Good evening Alan. Normal service has resumed. And yours is the first video I'm watching. What a beaut it is too. Shorts!!!!! Shorts you say 😱😱😱😱you're the man who says he's a fair weather walker and you're wearing Shorts a month after me 🤣🤣🤣. You're a machine lad. Bloody machine. Ah Alan this is just what I needed to keep my spirits up and my mind focused on getting out ASAP. As you can imagine I'm eager to get out with you as soon as I can. Thanks for the mention. Much appreciated. Absolutely stunning day you had there mind. So much to see. Those mountains you captured beautifully 😍. You're doing some miles. Putting me to shame I have to say I hope I can keep up. The light shining on the mountains is truly incredible. So happy you got down unscathed that is one sketchy descent. Haha have you ever seen a northumbrian lass descend on her backside.....I'm a pro at that, or downing my poles and refusing to move 🤣🤣🤣. I feel there's a challenge coming when I go hiking with you.....so I'll be ready and looking forward to it 😉. Absolutely loved scenery and chat on this video. You never disappoint 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Good to see you are back and powered up, just watching the local news from Whooler and cannot believe that half the village still has no power 4 days after the storm. It was a great days hiking and the weather was insane, the decent was awful but typical me, do all the hard work, getting down without a scratch and then fall into a muddy bog as soon as I get back down to flat ground. Weather changing now mind, wet, cold and muddy is not fun, bring back the sun! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Thanks for the visit and thank you very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, real nice of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Gorgeous scenery and beautiful light on this one, Alan! The landscape is unreal - it's like straight out of a movie! Impressive mileage! 🙌 Thanks so much for taking us along. Have a wonderful day!
Thanks very much, real nice of you to stop by and leave a comment. The weather for the time of year was amazing but back to snow and ice here now. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
I was blessed with the weather and the views on this one, funny enough, I am looking outside now to snow and ice and and -4C (24F) temps so a big change in the weather. Thanks so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Wow what a day you had for this hike!😎👍. The lake district fells look just stunning in the sunshine, a perfect winter walking day, well apart from the slip, but happens to us all! I (Shell) always go on my bottom to get down slippery steep rocky sections, better to be safe than sorry! Some serious effort gone into this hike, thank you for taking us along Alan, take care, Shell and Pete
Thanks for watching and yes, apart from that fall, a real good days hiking and for November, you could not wish for better weather - it was amazing, cheers Alan
Fantastic Alan. Really enjoyed this one. Stunning scenery and what looked like a beautiful day. Great share mate. 👏🏻👏🏻. Keep wandering. 🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️. Watto.
Thank you very much, always nice when you visit and I was so happy on this hike, right up till the end, when I fell into a wet and muddy bog lol. Still, nothing could spoil a good days hiking, cheers Alan
I enjoyed watching your video till the end. I like the magnificent nature and terrain of your hiking routes. The views of the Lake are so amazing.👍Thank you so much for your sharing. Your YT friend in Toronto with full support. Have a great day 😊
High Raise my hat to you Sergeant Metalman. Great video of the waterfall and Easedale Tarn looking stunning in the autumn sunshine. The views along the tops looked pretty amazing too. The way down looked a bit precarious to say the least. Good job you got back before dark. Could you imagine coming down there in the dark. Yikes! Good luck and have a great weekend. David
Haha, nice one and to be honest, it was a mare coming down that way, I should have got down the way I came up, lesson learned there alright. Amazing weather for November, shame it did not last! Thanks very much for watching David, cheers Alan
Greetings from us dear friend. You had a beautiful sunny day for hiking, beautiful scenery. 😊 The view of the lake and the mountains behind you is extremely beautiful. And the view from the sunny top is amazing.👍
Thanks for visiting, really appreciate you watching and a real good days hiking, well, until I fell but that is all part of a days hiking lol. Take care, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, another top video, really enjoyed it. Fantastic weather for you which gave stunning views and not an easy walk when you consider you are against the clock with it getting dark so early, great job. Always love watching your walks and you always make us chuckle a bit with your comedy. Keep it up mate.
Thanks so much for watching Steve and a bit of a change in the weather today mind. I was so lucky with the weather then, I kept pinching myself that it was mid November, what a brilliant days hiking it was, cheers Alan
Oh my goodness, that scenery and the sunshine backdrop - meeting up with the waterfall - just simply beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing this stunning hiking trail!
Mid November and I was in shorts and a T Shirt, the weather was crazy but I was not complaining lol. Thank you very much for watching, appreciate it, cheers Alan
Glad you enjoyed it Del, pleased it brought back good memories for you and real nice that you have watched, I always appreciate it. A real good days hiking, well, that was right up till the end, when I fell into a wet and muddy bog lol. Still, nothing could spoil a good days hiking, cheers Alan
Wonderful views once again Alan, like 94 with a full view as always - we get to see all this spectacular part of the UK without all the hard work watching your channel
As you said at the beginning - it's very clear to me that you put your very best into the videos and it does show. That was a beautiful waterfall. Always good when you can shed the heavy coat. What views! Oh no, the man goes down in the mud!
