    Coming back strong with the uploads! Keep up the good work! Also, couldn’t agree more. Latitude outdoors make a great saddle.

    I know your whole outfit is Sitka and Sitka makes an awsome bino harness that I love

      I've never actually tried their harness. It seemed it bit bulkier than I would have liked. Glad to hear it works well tho!

    What a great gear review. Thanks for sharing. I always found that the bigger the pack the more stuff hauled out that you may or may not need. On Western hunts in Oregon for elk my pack would have a lot in it for the simple reason that if I ended up out in the woods for a night or two I would be O.K. The only bull I shot I had emptied out about 10lbs that afternoon and then tagged up a couple hours later. Been keeping it that way since. I should be moving back to the U.P. this summer and am purchasing things for saddle hunting so I'll still be going in light and hopefully coming out heavy. I would like to self film but that is another hobby I don't need to get into. Just dumped about 10K into astrophotography gear. Any rate thanks for sharing and you get a like and a sub for the videos that I have so far enjoyed. Thanks John.

      Hey John, thanks for taking the time to watch the video and leave a comment. Sounds like you’ve got a wide range of experience in different terrains. The filming deal can be a pain but there are ways to get into it without spending an extra $10k. I think a saddle will serve you well, regardless of what part of the US you are hunting though.

    Hello good sir, thanks for the video.
    It is a bit under exposed and low contrast. Hopefully the feedback is received well!

    • @NextStepOutdoors
      @NextStepOutdoors  2 года назад +1

      It is and I completely agree. I trusted my eyes when I should have trusted the camera telling me it was under exposed. Hopefully it was bearable still. Thank you for the feedback!

    Speaking of compasses, fun story. Last April I was scouting a huge piece of public that I had never been on before. I was a mile and a half back and realized my phone had 3% battery. I was able to download a compass app and get a heading before the phone died. I used the sun to get back to my car but it would have been much better to just have a compass.

    In your previous vid you mentioned you keep hydrated very well, wouldn't a camel back on your backpack be an idea?

    • @NextStepOutdoors
      @NextStepOutdoors  2 года назад

      I’ve yet to find a pack that has a hydration bladder but also has the other features that work well for a treestand/saddle pack. I have a Badlands 2200 pack with a hydration bladder that I use on my western hunts though.
