- Episode #33 of the UNO MAS levels showcase series!!!
For those that don't know what an UNO MAS level is, essentially it's a short level made to showcase something neat, unique, silly or glitchy in Mario Maker 2. Typically, once figured out, these levels will take under 30 seconds to beat...but those 30 seconds are usually filled with eye opening moments. Let's dive into these levels!
Shoutout's to all the level creators in today's video. Level codes are featured in the video before each level is played, so check them out!

“ if you turn around and hit it with the bumper your car won’t take damage.” I use this strat in real life on the road when traffic gets backed up.
Hold up
Hol up
Ho up

At 15:25 in case you were wondering if you listen closely you can hear a note block hidden underneath the 1-up/question mark block.
I thought I knew that sound lol
I came here to comment that as well. They put it on the bottom row of the level so that you wouldn't see the bottom of it go down each time - however, if you look really close at the bottom two corners of the question block, you can see like one white pixel at each corner every time he bounces on it (of course, the sound is the more obvious giveaway).
@@Rocky2418 I didn’t see the corner pixels thanks for pointing that out.
3:33 thats a throwback right there
In that "coin yoink" level, I noticed that the blocks that can be moved or changed(on/off blocks) are the ones that don't work
i saw it too
That implies that terrain and entities have separate hitbox logic, which makes sense.
The builder suit / box one, I think I can explain from a dev standpoint (and this is just a guess, mind you).
Whenever you swing your hammer, the game probably checks the place in front of mario for blocks. If it detects one and it's a breakable block, it breaks it, if not, you bounce backwards.
Somehow, the builder boxes have a higher priority in the processing (or come earlier) than the mushroom platform. So if they overlap, it checks for blocks, detects the box and let's you swing the hammer regularly.
Also, Frog CEO making an appearance, nice
"Suddenly Bowser, Slamming himself on a pow block"
I did that once in real life and fractured my chin.
@@Gatorade69 oof 😣
The „Is it Possible“-Theme awoke some memories in us. Dave you got no idea
I am unaware of this. May you enlighten me?
@@LudaChez 2017-2018 DGR content. When he first did Mario Odyssey stuff. So cool to remember how I got into the channel!
☺️☺️☺️ the "kill all the yellow goombas without touching the ground challenge" with the BEST FAIL MONTAGE EVER!!!
@@Imaproshaman7 thank you. It was nice to ask a question and receive a real answer ok RUclips for a change.
That was a great series
This is a perfect way to start off my day a new uno mas video
I want there to be a shirt that you can buy that says, “Checkpoint City” on the front
*Take my money*
It's a beautiful city that checkpoint city
Just shut up and take my money
I want it
Mario went to Checkpoint City and all I got was this losy t-shirt.
In the first level all the surfaces that wouldn’t get you the coin were gizmos, which are secondary clips to ground/blocks
Ummm, burners? They are a gizmo, right.
@@bungo2514 That's correct, but they are more similar in properties to ground tiles than the others. They can't switch present/absent states, be pushed, carried. Same with the conveyor belt. The ultimate factor is: Is the surface more clipable than the one-way. Ground/similar is more than one-ways, one-ways more than most gizmos.
FROG CEO MAKING AN APPEARANCE
OOOOO OOOOO
Petition for Dave to change the intro to: "...levels that Nintendo didn't intendo"
more like nintended
I agree
Petition granted
Working perfectly as nintended
Yes please
The "is it possible / Un mas" Mashup we didn't know we needed.
7:34 I've had nightmares like this level.
Then I'm really sorry, but you should play less Mario Maker 2. I also get nightmares about Super Mario 64.
6:24 When DGR said that was pretty cool it made me laugh
20:01 he doesnt know what hes doing haha
Sounds like your average dave upload lol
@@DubberRucks yea haha
I love the players who go all-out with their discoveries, showing various terrains and enemies and how they interact with their setups
These Uno Mas levels proves something that's been staring us in the face the whole time. The most jank object is not the launchers.. the most jank object is the "SPIKE HIT BOX"
Facts! 👍
Suddenly Bowser, ground-pounding beside you! /
Don't need no power-up, don't have to pretend! /
Suddenly Bowser, is here to provide you /
With cheap entertainment! Bowser's your friend!