Yep, I came down an awful steep, wet and very rocky decent without a scratch, then as soon as I got back to flat ground, I fell into a wet and very muddy bog lol! Thanks very much for stopping by Randy and enjoy the weekend, cheers Alan
Good afternoon Alan, and what a treat on this wet and windy weekend! This one is one our list, we have only ever admired Sour Milk Gil from affar, really great to see it in full force and beauty up close! ❤ Shame Emz couldn't make it, look forward to you too hitting the hills ⛰ knees normally have the opposite affect on people, not sure why the dog was lured lol! Meat pate? 🤔 🍖 Beautiful day for it Alan, smashing footage as always, colours really popping 😀 👌 🌞 What fantastic weather you had too, wow! Beautiful photos in the mix too 📸 😍 Wondered where the bog was going to creep up on you 🤔 🤣 😳 nothing wrong would a good faff Alan, what it's all about....just pack a head torch 🔦 🤗 Good bit of slouging, can't be helped some days! Looked like a trick climb down, well played making it in good time and safely 👍 Trev did a couple of hikes.....but he is a gluten for punishment lol sure there has been more too 😄 Lovely family memories Alan, well played, out next video ends in a similar fashion! Have a great evening, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺🧭
Thanks very much for watching guys and I could not believe that in mid November I would be at 2.5 K and in shorts and a T Shirt, the weather was unreal. Yes, shame Emma got a last minute call to work but we will get out at some point, take care, cheers Alan
What a start! The river behind you, the sun, and the waterfall. WOW! That lake setting in the mountains was like a scene from a movie. It was a clear, beautiful day with crazy nice views. You are lucky to have tshirt weather. I don't think I will have any more of those kinda days for a while now. Very glad you made it down safely. Slippery wet rocks = no bueno! 10.62 miles you are crushing it! What a great day in the UK mountains! ~RVA~
We got snow and ice today lol but I made the most of that day, which was 3 weeks ago now and apart from the fall I had at the end, a perfect days hiking. Thanks so much for stopping by, always appreciate it, cheers Alan
Thanks very much, appreciate you stopping by and the weather for the time of the year was insane, sometimes we do not days like that in the summer lol! Cheers Alan
The weather was insane but back to normality today with snow and ice outside. Thanks for watching, real good of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
I’m so envious of you atm, I’m stuck not being able to get out due to work everyday and your in the most gorgeous places living your best life! 😃 simply stunning! I miss the lakes 🙈🙈🙈🙈
Soon be Christmas and to be honest, I have not been for almost 3 weeks myself, so we are both missing it. I hope your panto season goes well! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Class Alan mate, sour milk ghyll looked absolutely awesome 👌 The views over to windermere and down onto the two tarns were tremendous, you got well lucky with the weather bud 😎 Good stuff marra, all the best Chris 👍
I could not believe in was mid November, the weather was insane, not complaining mind, perfect day to be out hiking. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Beautiful part of the world! Those uphill climbs will get you heated up , no matter how cold it is! I hope you made it home without being pulled over by the police! Enjoyed your hike! Thanks for sharing!
Thankfully, I did lol. A real nice day and the weather, for the time of the year was insane but I sure was not complaining. Thank you so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
Lovely day Alan! Beautiful views all around, too bad the days are so much shorter now! I could feel the chill as the sun was going down. Too bad it was slippery and sketchy on those rocks going down. I would love to go hiking with you if we ever get over to the UK! 👍☀️☀️
What incredible light you had to start. That first waterfall was so cool. The view fro. The top was epic and such a blue sky!! Incredible weather too! Loved it 🍻
Thank you so much, appreciate you watching and the weather was insane, could not believe it was mid November. I need more days like this in my life lol, cheers Alan
Alan what amazing views. Must be an awesome experience.. All God's beautiful creations. Thanks for an amazing take along. God bless 🙏 stay safe hugs ❤️. Merry Christmas 🎄 had to share this hope others see the beauty you did.
