  • DID YOU KNOW?....
St. Patrick's Lorica is considered a minor exorcism prayer---that is, an exorcism that can be prayed by the laity.
St. Patrick is also known for teaching the Irish the concept of the Trinity using a three-leafed clover, or shamrock.

    I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
    Through belief in the Threeness,
    Through confession of the Oneness
    of the Creator of creation.
    I arise today
Through the strength of Christ's birth with His baptism,
Through the strength of His crucifixion with His burial,
Through the strength of His resurrection with His ascension,
Through the strength of His descent for the judgment of doom.
    I arise today
Through the strength of the love of cherubim,
    In the obedience of angels,
    In the service of archangels,
In the hope of resurrection to meet with reward,
    In the prayers of patriarchs,
    In the predictions of prophets,
    In the preaching of apostles,
    In the faith of confessors,
In the innocence of holy virgins,
In the deeds of righteous men.
    I arise today, through
    The strength of heaven,
    The light of the sun,
    The radiance of the moon,
    The splendor of fire,
    The speed of lightning,
    The swiftness of wind,
    The depth of the sea,
    The stability of the earth,
    The firmness of rock.
    I arise today, through
    God's strength to pilot me,
    God's might to uphold me,
    God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
    God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
    God's hand to guard me,
    God's shield to protect me,
    God's host to save me
    From snares of devils,
    From temptation of vices,
From everyone who shall wish me ill,
    afar and near.
    I summon today
All these powers between me and those evils,
Against every cruel and merciless power
that may oppose my body and soul,
    Against incantations of false prophets,
    Against black laws of pagandom,
    Against false laws of heretics,
    Against craft of idolatry,
Against spells of witches and smiths and wizards,
    Against every knowledge that corrupts man's body and soul;
    Christ to shield me today
    Against poison, against burning,
    Against drowning, against wounding,
So that there may come to me an abundance of reward.
    Christ with me,
    Christ before me,
    Christ behind me,
    Christ in me,
    Christ beneath me,
    Christ above me,
    Christ on my right,
    Christ on my left,
    Christ when I lie down,
    Christ when I sit down,
    Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
    I arise today
Through a mighty strength, the invocation of the Trinity,
    Through belief in the Threeness,
    Through confession of the Oneness
    of the Creator of creation.

If you have witchcraft over you or suspect it, this is the prayer to break it. Wise up the witches are pouring out their evils every day I many hidden ways. That is what makes them so successful.
Thankyou for this. I think I will be pressed to have this published as the prayer pamphlet, as it is hard to find the prayer booklet, not many supply it due to no demand.

I think that is a great idea. This is my second most popular prayer on my channel---I don't think many know about it and it's power to ward off evil, but once they encounter it, they embrace it. I believe the demand for spiritual warfare prayers is on the rise.

@Ora et Labora Hi. AFTER 5 HOURS OF SEARCHING ON NET AND 4 PHONE CALLS FOR THIS PRAYER BOOKLET. I TRACKED 8 LAST COPIES CLOSE TO ME AND BOUGHT THEM YESTERDAY.
I HAVE AN OLDER SISTER WHO IS A SORCERER WHO THROWS THESE OUT WHEN I buy. She breaks into my car and home via sorcery powers when I'm out or asleep. Christ permits.
      Now I must guard these.

I thought an exorcism meant driving the demonic from someone's body, a means of exERcising the authority of Christ
given to those who are His through salvation. Luke 10:19. If Luke 10:19 is true, and it is, that doesn't exclude the idea
of prayer for clergy and not for laity. Even still how can there be a prayer (major exorcism) a follower of Christ can't say.
I've read the book a few times and there is a distinction in that the corpus is to submit to the elder/priest/presbyter/pastor
within the confines of Scripture but it's a non sequitur that there is even an implication of prohibition against laity crying out
to Heaven with certain words reserved for overseer of the flock.

My understanding of the distinction between major and minor exorcisms is this:
A major exorcism may only be said by a member of the clergy who has been given the faculties to do so by his bishop. A major exorcism is a challenge for direct combat with the demon---a challenge that is inadvisable for the laity to make. As previously noted, a member of the clergy make not even undertake the challenge without the permission of his bishop. A minor exorcism on the other hand, is a petition to God for protection and deliverance from Satan and his forces, rather than a direct challenge to the demon himself. In a minor exorcism, we ask God for protection versus engaging with Satan directly.

It’s more so a matter of safety, as a layperson could be putting themselves in great danger if he/she were to directly challenge a demonic entity. A major exorcism is typically only performed after a rigorous investigation (mostly to distinguish authentic cases of demonic possession from mental illnesses).

@@elasticabanda6473 A rubber band is best used when it is stretched... What you said makes sense to me within the confines of scripture. If I hear, "The Word says thus and such regarding warring against demonic dominion and the Church reminds us, Scripture tells us, that the overseer(general term) have a responsibility to protect those under his watch care." It's a much different view than "thou shall not pass." I had a much senior friend, a bi-vocational pastor, who is now with the Lord. He found himself in an occasional deliverance ministry. In speaking to a few younger but not young men he spoke of some of his hair raising experiences in a way of warning to NOT chase deliverance and I'm confident he asked for the cup to pass from him each time he received a letter or phone call. His background was very conservative and closer to reformed than charismatic. Thank you for your gentle response.

Saint Patrick wrote this for He and He's monks to recite daily as they went outside to do Gods work.
This prayer is most powerful against the continual evil that can be put on us by those whom identity to witchcraft as we go about our days in the world. It is most effective to undo any evil identified on the person by the person and much more simply to recite than a long deliverance prayer.
This is not an official church deliverance prayer.

Demons are merely angels. Fallen ones. The angels were created within a hierarchy and are bound to follow the line of authority. For solemn exorcism, Priests are given this authority by virtue of their ordination. But they can only perform the Rite of Exorcism with express permission, or "faculties" granted by the Bishop in that area. Laity or any priest anywhere may pray binding prayers over those whom they have authority via the natural law, ie., parents of minors can bind demons by their authority. We have authority over ourselves, husbands over their wives. Otherwise, we must ask our Lord to bind and get rid of demons. Back to the importance of the authority structure.
Since demons, fallen angels must follow the same authority God placed all angels under, they don't have to respond to demands of those not in authority, who presume to bind them and command them to begone. Ask any exorcist and their experience reflects this. They must get faculties, (permission) from the local Bishop. You can get taken to the woodshed by using the Priests' prayers or by commanding demons to be gone from someone you don't have authority over according to the natural law. Ot can wreak extreme havoc over your family and life. And it can last years. They attack every attempt to command them, although they may hide it for any length of time so you're off guard. This is a science, albeit a simple one. The Priests' prayers are said only by those with a "blanket" authority, over any person. The specific Rite of Exorcism prayers done for Solemn Exorcism can only be used when given faculties by the Bishop. The backlash received over years comes from personal experience of overstepping my bounds and authority while praying over people "casting out demons". Hope this helps. This is all from exorcists l've read and listened to.
