed at red lights after coming to a complete stop, if there is no oncoming traffic. Bicyclists can approach intersections at a reasonable speed and choose to apply the Safety Stop or continue to perform a traditional stop at both stop signs and red lights.
    Only bicyclists ages 15 and over may perform the Safety Stop. Younger riders may do so when they are with a parent or legal guardian."

    About 4 days ago, you were talking about batteries. Well that afternoon, I went out riding and lost all power after braking going down a steep incline. Tried turning it back on, nothing. Pushed battery check light, nothing once again. Two bike shops in my area sell e-bikes but refuse to even work on them. Tried reaching out to the San Diego company that sells the bike, no response from them, maybe closed after being sued, who knows. So in layman’s terms, I’m off the road again till I get the problem fixed, till then will be watching.

      if you have a Trek E bikes shop in your city, they should be able to help you. Here in Victoria BC, Trek works on other e-bikes other than Trek.

    Russ I am trying to decide on getting either the HIMIWAY COBRA PRO, or the HIMIWAY RHINO PRO. I do not like the idea of a thumb throttle though. The cobra pro has full suspension where as the Rhino PRO I would have to upgrade the seat post and the seat. What are your thoughts on either of these two bikes?

    • @RussIsRight
      @RussIsRight  11 месяцев назад +1

      Cobra Pro is definitely a stronger bike and more capable but of course costs a lot more as well. Between the two, if you can afford it, go for the Cobra Pro.