Thanks so much for stopping by Susan, real kind of you and very much appreciated. I was blessed with a stunning day, especially for mid November, the weather soon changed to it's normal winter weather mind. Cheers Alan
Autumn makes everything look better especially with perfect light and conditions like that. As someone who has slipped over many times and gotten very muddy I also try and avoid steep descents when its been wet. Thanks for sharing another excellent video cheers from barnyz 👍👍👍
I totally agree and was kicking myself on the way down, as I knew it was going to be tough. I did not expect a lot of the rock on the way down to be covered with water, which made it lethal. Just when I though I was down okay, I slipped into a muddy bog, typical lol! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
I wish I had had my partner with me, could have used an extra pair of hands when I fell lol. Still, a sure cool day out and I had a load of fun. Thanks so much for watching, cheers Alan
Thanks very much for watching and I was a massive high all day, well, right up till the end, when I fell into a wet and muddy bog lol. Still, nothing could spoil a good days hiking, cheers Alan
Another great video and walk Alan. I did this one last summer but included Tarn Crag too. It was when the weather was swelteringly hot. I had absolutely no energy and my legs were like lead when I got back to Grasmere! Probably the only time you will ever hear me ever saying it was “too hot”! Still remember driving back to my digs in Keswick in the evening and the temperature in my car was still in the 30s!!
Those hot summer days seem long gone now Alan, we got ice and snow outside today but a real nice walk, right up till I fell but one of the hazards of hill walking lol. Good of you to watch, cheers Alan
Mate, once again (and as I usually say), you brought some fantastic weather and stunning views / visibility again. This is definitely the best time of year to be out on the fells in my opinion - a great day out pal. Keep up the great work - ATB, Chris
Glad you enjoyed it Chris and the views and the weather were both amazing, shame I had to spoil it at the end when I fell in that muddy bog but these things happen. Good of you to watch, cheers Alan
Thanks very much for stopping by Jason and I hit on lucky with an amazing days hiking great views and some insane weather, take care buddy, cheers Alan
Thank you, I appreciate that! Apart from the fall I took at the end, if was a brilliant days hiking, really enjoyed it. Good of you to stop by, cheers Alan
That was a great video and I enjoyed watching, Alan. The sun shining, the beautiful views and the chat was all wonderful. Thanks for taking us along. Take care and God bless.
Thank you so much for stopping by and such a nice comment, something I value! Normally in November we had frost and snow (which we have now) , so amazing I was hiking in shorts and a T Shirt, the weather was insane. Take care, cheers Alan
Awesome hike Alan. Too bad your meetup didn't work out. Still a great hike even with the slick treacherous decent. Got a little wet and muddy there. I had that happen to me before also. Driving home in my undies! LOL. Long day. Well done. Take care and have a great day.
Funny enough I got down the real steep, rocky and soaking wet decent and as soon as I hit the flat ground I fell, could not believe it lol! Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
I really appreciate the values you share. Traveling also implies this, having experiences as well as moving from one place to another, and you are able to transmit it very well. Great as always, Alan😊 Greetings, Patrizia🌻👍
Thankfully it was but the funny thing was I managed to get the real steep, slippery and rocky decent and as soon as I was back on the flat, I fell lol. Thank you for stopping by, cheers Alan
Yes, me too, I was worried coming down at the path was swimming with water on top of wet rock and typically, just as I got down on the flat, I fell down in a bog lol. Thank you for watching Nicole, it really is appreciated, cheers Alan
It was awful Tony, very steep and mostly rock, which was swimming, so not pleasant at all to be honest. Pleased I got down in one piece but them typical of me, I fell into a bog on 'flat' ground! Thanks for watching buddy, cheers Alan
You had some grand weather there on your hike Alan, I've never seen Sour Milk Gill look so spectacular! I usually do the same fells but start in Borrowdale, either way, it's Lakeland at its best.👍👍👍
Thanks for watching Anthony, which reminds me, I started watching your wildcamp buy got a call half way through from my mother and never finished it, I must go back and watch it again. The weather for mid November was insane, kept having to pinch myself it was so warm, cheers Alan
Yes, thank you both well, although we were out with our daughter on Saturday, who has just tested positive for Covid, so hoping we are in the clear. Bit of a change in the weather since I was out on this hike mind - bring back the sunshine lol! Thanks for watching and take care, cheers Alan
Well done Alan....think wants you hit November you have to accept conditions under foot change dramatically ..I had similar conditions coming down of rannerdale Knott's couple of weeks back lethal underfoot ...we all have falls and pleased your in hurt and ready to go again ,💪
Mostly rock going down that route and it was swimming with water, so a mare to get down. Funny thing was I managed to get the real steep, slippery and rocky decent and as soon as I was back on the flat, I fell lol. Thank you for stopping by, cheers Alan
Morning alan, watched this with hubby last night,im in bed with worse cold ever had, loved the waterfall, its sods law you got down that slippery part, only to relax then fall on your bum.loved the app ,think i got fitbit,i really need to start useing it.loved this, back to bed @stay safe debs x
Sorry to hear that Debbie and we both had the worse colds we have ever had when we came back from Scotland in September. Mrs Metalman is never off her feet but was totally wiped out for almost 2 weeks, then I got the same cold was was in bed for 5 days. I hope you feel better soon, so stop in bed and keep warm. Thanks so much for watching, take care, cheers Alan
Putting me to shame Alan with more lovely Lake District walks, mind you I'll never forget coming down that path at the end following my wild camp at Codale tarn 😯 Keep up the good work ATB 👍
The paths, which were mainly rock were swimming in water, so a nightmare to get down safely. Typical of me mind, just as I did eventually get down and back onto flat ground I bloody fell lol! Thanks for watching Phil, cheers Alan
Sour Milk Gill is amazing. Have only been there once. I want to go there again as there are a few WW i haven't done. Would be nice to camp at easdale tarn. Nice video as always. Stunning views. Good camera work. Oh I love High Rise. Would love to camp there next summer.
