the song is "Tarantella (Oi mamma ca mò vene)" by Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare. You can find the lyrics online. Sorry, but I can't help translating.
wow! in my a-level performing arts class we might be doing A Doll's House and if we do it we're going to see if we do the tarantella! just looked it up now and it looks so fun to do, and it'd be a challenge! wow :)
Actually watching this because it was popular in Norway in the 19th Century! Currently reading A Dolls House by Henrik Ibsen, where the main character dances the tarantella. Never heard of it before, but I understand why she was dancing it! It seemed so random but the fact it was danced as some form of exorcism has totally helped me with my essay! Thank you @saltadoros08 !
I'm a Hetalia fan too, but I don't get why/how you guys where brought here by the series o_o" Perhaps because I'm of Italian descent and I've known this dance since childhood... /sorry for the bad English
@xXLunarEclipse896Xx There's the 'catch 22'. For Hetalia to become more successful and Hidekaz to get more money, he needs more fans. And that strips Hetalia of its indie series status. Now a Hetalia fanart is always in the most popular on deviantART and the fandom is full of hipsters. The release of the English dub didn't make things any better. My comment wasn't fangirling; it was a way to mourn Hetalia's fandom's glory days and the respect of anything related to this series.
yes of course! there are many types of tarantella in italy! there is the sicilian one, the calabrian and the most famous in naples. But there are a lot of typical dances in italy. And tarantella is popular in the south, but in the north, this is totally unknow! other types of dances are: spallata, pizzica and other
i don't know what all the lyrics are...but the word "tarantella" means torantulla, like the spider. I do however, know what the meaning of the song is: pretty much its about a guy killing someone. I know, its not really the image you get when you first hear the music... hope this helped ^^
@elsaphir Peppe Barra, Concetta Barra (Peppe's mother), Eugenio Bennato, Teresa De Sio: Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare - Napoli ("N.C.C.P."), with great master Roberto De Simone: really, the best in world folk music (old classic neapolitan Lyrics u can easyly found in the web, many in youtube)
Io sono Greco...I'm planning a 3-month trip in traditional Italy.I need to know where Tarantella is danced so i can visit! Also small traditional villages are in my target group,so any suggestions would be most welcome! Efxaristo! :)
ma queste sono americane? brave comunque. per gli appassionati del genere cercate beppe barra, è il suo stile but are these american people? they are good anyway. for the lovers of the gender look for beppe barra, it's his style
ciao. complimenti per lo spettacolo!!! ti invito a guardare i miei video. se hai occasine di proporci alla festa di italoamericani, saremmo felicissimi di parteciparvi. ciao e complimanti ancora.
This is how the song should always be played... for Pete's sake, the song is about a man who is dancing the spider venom out of his body. Not a nice 'hidey-do' dance, but passionate and fast paced.
Oh , I can most definitely imagine Chibimano dancing to this with his Boss Spain so his chorea would be cured XD But this dance is really good , I 'd want to learn it c:

Comme toutes les danses italiennes, dynamiques, sautillantes, souples et gaies. Merci et bravo

@KOLobsessed I don't think it's a popular play to study, but it's short and I needed a literary work to be able to reference in an AP literature exam.
Italian American Festival with one very old Albanian Song !!!
I typed in The Tarantella Dance cause I wanted to see it, but I always thought it was a Russian Dance, oh well live and learn I guess!
