I'm sure the security hate when this song comes on
Many such cases
I’ve seen it and the peak of intensity was usually Thieves. At least back in them days
I’m sure there is always a collective “oh shit” from the security guards when they realise it’s time for Break Stuff. Especially at Woodstock 99 when he said “when this song kicks in, I want you to fucking kick in”. It’s just a powder keg waiting to be set alight.
Oh I know they love it😂
lol.. no shit
RIP Jessica Michalik
😢…. She should’ve stayed home
@@davidstephan5116apparently she lost her ticket but found it last moment-heard it of a podscast
I don’t care what anybody says. This dude throws it down

I reckon you'd enjoy this video I made years ago then ;)
I was there as a 17 year old kid. F U C K I N G - M E N T A L!
RIP to the young girl who lost her life during this show.
Yes that’s sad
Meh, these mosh pits are not for girls. She should never have been there.
@@MM-je6wn real cool statement.
@@MM-je6wn toxic
@@MM-je6wn it was the fault of both the organisers (for not putting a T or D barricade in) and also fred durst didnt really stop playing like red hot chilli peppers the year before leading to minutes of time being wasted while people were being crushed up the front. there were plenty of young girls and women there and because she was a girl doesnt mean she couldnt be up the front enjoying the music.
the energy that this song transmits is surreal
it's just one of those days!
absolutely incredible. so much energy from Fred and the crowd
I was born in 04’ and I inherited my dads music taste, he was born in 82’ I wish I was alive to be at these sets man, most of them nowadays don’t compare
Finaly in good quality! Limp Bizkit Poland!
We are together LBF!
No generation rocked out like we the gen x did .it was a great time to be alive.sry to those that missed it
2:59 the energy is insane
🔥
that drop at 3:03 is unreal and as soon after that, the crowd jumps in waves down the concert godamn unbelievable this band
that was the real time and the real crowd. without fuckin' smartphones
Spot on - living for the music and living in the moment! Was there and it was fucking epic! I don’t need no shitty camera footage to remember it!
@@mkel1979but a little historical documentation won’t hurt
@@elijahmgibbsa little won’t hurt, perhaps, but back then you knew this was being filmed for Channel V (music channel) so you could record it at home or always find it here! It made the crowd and the gig that much better without phones, living in the moment!
@@mkel1979 okay maybe for a handful of shows like this, but most shows don’t get any official documentation other than just another show date. For an example of a great documentation of an otherwise undocumented show there’s the Pink Floyd Hamilton 1975 show 8mm footage by Speedy which is just as good if not better than if a channel recorded the show (which they didn’t). It’s film from the crowd that is purely what was played along with an audio matrix of the show that also presented in its most accurate form. Had a news channel recorded it, the mix could have been unauthentic, the band may have played up the event to look good on TV and might even sacrifice some of the show for the sake of the news station. And it’s special for people like me who weren’t born until far after the shows to be able to have a chance to see what it was like to be in the crowd of a show that was important to so many people that I never had the chance to without fans recording them. I do however understand the idea that living in the moment is more important, but it’s my opinion that you can record while paying attention to the show, just press record and look away. That’s what I’ve always done and it has helped me share the concerts I’ve been to with the people that wanted to go but weren’t as fortunate as I.
Holy crap that was way longer than I meant to make it, my apologies.
That crowd is lit. Limp Bizkit pits are dangerous
Yeah. Somebody literally died in the pit during this song.
Especially during songs embracing violence.
@@kaibe5241go comment on many various rap performances. Didn’t someone just die during a Taylor Swift show? Go cry over there bish
Fred is an old man
Limp Bizkit in God mode during this era.
his lyrical control is unmatched especially when matched with such ability to lead a crowd. fred is one of the GOAT's. handsdown
Finalmente, tava procurando esse faz muito tempo
Boa! Compartilha com a galera. Esse vídeo demorou para sair em qualidade 480p.
People can hate on Fred all they want but can their favorite performers energize a crowd into a frenzy like this? lol nah love them or hate em they are one of the best live bands of all time
In Big Day Out from those years the energy was the bad excuse to disrespect people lives by pushing, various performers were aware of that
Big Day Outs were fucking amazing, and yes this night sadly got out of control, but the organisers and security were warned, long hot days in the sun + young dudes plied with alcohol + Limp Bizkit was always gonna equal a testosterone fuelled pit and they learnt nothing from the year before with RHCP crowd crush and their mosh had nothing of the intensity this mosh did! It was horrific Jessica Michalik lost her life this night, but putting that aside, that was one of the craziest most intense and awesome live shows I’ve ever been too, and I’ve been to hundreds!!
Fred Durst is useless. No talent, not smart, zero charisma. Where is he now if he's so great? He was a man acting like a teenager. BORING and TEMPORARY.
Limp bizkit es droga pura. ✊💣💣💣💥💥💥💥💥💥
Someone died in this crowd dipshit. Probably not the clip to make that kind of comment on
What an incredible performance, wow
Kind of a bittersweet video. This is such an astonishing performance and probably the most insane and hyped crowd ever caught on tape but a young girl died during this song.
Wait it was this song?
@@Gabberdude95 she didn’t even die at the show. She died a few days later as a result of injuries sustained at the show
I was there. most pit was actually worse year before when chilli peppers played
@@chrishughes1057 yeah spot on, I was at both shows too and they never learned their lessons from the crush the year before during the Chili Peppers! Security and the organisers were warned and pleaded to employ a D barricade to prevent the crush but they didn’t, and Jessica lost her life and hundreds were crushed. But like all good moshes everyone looked out for everyone around them. This was a fucking epic performance and an insane crowd. My brother was younger and injured so sat in the stands and he said after “that’s the best fucking crowd you’ll ever see anywhere at anything!! 20,000 people jumping as one looked fucking awesome!”
Maybe Jessica should’ve stayed home, or, gone to see Taylor Sw…. Wait, someone just died at one of her shows too😂
This performance of Break Stuff has the best lead up to a drop to any live song ever performed. Even better than RATM Killing In The Name Of 1994 where he’s wearing the striped collar shirt. When Fred tells you to bring the energy you bring all the energy
BY FAR best version of this song.
This is the first time I’ve watched footage from this show. I was Jon Ottos drum tech from 98-04. We were all excited for this tour. And sadly as you know it all ended with this show in Sydney. We literally left the big day out the next day. It was truly heart breaking to everyone in the LB organization. Still incredibly sad to this day.
Fred sang very magical, the drive on his voice and energy on his movements...hot and very rock n roll
The amazing irony of putting a warning on the video because there's a bit of swearing in it.
I’m so glad I was there that night!!!