Well I hope you do Linda, as I agree, the views from High Raise were stunning and plenty of flat ground to camp too. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Haha, I sure did and in that order too lol. Unbelievable weather for the time of year but changed a bit now mind. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Great Video Alan, Sour Milk Gill looked amazing as did Easedale Tarn. You had some good weather mate and thanks for sharing those views. You did make me laugh as well, but on serious note... coming down from High Tove in September I slipped on wet rock and did my back in. Had to go home a day early and was laid up for two weeks, so total empathy from me on your careful descent mate, it can be really dangerous. Alan I will always go walking again with you mate, I think I can recall at least 3 past adventures, but not if I have to get in your motor looking at the old chap 🤣 Hope you got the mud out of your Camo's. See you out there. Graham
Haha, yes, thankfully I found a blanket in the boot which covered my car seat, so I did not have to but Plan A into operation lol. I hope the back is on the mean, the rock on the way dawn was swimming with running water and awful to try and get down safely, especially with nobody else around either. Thanks very much for watching Graham, cheers Alan
The first. Merry Christmas to you Alan and your beautiful Family. It is definitely a great honor to have you as a friend. Your videos are super amazing. Hugs brother from Las Vegas NV.
Well done Alan, that was awesome. I knew from the title it was a big one and then when you were looking at Stickle Tarn you had so far to go. Respect for getting down in those tricky conditions and showing your wounds. I hope when we come back in May that you will join us again, maybe the first repeat collaboration!? Regards, Ashley and Andrea
haha, yes, no problem with that and fingers crossed we get your normal Eddie Caisley weather for that one mind and not the mist and high winds lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
I sure was blessed on this hike, the weather was unreal for mid November. It has turned back to normal now mind lol. Real nice of you to stop by and comment cheers Alan
Really beautiful waterfall in the beginning! If you don't feel comfortable going downhill sliding on your but it's probably the best bet. Unfortunately you got wet doing it and I can only imagine you getting pulled over by the cops with no pants on 🤣🤣🤣. I've seen you hike with Kathy Fox 2 times! She's a brave one lol. Another nice video my friend thank you for sharing.
You are right Eric but I actually filmed this 2 days before I did my second hike with Katy but put that video out first. It was a mare going down that way, the rock was swimming with water but thankfully, I got down in one piece. Funny enough, it was then, when I was back on the flat ground that I actually fell lol. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan
An understatement Des, it was lethal, the rock was swimming with water, still don't know how I got down in one piece. Typically mind, as soon as I was on flat ground I fell - such is life! Thanks for watching bud, cheers Alan
Such a beautiful hike. Great start of the journey. I couldn't imagine seeing the police pull you over without ur kegs😂😂😂. I've been there before, Almost back to the truck, and lost my footing and got all muddy. You did cut that one close. It was very dark when the lights went out. Over here it gets dark at 1700 so the outing trips are getting shorter for now. Cheers, Shu
Thanks so much for stopping by Shu and thankfully, when I got back to the car I found a blanket in the boot, which I covered the car seat with, so Plan A did not have to happen lol! Take care buddy, cheers Alan
That's some stunning views 🤩 You are some damn lucky with that weather too! Canny impressive compared to the last week. Hope you and Mrs Metalman are keeping well ☺️
We are, thank you and this was 3 weeks ago now but still for November insane weather, shame it had to end lol. A really enjoyable day but typical of me, I got down an horrendous descent unscathed and as soon as I got down on flat ground, I fell into a muddy bog! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Great video Alan. It’s not a walk I’ve done, except just up to Easedale Tarn so next time I’ll carry on up to High Raise. Definitely a full day out by the look of it and the views certainly make it more worth while! Cheers, Matt
I really enjoyed it Matt, in fact too much, as it took me so long to get up there, as I was stopping all the time, just enjoying the day. So many options from Easedale Tarn and all of them good. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Beautiful walk Alan and some amazing scenery. Outstanding filming and I have to say your presentational skills have come on somewhat since our walk up Helvellyn. Not to say they were bad then, but now your the total consummate professional. Five Star Film ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ PS always pack a spare pair of boxers when out in the hills.
