    Doing this in probably the next day or two. I got the whole wiring harness for each door. I’m just going to run the wire like you did instead of trying to reuse everything. I’ve heard you have to flash the pcm. This looks like the most simple and effective way to do this. Thank you for going so in depth. Super easy to follow. Will post and update. Going in a 2011 Chevy 2500 extended cab work truck. (Only front windows go down). Thanks again man I’ll check back in!

      The frustration is deep in your comment... 😂! On a serious note, I understand your frustration. I couldn't find anything on doing this job and just had to figure it out on my own. In the end I wired up my power windows, my power folding mirrors, installed a remote start alarm and have it roll the windows up on arm and fold the mirrors in. It will also fold the mirrors out on disarm. It was alot of figuring out but in the end completely worth it. Hopefully you get it all figured out! 🍻

      In this video ruclips.net/video/BwqbYHjybtA/видео.html I explain how I tried to swap out my w/t door harness for a lt harness that had power windows and mirrors. Unfortunately it disabled my power door locks although the mirrors worked. Instead of messing with my factory door locks I just hard wired the windows and mirrors. Maybe it's not the best way but it's what I did to get it done. I did cut up those harnesses I purchased, getting the pigtails from them to wire in the switches. I have a few videos I made talking about alot of this stuff.

      @@scottyterrazas if you go to my channel and find the Playlist for my Sierra you will find videos about it. Unfortunately I lost a bunch of footage that i recorded so I just uploaded what I had. It may help some. It's honestly not that bad. I did the mirrors and redid the windows at the same time so I built the harness to accommodate the wiring for both. I started by using a 12v power supply, some power mirrors with the drivers mirror switch and a multi meter. I identified all the wires on the mirrors as in what each wire did and wrote everything down. I then built the harness to go from the drivers door to the passenger door. I found a 12v constant and a 12v switched source under the dash and tapped into that for my power. You will also need a ground source but, you could just ground to the actual door. I wanted power folding mirrors but that's a whole other can of worms. I did show how to wire that up as well with some relays. I also hooked up the mirrors to my compustar alarm so when I lock the truck the mirrors fold in, and when I unlock the truck the mirrors unfold. It's a little over the top but it's how I wanted it to work. I also wired my windows to roll up when locking the truck. I have a bunch of videos about everything so feel free to check them out. I will try to answer any questions you may have. Good luck 🍻

      @T_B_C_L  Год назад

      @@scottyterrazas oh man the mirrors are such a pain but not impossible. Unfortunately when I was doing the mirrors I lost a lot of the footage I had recorded explaining what wires were what. I wish I would have wrote it all down. I'll tell you what I did. I got a set of cheap power mirrors from OfferUp and a window switch and just bench tested everything using my power supply. Once I figured out what all the wires were I ordered a set of power folding mirrors from like 1a auto I think and just wired them up I used the same power source that I used for my power windows. If you watch my mirror videos I try to explain everything but without some of the footage it's hard to understand. It will give you an idea of where to start though.
      You basically just gotta feed the right wires on the mirror switch with 12v and ground. Once you figure out that, then you just gotta figure what wires from the mirror switch plug go to what wire on the mirror. I would try to get all the plugs(pigtails) from like a junkyard that go into the switches. In my case I had already ordered brand new complete door harnesses so I had all the plugs.
      I did put up a video explaining how I did the fold part and that takes 2 relays so you can wire up a switch. I wired the fold part using a ground trigger so I can connect it to my compustar dc3 alarm. Now when I arm (lock) my truck the mirrors fold in, when I disarm (unlock) my truck the mirrors fold out. That's a little overboard but it's what I did. It kinda seems overwhelming but it's honesty not that bad. My biggest advice to you is get all your parts together figure it all out and wire everything on the bench (table) and get everything working using a 12v power supply. Before taking anything apart on your truck. This way your truck is not down and you don't get in a hurry and give up. Lastly, if I can do it anyone can do it! Good luck 🍻

      I don't have experience adding power windows to that year but I'm pretty sure you can hardwire any vehicle if you do it the way I did. Hardest part would be figuring out the switches especially the drivers door window switch.

      @@BrianYepez-w5n it depends what you are attempting to do. I only used the pigtail plugs off both harnesses which was a big waste of money. If you are wanting to hardwire like I did try getting the harness from a junkyard. These parts are getting harder and harder to find though so maybe get whatever you can find.

      @@T_B_C_L so I had bought the door panels with door switches and harness, my problem is a car electrician said it’s a hassle to do with the oem door switches so I ordered the door switches off Amazon and the plugs I have are not close to what I’ll will be needing to do it how you did it

      @@BrianYepez-w5n yea, unfortunately that's a job not very many people or even shops want to take on. If you have the door switches and harnesses like I have, meaning they look the same, I would definitely use them. My whole truck was hard wired and I've had zero issues. Best part is, anybody that gets in my truck can't tell at all. The job seems intimidating but it's actual not difficult at all. My advice is to get everything working on a table or bench outside the truck. This allows you to figure everything out much easier. Basically like I did in my videos. Make a schematic of your wiring then just transfer that to the inside of your truck. Easy peasy 😉

    • @T_B_C_L
      @T_B_C_L  Год назад

      That sounds like a good idea but honestly it's not really possible. You need to get the wiring through the door grommets and that's not possible with any type of connector already built into the harnessr. You really need to build it from scratch. Honestly man it's super easy. Just get everything you need (window regulators, window switches ect) and build it out of the truck to work out the kinks. Once you have everything working properly now just take what you designed and build it in the truck. Kind of like I did in the video.
