thank you for this! my only question with ready to ship or stock sets is how we'll know what size(s) to make. i haven't launched yet, but i feel like a lot of people use custom sizing? correct me if i'm wrong. i would love to just have sets ready but am facing this sizing dilemma. any help would be very much appreciated! thank you again for your insightful content
fye zuhh thank you so much for watching babe and when doing stock I would recommend for you to make sizes in XS, S,M,L and then when custom sizes come in you can just make the custom size and not have to worry about regular sizing❤️ I hope this makes sense and helps
@@pressedaholic appreciate your response! you mentioned that you launched 1 ready to ship set in your video. did you make that set in only one size or all of them (xs, s, m, l)?
For my ready to ship I believe it was a size M and I only made 1 to test the water. I’m the further I think I’ll make 3 sizes and see how it does
@fye Zuhh Did you ever figure out this sizing deal? I’m getting ready to start my PON business too but I can’t find anything about sell press on with NO measurements or sizing. I want to sell ready to go nails without the hassle of waiting for measurements and sizes from the customer on their nail bed size. For example: Nail bed size is 9mm for the pinky or 13mm for the Pointer finger.
Just to be clear, I’m not talking about the length of the press on nail. I’m talking about width of the customer nail bed.

I launched my press on nail business last month and omg I feel you about the work load when you have so many orders it’s so overwhelming even tho I get about 10 orders a week it’s still a lot when you hand make everything. I can’t wait to expand because I will not have to focus so much on creating so many nail designs.

I randomly got the urge to start a business on press on last week and ordered like crazy, I sent about $300 and I feel like I need more but for now, since I'm just starting I think I'm good.
I made an IG page aside from my personal and thankful I gained about 40 followers in two days with just two styles I upload a style I made for my brother and one for my bff, I'm honestly so excited but nervous. I'm scared that it won't go well but then again I know it will, and I made my first ORDER yesterday!🙏🏻

A video would be do and dont on press-on nails, I've been struggling with keeping gems glued on as well as them not turning cuz after a day wear they rust or turn black.

Hey thanks for the information. It's true that Facebook groups help alot especially when you are now starting off. I now realize that Facebook for me is now joining groups and sharing ideas inspiration or even giving inspiration. A tip I learned was to put a longer processing time! Put 1-2weeks if you get a lot!

I started out making my own press ons when my nail tech of over 14 years relocated and I spent a year getting really bad sets. Then friends started asking me to make sets for them. Now here I am after a bunch of pushing from those friends and watching all kinds of videos like yours. I'm finally opening up my online store. You are so helpful and just encouraging. I'm just starting out and curious if you have any affordable gel brands that you would recommend? I can't imagine how often I'll need to order gel once I get going if I continue to get these tiny bottles off of Amazon! I'm in Canada so I'm not sure if that makes a difference for recommendations. What i plan to do is make a few of one design in multiple sizes/nail lengths-shapes and when they sell out they sell out. Hopefully it worksout
Your better off going with most common nail shapes instead of multiple or every shape. Coffin long and short and stiletto short and long tend to be most popular and then you can expand your designs

I just had a customer complain her nails were too thick. It’s crazy how you can predict what people want.
I personally think there is no need! A good quality base coat with 2 layers of polish plus a top coat makes the nail hard and thick! I do everything with my nails and they dont break. Even slammed my finger on the door once with them on

Do you suggest putting quantity on the backend side ?so people can't order a bunch off the same style at once so your aren't overwhelmed ? for ex. Say you put you have 2 ballerina pink sets in stock so after those two exact styles are gone it would say sold out for that one ?
Ashante E this is a great question if your buying wholesale and running on stock I would say yes but if your Ming the set yourself I typically don’t track quantity on the backend I just see what I’m running out of and then I’ll put it out of stock manually

I would honestly say to start really small
I would do a few different sets and just do them in 1 size and then see how well it sells that way you know which sets to restock/ make in other sizes

The thing i am finding with nail tabs is you need to go up a size sometimes cuz the tabs make the nailbed larger
Correct! Then they don’t look “natural”. But also, I hate that they start popping off when I wash my hands or use sanitizer. We’re in a pandemic. I have to wash my hands often.

I’m not 100% sure of the question but I’m assuming you mean what’s the most common sizes for press on nails and this question varies because everyone’s audience is different

This was very helpful ! I’m looking to start up very soon and wanted to know if anyone has any advice for how to limit quantities on shopify when selling custom made sets ? Is it possible to limit the quantity by the design and not for each size/shape ? I feel like it’ll become to much if I have 10 small coffin , 10 small Long coffin then 10 medium and so on available for each set, when I really want to limit each design to about 25 max. Help please ! ✨

Omg how could I miss this a week late 😬 but I do have an important question as to selling. Do I need to have some type of permit or lawyer when starting my business or is it free to make a Shopify website without any paper work stating prof I can sell things ?

dont worry about the LLC until you can afford it. It is only like $50. I would suggest reading the book Rich Dad Poor Dad for tips on wealth & legally keeping your money instead of letting them tax it as well. best of luck to you!

I launched almost a month ago and I’ve only received 2 orders. Ive literally cried every night. Done all of this and I personally feel like my work is nice. Ive prepped for this for over a year k a half... any more tips 😟💔 it’s super discouraging.