Thanks Mike and what a brilliant day that was, unbelievable weather and also unbelievable I fell on the flat and had to fall in the one bit of very wet and boggy ground that was around me at the time! Still, did not spoil the day and luckily I had a blanket in the boot which I used to cover the car seat on the way home - I was covered! Good of you to watch and I hope things are going well for you down where you are. Take care buddy, cheers Alan
Fantastic videos buddy, very inspirational. I’m starting the Wainwright’s next weekend and you have provided an excellent insight into them, thanks and all the best pal.
Oh nice one and I hope you do them all! Real nice to hear you have been watching and getting some help in your preparation, fingers crossed you get the same great weather I got for this one too. Cheers Alan
hi Alan good mileage this time of year and all part of the adventure having a fall, cracking scenery again from the lakes, i should be up there before the end of the year, anyways have a great week nigel
I hope you get the same weather I got Nigel, unbelievable for the time of year, bit of a change today mind. Still, fingers crossed for you and thanks for watching, cheers Alan
Stunning mate, great video! Thanks for sharing the route on the map, love it. Ive mapped the route. Amazing video and as always down to earth commentary that everyone loves. Well done bud!
Thank you very much, nice of you to watch as well. It's a great route but once on the ridge the path is a bit him and miss, so just as well I had OS maps on my phone as well as the map version. Cheers Alan
Superb Alan the quality of the footage was outstanding, a perfect day to be in the hills . Slips and trips happen thankfully only a wet arse and covered in mud lol Tfs atb Dave
Haha, yes, that's all it was and a massive dent to my pride but would have been worse if is was coming down that wet rock, it was swimming all the way down, I was really bricking it and so pleased when I hit (literally) the flat ground. Thanks for watching Dave, cheers Alan
Sorry that Emma couldn't make it, and the dog story was wild! The views were spectacular. What a day! Oh man, that was steep and wet going down. LOL, now we need to know if you made it home without getting pulled over by the police (sans shorts). That was a long day, wow! Enjoyed ever bit of the hike with you (I'd do it again!).
Haha, thankfully no lol! Normally in November we had frost and snow (which we have now) , so amazing I was hiking in shorts and a T Shirt, the weather was insane, so I made the most of it and apart from the fall at the end, had a brilliant day. Real nice of you to stop by, appreciate it. Take care, cheers Alan
What a stunning day, I just love high raise as its one of my goto places from Pooley, now what I wanna know did you drive home without ya pants on ? 😆 🤣 Fantastic video Alan and I will look forward to the next one. All the best Marc.
Thankfully, I had a blanket in the boot, which I used to cover my driving seat, so not worried about being pulled over lol! First visit to High Raise for me but what a 360 from there, amazing views and such a brilliant days hiking. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN what i love about high raise is you can see all the main mountains on a clear day, even see Scafell, Great gable and a stunning view of sharpe edge on Helvellyn and then looking the other way Morecambe Bay. Stunning just stunning.
Glad you enjoyed it and real nice of you to stop by. That was filmed in mid November and at one point I was down to shorts and a T Shirt - crazy weather, cheers Alan
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, real nice of you and very much appreciated, cheers and a Happy New Year to you both, Alan
Great hike Alan. It looked like the perfect day for doing this hike. Glad you made it back down in one piece and only a muddy leg. I bet you sleep good that night.