11:42 frog ceo let's go
1. Probably based on mobile v immobile blocks.
2. No idea what happened or what specifically was weird.
3. Possibly a slight variation on your position based on the speed you came off the edge.
4. Frame perfect jumping out of pipes are janky.
5. Ill agree that its probably the combo of the launcher and twister.
6. The thwomp was probably slightly down the hill.
7. No idea with the Yoshi thing.
8. The box becomes the target as opposed to a general swing.
9. Maybe Boom Boom is a fan of Michael Jackson.
10. Title said it all. Janky hitboxes.
11. I've got nothing.
12. Probably more janky hitbox.
13. My drivers ed teacher disagreed with this tactic.
14. I don't get what the strange thing is.
15. Timing + janky hitboxes.
16. I thought those were monte moles this whole time.
17. You probably don't exist to the warp box for a short while after going through a door. Similar to I-frames.
18. Good timing is all that's needed.
19. EVEN MORE janky hitboxes.
20. Bunch of stuff I don't get.
21. What was odd with that one?
22. Lets go with the classic. Janky hit boxes.
23. No clue.
24. Probably similar to the ground pound one.
25. More good timing.
26. This game has some weird rules for position tracking.
27. Clipping through the block probably works like the on/off ejection.
28. I love the vacuum trick. Not quite sure how it works but still fun.
Love the Uno Mas series.
These thumbnails deserve an award or something, the thumbnail alone makes my day 100% better 😂
Yeah Dave really makes funny thumbnails these days
10:00
Well...
That's call Cheese
3:25 thats was hilarious! 🤣 great throwback
My theory why that Thwomp got stuck, is the slope and ground block placement, as slopes, from what I heard, have NEVER functioned properly in a Mario game. Coding slopes into 2D games is harder than most would think. As Nintendo still uses the grid system in every 2D Mario game (even though you can't see the grids ingame), and when you slice a grid block in half to create a slope, you can very easily get glitches with them. For example, with slopes and water, in New Super Mario Bros, there's one area you can use to glitch Mario into sliding backwards up the slope. And if you want a SMM2 example of this slope glitchyness, if you sandwiched Bowser between two slopes (one above him and one for him to stand on) in an earlier version of SMM2, he'll hyperspeed along the slope he's standing on
16:30 DGR this level that you played is my favourite
The buffer jump works because for a split second you can't take damage so of you jump fast enough you won't die.
That possible stamp brought back so many memories!
Uno Mas vids are the best! Keep up the great stuff.
The mad lad is no longer mad just scared
im glad this is a long standing series
15:34 when your IQ test results return negative
6:14 OMFG LOL THE FEESH
I LOVE IT
I don't know if this possible but I want to see a troll level based around Uno Mas
Yes
Yes
Oh the possibilities!
That thumbnail got me thinking about the “jaws of defeat” 😅
I actually am familiar with that extra spring height when bouncing on the spring but also solid ground right next to it. It comes up frequently in the music levels I make. Normally, when an enemy bounces on a music block, it bounces high enough to land on a platform that's 4 squares up. But if I have it walk onto the music block from the side (for the sake of timing a note in a different location, since I can't place two things in the same square), when the front part of the enemy hits the music block, the back part of the enemy is still on solid ground. Like in your video here, the enemy bounces noticeably higher in such a scenario - 5 squares up instead of 4.
And just as an odd music level side note: If two enemies walk off a ledge and each lands on a music block at the *exact* same time, but one of them lands on both the music block and ground (half of the enemy on each of the two things) while the other lands only on a music block (so the other half of that enemy ends up just being over empty space), the one that landed on both will actually play its note slightly earlier than the one that only landed on the music block. So that enemy bounces higher, but also has its note played earlier. Just another strange thing in this game.
Really funny context keep it up!!!
Thank you DGR for playing my uno mas levels, but I have way better uno mas levels. Check those out please!
Especially Wild Wiggler Vine Mine, I just forgot to put Uno Mas in the name.
Ah yes, everyone's favorite creator, Matootie.
(That's Federico, right?)
I'm like 95% sure it is Federico.
I actually made a level like the "more uneven hitboxes" level a month before the one you showcased lol.
3:22 YOOOOO THE THROWBACK
…TaAaAaaake iIiIIt SLOoOoow… I always think of that song when I hear that phrase now…
…ceiling, not roof…
Larry! The non-distinct one!
……3 or 4 pixels is a major boost?……
When he said that about the extra height I thought he was going to say blocks, not, pixels lol
9:19 "go from the right" you mean "from the left", sir
uno mass in the morning yess!
