Except that's not really how it was though. I'm not arguing against Tom here, but a lot of today's drama is people who used to bite their lip and shut up don't do that anymore. Like, some today complain that you can't joke about others no more. You can, it's just a matter of how and when. In the old days people who were the butt of the joke wouldn't say anything because they couldn't or didn't dare to in the same way they do today. Today they feel more empowered to speak up. However. I do agree with Tom on the overly woke people though. A lot don't want the other side to actually change, they'll just call you something else and find something else to complain about. We hate on eachother too much instead of finding out our common grounds and trying to get along despite our differences.

I really get this song and understand the name calling because I have cerebral palsy so I really get it I don't have to tell you the name calling I have been thru. The old days... just depends... Things have gotten better in some aspects and worse in others. Prior to 1804, President and VP were voted for separately. There were several Presidents and VP's prior to that that were of separate parties forcing discussion and debate. The system has slowly gotten to where it has become 2 party, us vs them, who do you hate more vs who do you hate less. Which corporations pay more determines their views more than the wishes of those they are supposed to represent. It wasn't always like this, and that doesn't have much to do with the internet.

Families unit weren't attacked kids were born inside a 2 parent household. Men were actually men women were actually ladies. This country was actually United for the most part.