That was typical of me, getting down a nightmare decent unscathed and as soon as I was on the flat, fell over in a muddy bog lol! Thanks very much for watching Lance, cheers Alan
Happy to see you had perfect walking weather for this one, thats a hike I need to do(done High-raise and Sergeant-man, Stickle tarn from the opposite direction starting at Rosthwaite , roughly the same distance give or take a mile) looked a good one Alan, will take your advice and avoid that descent in wet conditions. Did you end up driving home in your 'kegs' lol.............ATB.........Stu/Wendy......👌👍..........PS glad those boots worked out for you....hello to the Mrs...😊
Haha, thankfully I found a blanket in the boot, which I put over the car seat so I did not have to activate my A Plan lol. Bit of a change in the weather last few days mind, I preferred the sun! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Hey Alan💜your videos are awesome I tried using that but me a coffee app, didn’t work for me Look at that golden sunrise to start your days journey, gorgeous waterways and falls, just stellar views!! I appreciate you too💜cheers
Yes, it was not very user friendly I have to admit but got there in the end - just! I was blessed with the weather and views on this one but we got snow and ice now and and -4C (24F) temps so a big change in the weather. Thank you for stopping by, cheers Alan
Another great vid mate, I did the same route up the side of Sourmilk Gill when we did Jacks take upto the summit of Pavey Ark…. It’s a stiff climb up the side of the Gill. We was supposed to carry on and pick up the Sergeant but our legs were done after the rake so called it a day Great watch mate, I’ll defo be working my way through all your vids Big love team 54 🥾🏔❤️
Thanks for watching and hard to believe this was middle of November, the weather was unreal. Never done Jacks Rake before, always wanted too but maybe a bit passed it now lol, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN there’s no way that your passed it now, I would suggest waiting for the better weather but I’d do it with you if you wanted to give it a go 🥾🏔❤️
Wow, awesome video, we did these today on a YT collab with another wonderful Alan, unfortunately not the Metalman but the one from 54° degrees north, in our opinion the views from high raise are the best in lakeland. From there you can see all the main wainwrights in their best glory! ♥️
Oh brilliant, great lad Alan and real pleased you had such awesome weather to do them in too. Really looking forward to the video and as I remember it was November I did this walk and was down to a T Shirt and shorts the weather was so nice - shame a slipped and fell into a bog at the end😳. Cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN wouldn’t like to do it in the rain Alan, definitely a summers day walk! Like you say, its bad enough in the summer! Definitely very boggy, but we all kept our pants on!
Nippy and wearing shorts... Writing this as we go, but my money's on you needing to wade in some water. ... ahh, guess not. Interesting dog story. Had to play it twice... must be some kind of British humour, went right over our heads. None of us could figure it. Some lovely views up in your fells. totally feel you on the t-shirt in November. I've had to strip down to a t-shirt at 0C on some of the tougher hikes we've done. I will pack layers, but don't usually get on much more than a sweatshirt even at -10C, if I'm moving. Need a jacket if we stop. Do you pack a headlamp incase you get caught out in the dark? It gets dark at half past 4 here as well this time of year, be closer to 4 in a couple more weeks. Nice muddy legs. I always feel like coming home dirty means the day was better than coming home mostly clean. Always appreciate the after hike bath just a bit more then as well.
Haha, yes, throwing a ball is the obvious but it can also mean 'throwing a very posh party, where people get dressed up in their best clothes and finery' lol. The one thing I did not have (but do now) in my pack was a head torch, so real lucky I was real familiar with the trail back to the car, as it was pitch black when I did get there. We got snow and ice outside today and -4C (24F) temps so a big change in the weather. Thanks very much for watching guys, cheers Alan
Great post Alan, just discovered this channel so look forward to reviewing your walks, grand part of the world we love the Lakes. all best and thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, real good of you and very much appreciated. That was a cracking hike and unbelievable weather for mind November. I wet and muddy end to it mind but I still enjoyed it. Have a very Happy New Year, take care, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN That path up to Skiddaw is deceptively long, grand views when you get up there, choppy if you get a windy day (I know Im posting this on the wrong clip!) Happy New Year to you too mate and thanks for the reply. All best.
Yes it was, could not believe it was mid November, it was a better day that some I had out in the summer lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Alan you made my night ! I love waterfalls and this was so good. Enjoyed your banter and have subscribed as I want to see more ! New friends here from North Wales . See you soon, Anna & Alf
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for watching. Only been to North Wales once, when we climbed Snowdon about 5 years ago but really enjoyed it, so need to go back. Cheers Alan
Haha, you may be right Max and it sure was a challenge to get back down before darkness fell I can tell you. Great day out mind (apart from the fall) and I really appreciate you stopping by, cheers Alan
You know you're off to a great start with a set of falls like that! Yeah, that does look like it would be a hard path to follow - nothing really defined is there. Got to hate those short winter days - it gets challenging when it starts getting dark around 4pm. I'd like to be a fly on the wall when the cops come to pull you over without any pants!
Haha, yes and thankfully I found a blanket in the boot of my car, which I used in the car seat, so I did not have to activate Plan A lol! Thank you so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
A good start to the hike with a beautiful waterfall. That is what I like. I think you are like me, you go down the steep slippery sections without a problem and then you get to the flat section and you bite it on your ass. Lol.
Could not believe it, so steep and slippery on the way down and not an issue, as soon as I get on flat ground, over I go lol. Still, a fun day out. Thanks very much for stopping by, cheers Alan

Amazing view interesting content
Thanks for visiting, real good of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Gorgeous! What's a beautiful places and awesome sceneery and autstanding filming .super cool my friend Alan good job 🔥🔥🔥❤️👍
7:00 Nature in ALL her glory ...... Simply incredible.
I was blessed with the weather and the views on this one, funny enough, I am looking outside now to snow and ice and and -4C (24F) temps so a big change in the weather. Thanks so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
That Is awesome! Loved the waterfall!
