*** NOTE : after sending this one out , I DO recommend writing some instructions on the card on how to measure / what to do after they measure. you could also add some instructions to be printed on the card itself while you’re customizing it ❤️ I ALSO wanted to add that the how to make hand made cuticle oils video is coming very soon!!! Ive just been waiting to get some new fun essential oil scents in the mail & I think you guys would lovvvvve if I used them in that video! the video is also going to be very in depth of course as well and I'm going to be showing you guys different options on containers / packaging for your oils as well! I appreciate you guys so much ! thank you for all the love on my past videos 🥰🥺❤️
Val you are amaaaazing !! I just started nails and I have been following you every step of the way. You are a true gem! Some techs try to be stingy and not share but you actually care and take the time to share this info with us! Such a kindred spirit, thank you!
Val, thank you so much for taking the mystery out of this entire process. I love your ability to kindly teach others and your giving and kind heart. I really appreciate you. Thank you again. 💖
hey!! im literally here watching od videos cause i cant get enough of you!! really wish you could make a day in the life/ vlog of your typical day! even if its boring! i would watch it!
This is the first time I’ve actually come across this vlog post. Since you e made this, I’ve seen several other women who’ve made the exact same sizing kit and software “how to start your press on nails business” after yours.
This was very helpful as I had not even thought about logos or anything just yet. I want to be frugal but I also want it to be nice and this video was right on time.
Thank you, great info! I just started a jewelry business. I already have Canva pro & didn't even think about printing my materials on there, but thanks to you, I'll do it on Canva instead of going to a printer.
Hi new subscriber. Love your videos. I was wondering how you make or purchase the display cards that you stick the nails on? Thank you so much. Keep up the beautiful work!😊💗💗
Hey Val, love this video! Do you send out a sizing chart to every customer? Do you charge them for it? Do they order first? Sorry just wanted to ok now the process. Ty
Once you get a customer sizes, how do you go about customization? I tried doing my own press on nails but I would have to cut the sides and file the cuticle area in order for it to fit but it was tedious 😪 .
Omg thank you sooooo much for showing us in depth. Do you charge for these sizing kits? Does the client sends the card back or can they just email you with their size?
No they keep the cards. Once they see what size they are they then go on your website and look to see what size they are (L, M, S) and place their order. They keep these being that they paid for them.
She says that after you've used the kits and you know your sizes. You take a picture and DM her. So that would mean you keep the card, and send her the picture in her messages... How are you confused? I don't know why Kiss is talking about a website - Val doesn't have a website. Lots of artists say buying a sizing kit is a must, and that's the only way they do it. Some may accept other methods, such as the masking tape method or the dime method. That would be up to the individual artist. Hope that helps 😊
What if the client wants a square shaped nails and the way the nail tips are numbered are quite different from the coffin nail tips, do i send another set of sizing kits?
What about if the customer wants a different shape or you use a different brand of nail tip? Do u resend a size kit or do you just use the same sizes no matter what brand or shape of the tips?
omg I love that idea! question : Im thinking about selling custom made to order nails on Instagram but idk how to go about payment? do you have any tips on that. should I ask for a deposit?
Yes, Val - you should do an in depth video on money and payment. A lot of people are confused about it. Especially because this is dont online, so many people do not understand if they still need a business license and or if this is reported as income and you do taxes. So, I think an in depth video on this would be a great idea.
This video is now a few years old, and I am wondering if you are still using these cards or have made changes to them? Is there anything you would change or do differently? Do you have an update yo this, basically?? Thank you 😊
I wonder if there's another way because then you lose those nails, but then again the customer is paying for the kit?... Idk I just started watching you. What would you do for a standard kit. Would you just design all sizes ? Or im guessing you have sample designs and then if the customer wants them they buy the size kit. Im confused . im all ready to make press ons but have no customers so id have to make all sizes i guess in the beginning
I love this thank you so much trying to figure out how much I want to charge for the sizing kit. I'm thinking $10 just to cover for postage and everything I purchased to make the kits. Is that too steep?
I see that this comment is from 2 months ago, but 10$ for a sizing kit is a bit pricey, in my opinion. Just charge the shipping fee which should range around 2-4 dollars.
Why would you only charge for the postage Joy? Your telling someone, that that should lose money, and give away their products and inventory for free. What kind of business advice is that? She has to pay for the cards, the tape, the nail tips, the plastic envelopes, the paper envelopes and then the time to make them. And you feel she should do all of that, and give them away for free...??? You are obviously not an accountant nor have a MBA. There is no guarantee that someone will purchase a set of nails, once they've ordered a sizing kit. You could very easily go bankrupt, doing this... Personally, I would charge $5. for the kits, and they pay for the shipping, what ever the actual cost is, to their home. Your costs are covered, plus you make a dollar or so for your time. Real shipping charges, everyone understands, so customers don't feel ripped off. And this way, you won't give away your inventory for free, end end up bankrupt. Hope this helps 😊
GIRL YOU COULD NOT HAVE UPLOADED THIS AT A BETTER TIME!!! I WAS ABOUT TO CREATE MINE!😍 THANK YOU!!!

You are always helping us out thanks 🙏 💕💕💕
You the real one for this. TFS
So you can use the sizing kit for when you actually send the nails they want off ? Like you them for both
TY for all your wisdom 👍
When sending out a press on set how do you go about the mailing label
If you can do a video that’d be great thank you💗

Thank you!!! People get on here and make videos telling everything but the simplest stuff, I've been wonder forever what size I should use.
Question , does the client tell you the length they want, before you send them a size kit?

How much do you charge if anything for the sizing kit
Is it possible to have a universal nail size?

I charge $6 for my sizing kits and that fee also applies to the fee of their actual press-ons so it's like getting $6 off 😊

How do you know what size the nail is
Do you have a PO Box so people don’t have your actual address when you mail the size kits?
Do you charge for the size kits?
Hey babe how much are your kits ..interested 🥰
Thank you so much!
How much do you pay to ship ?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wait do you sell the kits too??
Yes (:
Where can I order your size kit?
You have to go to her Instagram, and DM her.
So they just keep all the nails not send them back
How do your customers order? A website or DM? Asking In the middle of the video sorry if you already answered in the video