I watched the one before 23:41 in slow Mo, it was great
yup mario's hand hitting p switch
The uno mas videos that I enjoy
The working mice are saying "We can do it, we can do it. We can help our Cinderelly."
3:31 when you mother go and you eat milkshake be-like...
The thumbnail looks like Larry is trying to eat Mario

The 5° Person WOW
I think the setup in New One-Way Pipe Level at 16:30 is the same as the one that Wilfred used in Pickle Troll Level, the part where Wilfred tricks you with supposedly unenterable non-sus pipe, only for you to 'accidentally' go into it while crouch jumping back after activating a switch (as in On/Off Switch Block).
COURSE: What the dump, Dave?
A forever uncleared level.
S56-JP5-BQG
15:25 Mushroom? Sounds more like a note block to me. Literally.
My niece cant speak english but she still likes you^^
Aww!!,
Dafiq
DGR Uno mas videos are the best! Keep up the amazing work
Uno mas is Pog
Dave, you say launchers are the manliest (oh look my spellcheck changed jankiest to manliest, lol I'm leaving it) item in the game... but what about clown cars ? Personally I think they go hand in hand and make great partners.
If only we could put Bill Blasters in clown cars.
Are you kirishima from MHA now
_"I don't understand what I just experienced in this Uno Mas level!"_
Uno Mas levels: *That's.. why I'm here*
In a course that was so improbable the impossible has happened!
"Activate the pow block"
Bowser: NOOO *dies*
Me joining with dgr’s beautiful singing: Freeeee faaaalllingggg!
I choked on my saliva when you died there on 16:14 🤣🤣🤣😅
Uno Mas is the loneliest number
used to watch you. now im back. feels good bro
Same same
The “working” mice made me laugh hard.
That bonk clip brought me back!! Haha
6:28
LOL
I was just watching one of ur vids
24:40 Suddenly I'm having war flashbacks to Carl's evil level!
He's been fished so many times now he dodges them by pure reflex. lol
15:33 I can hear it's one of those music note blocks.
6:36 when you have the guide of critter companionship in Terraria
Mario got chewed on in the thumbnail, XD
The greatest level of all time would combine all these techniques with no hints or checkpoints. You would have to be a master at the game
I love when you say check point city
That continuous stump crusher level had me STUMPED.
You always post when I'm going to have breakfast, so I always have you to start my day. Thanks

I mean, it makes sense. SMM2 levels always go left to right, so the flag should be easier to grab once you've passed it.
Good vid xD
Frog CEO let’s goooo
GOSH LOL THE HITBOXES IN THIS GAME ARE JUST SO GOOFY SOMETIMES LOL
Ok, I’ve clearly missed something, returning back to DGR after a while and boom boom is his archenemy. Where did that start?
In Mario Bros. 3, if you crouch under a block with walls beside it, you'll clip through the walls
One More Uno Mas
*Boom-Boom is a smooth criminal.*
3:32 the nostalgia levels 📈📈
11:23
I'm having Blast Corps flashbacks...
On the stuck thwomp level if you look closely in between the thwomps spikes you can kinda see another thwomp
I love Skipsqueaks lol
Dave: The launcher is the jankiest item in the game.
Clown Car: *am i a joke to you?*
But imagine combining launchers WITH clowncars
What about spike hitboxes though? They're pretty jank too lol it's asking for an uno mas/troll to be built around that... feature
Those were some weird, wacky, and inflatable levels there.
Frog ceo making an appearance in a dgr episode. What is this? a crosover episode?
Coin yank...it all depends on whether what mario is standing on is considered "solid ground" or not...example...launchers can be moved around and destroyed, pow block destroyed, picked up and moved...but something like a conveyor...is in place and stays in place.
I love the one more levels
So that’s what Uno más means
15:40 the tracks right before were lined up so a note blocked was overlapped by a ?block and 1up
15:29 He's bouncing because there's a note block behind the question mark block.
Most clipping/hitbox discrepancies can be summed up as the result of a lack of floating point rounding.
First one has a patern every thing thats movebale wont work but if it cant be moved or piked up it will work. 21:00 ohh the cha-cha slide
the ? block and one 1up had a noteblock behind it. you can hear it in the video 15:36
Is it safe to say Dave hasn't been this confused since his old college days?