Beautiful views! Just gorgeous!
Thanks so much!, real nice of you guys to stop by, appreciate it, cheers Alan
Wow what a day you had for this hike!😎👍. The lake district fells look just stunning in the sunshine, a perfect winter walking day, well apart from the slip, but happens to us all! I (Shell) always go on my bottom to get down slippery steep rocky sections, better to be safe than sorry! Some serious effort gone into this hike, thank you for taking us along Alan, take care, Shell and Pete
Thanks for watching and yes, apart from that fall, a real good days hiking and for November, you could not wish for better weather - it was amazing, cheers Alan
This is a beautiful collection. thank you for sharing Alan. stay safe and stay connected🌹👍👍
Thank you, I will! Appreciate you stopping by my friend, cheers Alan

In the video, you look really happy.
I support your wonderful life with beautiful nature. Really wonderful scenery. 👍👍
Have a great day 😊
Thank you very much! Real good of you to stop my and especially taking the time to leave a comment, something I appreciate, cheers Alan
The view of the lake and the mountains behind you is extremely beautiful.
I have such a lovely memory of magical Easedale Tarn. Your walk beyond the tarn looks amazing. Thanks for showing us Alan.
Yes and all the mud when I fall too lol! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Shame Emz couldn't make it, look forward to you too hitting the hills ⛰ knees normally have the opposite affect on people, not sure why the dog was lured lol! Meat pate? 🤔 🍖
Beautiful day for it Alan, smashing footage as always, colours really popping 😀 👌 🌞
What fantastic weather you had too, wow! Beautiful photos in the mix too 📸 😍
Wondered where the bog was going to creep up on you 🤔 🤣 😳 nothing wrong would a good faff Alan, what it's all about....just pack a head torch 🔦 🤗
Good bit of slouging, can't be helped some days! Looked like a trick climb down, well played making it in good time and safely 👍
Trev did a couple of hikes.....but he is a gluten for punishment lol sure there has been more too 😄
Lovely family memories Alan, well played, out next video ends in a similar fashion!
OH WOW 😃The sun peeking under the clouds above the hills shot, WOWZA! You've got some great footage here!
Thanks very much, appreciate you stopping by and the weather for the time of the year was insane, sometimes we do not days like that in the summer lol! Cheers Alan
Amazing very beautiful 🥰🥰🥰🙏
Thank you so much, real nice of you, cheers Alan
Great trek Alan, enjoyed watching and beautiful landscapes - like 50 with a full view as always
Thank you kindly, real nice of you, cheers Alan
Amazing video Alan💖✨I wish you all the best. Take care, my friend.🌷👍👍
Thank you, appreciate you watching, cheers Alan
Wonderfull video. Its a very beautiful place and you had great weather on your hike.Thank you.
Now that would be awesome, so I got my fingers crossed that you do get over here one day. Take care and thanks for watching, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN i fell in a muddy bog in Scotland once, got totally covered in gunge. My partner laughed for hours afterwards :)
Great view out there. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching, real good of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
I was following right behind, enjoying all the gorgeous scenery,Gods land.
Looked a lil chilly but still a great day for a hike with your partner🥰👍🏼
I wish I had had my partner with me, could have used an extra pair of hands when I fell lol. Still, a sure cool day out and I had a load of fun. Thanks so much for watching, cheers Alan
Oh man, the intro video is already impressive. I'm loving the landscape and its colors. Thanks for always giving us a pleasurable adventure Alan!
Lovely spot Easdale, another nice video :)
Love it there John, nice place to take the family as well, take care buddy and thanks for watching, cheers Alan
THANKS YOU FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
You go to some of the most beautiful places Alan.
The waterfall flowing through the mountains was so beautiful
That scenery out there is amazing 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks very much for stopping by Jason and I hit on lucky with an amazing days hiking great views and some insane weather, take care buddy, cheers Alan
You doing an awesome job representing the area you in.
Awesome hike Mr. Metalman. Thanks for sharing this.🤘
Thanks for watching, real good of you and very much appreciated, take care, cheers Alan
Your are totally awesome sir and such a great hiking trip. Keep it up and more vidz to come my friend.
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Beautiful country what an amazing place weather looks good stay safe my brother. Always a full view and a like. Cheers Mike
Thanks so much, real good of you and always very much appreciated. take care, cheers Alan
I really appreciate the values you share. Traveling also implies this, having experiences as well as moving from one place to another,
and you are able to transmit it very well. Great as always, Alan😊
Greetings, Patrizia🌻👍
Thank you so much for watching and your very kind words, something I appreciate, cheers Alan
Stunning landscapes in this one! Careful on those slippy rocks…hopefully it was just a bit of mud.
