Phases are used when riders are wanting to get something done, so it is important to understand how they work. Practice each phase, and when ready, add the next but make sure to keep practicing the previous ones. This creates a rhythmic pressure that is gentle but also firm. Always remember to think about what you are doing without getting emotional.
