- Had we forgotten about it? Maybe not! In the initial plan, we had not foreseen a kitchen porch due to space issues. But fate had other plans; the elevation of the rear side of our house necessitated a ramp. In the process, we saw an opportunity to add some beauty to the house while solving for functionality by installing two pillars besides the ramp, yielding a porch-like feel.
Follow this story as we show you our kitchen backyard transformation in real-time. This is episode 1.

When building with brick will the temperature stay cool in the house
Absolutely, yes!
Wanjalaz, l have watched this clip closely and without bias to your candid supervision, I noted that your fundis compromised an important item in setting the proper base of your pillars. They didn’t fix the foundation bed in your two pillars. This is an item of concern. However, insignificant a pillar may seem; its foundation bed is of paramount importance. Kindly explain for me!!! Perhaps I am just being too scrupulous for nothing
Not a construction expert myself 😔 unfortunately. But I noticed too late he missed the step. We cannot explain a thing beyond that. My only saving grace is also the type of ground/soil profile that we have built on.
Learning curve for us. Hope nothing goes wrong 🤞🤞