Thankfully it was but the funny thing was I managed to get the real steep, slippery and rocky decent and as soon as I was back on the flat, I fell lol. Thank you for stopping by, cheers Alan
I really enjoyed your beautiful video! 👍
Thank you very much, I really appreciate you watching and leaving a comment, cheers Alan
The views were amazing. But yes wet condition is always a challenge and dark setting in early. I'm glad you got down safely by dark
Yes, me too, I was worried coming down at the path was swimming with water on top of wet rock and typically, just as I got down on the flat, I fell down in a bog lol. Thank you for watching Nicole, it really is appreciated, cheers Alan
BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for checking out our channel!
No problem and good of you to stop by, real nice of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Man..that descent looked rough..I'll give that a miss! Another cracking day out...👍👍 - Cheers Alan - T🙂
An amazing hike, incredibly beautiful up there in the Lakes. Thanks for taking us with you Alan. I hope you're keeping well. x
Another beautiful adventure! I love the waterfall and the views from the top of High Raise! I hope you did not get pulled over :)
Haha, thankfully no lol! Good of you to stop by Liz, real nice of you and very much appreciated, cheers Alan
I like your videos and walks.
Thank you very much for watching Julie and taking the time to comment, real good of you and very much appreciated! Take care, cheers Alan
I really enjoyed your video with amazing views so nice to see this amazing beauty of the nature. Love it and Greetings
Very nice of you to watch and take the time to comment, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Great weather, great views, and a soggy bum... You got it all that day haha. Cheers, Atb James
Same to you too, really appreciate you take the time to watch, real good of you, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN The A Team has been painting the bedroom today - I think hiking is easier, definitely more enjoyable!! Regards, Ashley
Awesome video---this should be fun to watch
Thanks Dave, good of you buddy, cheers Alan
Beautiful views, Alan. Looks like you had a little more sun than a lot of your hikes. Great stuff.
I sure was blessed on this hike, the weather was unreal for mid November. It has turned back to normal now mind lol. Real nice of you to stop by and comment cheers Alan
Thanks buddy for the great video
Good of you to watch John, cheers Alan
Hi Alan. Another cracking hike, and a beautiful day for it👍 That descent did look well dodgy though! 😨 All the best and take care!👍👍
That's some stunning views 🤩
You are some damn lucky with that weather too!
@@AlanMETALMAN think that's when I was at Keswick. Was a glorious day there. Haha, typical!! But I can't say anything, that's the exact thing I'd do 😂
Great video Alan.
Great watching 🖤🖤
Thanks for the visit, real nice of you, appreciate it, cheers Alan
Stunning mate, great video! Thanks for sharing the route on the map, love it. Ive mapped the route. Amazing video and as always down to earth commentary that everyone loves. Well done bud!
Thank you very much, nice of you to watch as well. It's a great route but once on the ridge the path is a bit him and miss, so just as well I had OS maps on my phone as well as the map version. Cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN it did look abit rough. Will change it to stick to the main green route on the os maps. Thanks again for an honest review of a walk.
Fantastic video Alan and I will look forward to the next one.
Amazing video man, 8:00 view is just breathtaking. Little jealous right now.😀😀
Glad you enjoyed it and real nice of you to stop by. That was filmed in mid November and at one point I was down to shorts and a T Shirt - crazy weather, cheers Alan

@@AlanMETALMAN Greetings from the Philippines🇵🇭😊. You’re welcome.
Hey Alan💜your videos are awesome
I tried using that but me a coffee app, didn’t work for me
Look at that golden sunrise to start your days journey, gorgeous waterways and falls, just stellar views!!
We was supposed to carry on and pick up the Sergeant but our legs were done after the rake so called it a day
Great watch mate, I’ll defo be working my way through all your vids
Big love team 54 🥾🏔❤️
@@GENerationXplorers - 🤣
All best.
nice day for it 👌 lovely sharp footage Alan 👍 & a bit winter sun on ya legs 😁
Yes it was, could not believe it was mid November, it was a better day that some I had out in the summer lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Alan you made my night ! I love waterfalls and this was so good. Enjoyed your banter and have subscribed as I want to see more ! New friends here from North Wales . See you soon, Anna & Alf
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for watching. Only been to North Wales once, when we climbed Snowdon about 5 years ago but really enjoyed it, so need to go back. Cheers Alan
Like 100 from me buddy another great wee time out my man
Much appreciated, real good of you to stop by, cheers Alan
That little push Alan produced some fine views... I think you pick the hard route just for the challenge...
Thank you so much for stopping by, cheers Alan
wow man you super fit I think you should get a step counter It will be interesting to see how many steps you do on a day like this like 82
26,431 steps on this one, as I put it up right at the end, long day, tough day but a very enjoyable one. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
