That tip about the pick for removing the A-pillar is exactly why I watch your videos! Another great job showing the installation of a dash cam.

Thanks for the how to video. Today i sucessfully installed a dashcam in my 2024 F150 took me a little over an hour to install. Originally I was going to use fuse taps but after watching your video I did it as per your video. Only thing I did different was add 2A fuses to the dascam cables. Dashcam works great and looks professionally done. Thanks again for your DIY video.

The unit we used already had fuses inline. 🙂 but if doing a viofo you will definitely need to add fuses

I use to use Weller or a cordless butane soldering iron. But i built a custom soldering iron that works off my milwaukee drill 18v batteries

I just checked to see if the fuse panel is the same for the 2024 Super Duty, and it sure is. That sucks.
    Thanks for the video, Ben.

Great video thanks. On the 2024 installation it looked like the gray wire was constant power and the red with brown tracer was the accessories wire, is that correct?

Power @ Passenger kick fuse box BROWN/RED
Ground @ Passenger kick Chassis bolt

I think electrical tape is sketchy, but hey it works I suppose. That is just a water resistant fuse box so my thought is the Fuse taps would be less destructive and less trouble at the dealership...or better yet do it in the main fuse box under the hood.

We use the $10 rolls of electrical tape 3M Super 33. Not the 99 cents special. Also going under the hood is a very bad idea. Many technicians do this and take a sealed electrical box and usually drill a hole or file a hole and what is suppose to be a place where no water gets in and I have seen some disasters. Everyone has their way to do it. Do what works for you.
