@@openingchocolate Ended up trying it :) delicious chocolate. love the quality of it, design, history and smooth rich taste with subtle hints of other flavors!
I think the thickness (but I could not confirm it, which is why it is not in the video) is part of the symbolism of slavery in cocoa being hard to break. It is a big bar to be sure!
Hi there! I found your channel today and im glad i did =) you know so much about chocolate, i like listening and learning about dark chocolates around the world. But where are all the chocolate lovers on youtube? its really strange for me that you have not more views, i think its just a matter of time and more people will find your channel, you have so much information to share we need to bump you up! About the chocolate, i tried tony's a couple different kinds and i enjoyed the 70% the most but the caramel seasalt was also good, im more of a dark chocolate lover so im curious what your thoughts are on the dark chocolate bar? i think your not making another video on the same brand are you? thank you for your videos! im looking forward to your next video and going to watch the older ones in the upcoming weeks =) im your newest follower number 64
HI Mickochi, Thanks for watching! I am trying my best to get more people to love dark chocolate. It is good for so many reasons! I am glad that you had the chance to try some Tony'. The caramel sea salt is actually their best seller! The dark bar is alright considering their mandate is not to make the best high-quality chocolate but to have an impact on the labour in producing the cacao. So for me, in this case, the goal of the company is worthwhile enough to be included! Thanks for following!
There chocolate definitely appeals to a lot of people with its familiar tastes. And you are right, zero plastic waste is fanatastic!! Thanks for watching!
Great video, have you ever tried colombian brands? There are some great ones, like Tibitó, Taita, Davida, Mestizo, Republica del chocolate, fruto de cacao, Cletto, and many more. There's this one called Distrito chocolate that is very special for the social impact they have, is run entirely by a cooperative of farmes thatbused to grow coca (Used later to make cocaine), and they, in the frame of the peace process en 2016 with the Frac-ep guerrilla group, started replacing their crops, and they have recieved a couple of awards; it would be great if you checked any of these colombian brands, straight from the origin to the bar. Love your videos, I hope you and your loved ones are safe, hug ñs from Colombia ♥️🇨🇴
Hey Laura! Thanks for watching. Where I am Columbian makers are a little harder for me to get but I have had some. In general South and Central America do much better with their social responsibility and impact on the community in the cacao business. But that is an interesting story, I will definitely look into it more. And now you have given me a list of makers to seek out too, so thank you!!
wow! they are going to be the "Tesla" of chocolate. love this vision! thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I love watching your weekly videos and learn so much from them as it applies in so many aspects in life other than chocolate.
I don’t think I said it was. Chocolate is not a health food. That includes dark chocolate. If you actually look at the quoted studies a person would have to eat a ridiculous amount of chocolate to get the dose required to have a significant health effect. It is a luxury food. It may , MAY, have minor effects, but most of the time those effects are not available due to dosage in bars of certain chemicals. Also chemical levels vary by significant amounts based on genetics, post harvest, and processing. So you are right but also no chocolate is not a health food.
You seem so kind :) this video is has also been very helpful, thank you!
Thanks for watching! I just want everyone to eat so great chocolate ;-)

Another great video! I’ve actually had these. I’m a fan of their goals and mission but the shape and thickness take getting used to.