Damn the mix sounds awesome in this clip!
They lit it up whoooooo
awesome

YEAh LIMPBIZKIT!
The best band in the universe!
Sorry, I'm Russian. I don't understand your language.
I understood.
Damn cool
Stop saying the band were responsible for her death. There was no D barrier. She died for that reason. The hit piece was a video channel V (Australias verson of MTV) put together, as they were close buddies with the festival organizers. It was a hit piece made to stop the festival being sued for not doing their job. They palmed it off to a band that played at their event. You can argue that she would have lived if Fred didnt perform with his band that night, but it's an absolute certainty that she would have lived if the crowd was divided by a D barrier. Which the festival did not provide. I've seen bands ask their audience to make walls of death. I've seen circle pits and jumping and crowd surfing encouraged by many more. Stop blaming the band for doing what they do. Blame the event organizers who did a horrible job then pointed the finger at those who WARNED them this would happen.
Fred didn’t respond to the calls from the guards in front who were saving lifes! he even talked shit to some of them because they told him to stop. i am not saying he or the band is responsible for her death, but they should have acted more mature. very poor crowd control if u ask me.
@@teebruecke7138 who's responsible for crowd control at a gig? It ain't the band mate. I'm not talking about contributing factors, I'm talking about the cause, which was not enough crowd control measures put in place. Example: D barrier. Chilli peppers had to stop playing for 15 minutes during their set. Have you ever seen that before? I haven't. Because it's not normal. Blame falls on festival organizers.
@@52BLUE Leave fanaticism aside. The band is responsible, if Drust had been mature he would have asked the public to make room for the crushed people and it made the job a little easier for the security.Obviously the organization bears most of the blame as well. But Drust is also guilty, he acted with very little maturity and that cost a person his life

One of the best mosh pits I’ve been in and the pingas were even better, aaah they were the days😂
That guitar sound is huge.
More people have died to this song performed than riding on Staten Island Ferries.
Here because of Travis Scott's astroworld incident
Yup same here to prove my point the media is lying. Not 1 heart failure at this massive festival, 1.5 millions ticket sold and no one died of heart failure compared to 8 victims at a 50k Travis Scott astroworld show
Back to 2001 When no one had phones
The best hey! Everyone there for the music, living it and loving it!
I had a phone. Just no camera ;) Nokia 3210. I remember loosing it during kraftwerk at big day out 2003 I think. A girl found it in the huge crowd on the floor. Unbelievable
3:05 people crowd is amazing
I see a very “Driven” guy. And I respect him for it.
1:57 the nefarious and mischievous monkey in response to my thoughtful inquiry as to his business in my home
the crowd knew the drill
That’s our Sydney does it
This concert is remembered for the wrong reasons. It reminds me a lot of what happen to Travis Scott and how the crowd also got too much
No phones just straight moshing those weee days
big day outs changed after this show, and not for the better.
3:49 puke->пук->fart->фарт->luck

I know, it was a joke, consonance
1 rule. If you’re a fragile girl it’s probably best you dont go into a mosh pit. Just common sense
como dizia newton "toda ação gera uma reação" assim como no Woodstock em 1999
Every comment is about how good limp Bizkit and not about how some people almost almost died and Fred just insulted the staff.
@@the_hectorman I cant tell if this is ironic or not lol
milky nos someone actually Really died at this Concert. Jessica Michalik was her name and she was only 16 years old.
A young teenage girl named Jessica Michalik did die at this very show, and the reason Fred was going off was that he had repeatedly asked prior to the show for a different type of barricade to be set up to stop crowd crushes. Sadly his requests fell on deaf ears and Jessica died in said crush. I was there that night and down the front and it was insane. It was a hot, sweaty sea of people crushing each other in Rhyl with the music. It was an amazing concert and a terrible night at the same time! I was a fit 22 year old dude at the time and I struggled at times in that pit. The show was stopped twice to try and help the crowd recover as well. Don’t blame Fred, he was trying his best to do the right thing by everyone.
Dude. Stop. If you lived in Australia you would know that Big Day Out threw limp bizkit under the bus because they didnt want to get sued by the girl's parents. It was their job to provide a safe place for fans to watch bands. No D barrier was the reason she died. Plain and simple.
@@52BLUE honestly they did. Bizkit in the time after this seemed to get all the blame. At the time during their set me and my mates couldn’t really remember anything drastic. Some people needed assistance for the heat but that was par for the course at the BDO. Bizkit did their set finished and none of us in the crowd really even knew anything happened for real

fred was the best ever performer of all time
Lol in ya dreams
when was the song Jessica died?
It was that song when it happened
this one
She didnt die during any song. So collapsed during a crowd crush, due to a heart attack and lost conciousness. No sure which song. Likely during break stuff. She was pulled out, but she was still alive and she was in hospital for 3-4 days before she died.
