    Most people only look at the 'basic's' of a chart. You really need to look deeper to get more accurate entries. This will make your trading more profitable because you won't take some of the bad trades you used to take which will ultimately make your winners more impactful!

    I’ve spent the last month diving into learning content, including your channel. This specific video has taught me more than any of the others. While it does require some very basic terminology familiarity; the thorough breakdowns of examples, questions with pauses, and direct uploads of live traders sessions really helps drill in the points via QandA. I really appreciate this video thank you

    This is the foundation of trading. If you understand why the candles are formed you will have expenitial wins.
    Great job Jared. My recommendation for any trader is to watch more of these type videos until it clicks for you and you understand the candle. This has taken the stress out of trading for me. Let's make some money!

    I bought into SHLL for 200 shares at 46.69 without a stop because my safety net is I will hold this for a few years no problem. Then it immediately dropped and did a two point landing and I said to myself... self, you just saw this chart on a training video this morning. So now watching it again while I’m climbing back to a $50 resistance. This could be a good day. Love this channel.

    You are my idol! I love your videos, ( i have watched about ten so far) I have increased my earnings (buying smaller quantities of shares) and have a higher success on picking good trades. I started watching your videos on pre market set ups. I had been noticing the paterns a few months ago and had no idea on why they were happening. That coupled with your explanation of three bar plays is absolute gold! I get it now whereas i have watched a few others explaining it and never understood what they were trying to teach. My only negative comment is it takes to long to get to the point. Meaning i could skip ahead 4 minutes to get to the good stuff on most of the videos. I do understand what you are conveying with “when will the madness stop” I just wish that segment was cut down to a minute tops. Keep up the great work!

    You sum it up perfectly in the beginning. This is a very hard business. I have spent a year absolutely obsessed with figuring out how to trade price action. I am just now becoming comfortable with what I see happening during the trading day, and I am now beginning to make money. I had two other starts into this, and I realized I wasn't ready both times, donated some money to the ES market, and went back and learned more. This isn't easy nor is it easy money....you will earn every dollar. Thanks for your videos. Jared. They're gold.

    Interesting timing on this one, because today I was seeing opportunities then not executing, but it's because I have this mindset, and it needs tweaking. It's just a stage. I trade scared, and you know some days, I just feel different. Lots of people have the exact same emotions every day, I'm an older woman, and well even when I was younger, I experience a different emotional landscape daily. It's good to remember, our job is to stay out of trades, mostly,. We get in when it's "sure" (disclaimer, nothing is ever sure but we all know what we mean by this.).

    Awesome lesson. I watched it last night, and I applied it today. Scanning for a buy set up, found one. Looks good, I've got buy signals. Then I applied my new insight (thank you) and i looked for reasons to NOT get in. They were there (heavy resistance, shallow pull-back) so now i have to wait...and while waiting price broke down. Whew! That was close. I applied this to the next set-up I found, and it happened again. Two trades that i would have drawn on, and lost on, were two trades that made no sense to buy when applying this line of thinking. Like I said, awesome lesson, thank you.

    Money is the byproduct of being good at trading. Not so much the reason when full understood.. The goal is to expand your knowledge and expertise to a point where the byproduct of being fucking amazing at your craft is that money comes as the by product.
    When money is the goal.. That's where you get fomo/novice emotional investing because they see the dollar number up or down.

    This is a plug for Jared and Anmol... Live Traders, and what they're all about. I am going to copy and paste this comment to every video I watch henceforth.

    In trying to educate myself over the years to be a trader I have literally spent thousands, and thousands, AND THOUSANDS of dollars, and put in hundreds, upon hundreds, UPON HUNDREDS of hours of study.

    I have read countless books, watched countless videos, attended countless webinars, and learned countless principles. I’ve bought and tried different services like IBD, Motley Fool, Seeking Alpha, and have been a member of different trading rooms that I won’t mention by name… all with less than helpful outcomes, and some with DISASTROUS outcomes!

    But the major problem, I would say, is that so far what I have learned THAT HAS BEEN helpful or valuable I have had to piece together from multiple sources. It's been a jigsaw puzzle to be sure, and I'm still not done.

    Live Traders... this channel... these guys... they're covering it all (and more)! There is no doubt in my mind, NO DOUBT, that this is the best teaching I have had yet, by a HUGE margin! THE BEST! The reason? It's extremely comprehensive, and I mean EXTREMELY!

    My background: mid 50's entrepreneur who's been married to the same amazing woman for 26 years. We have three beautiful daughters and live in a small town in central Alberta, Canada. We have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars and have a net worth approaching $2.2M. But here's the thing; being in the service industry for as long as we have (we have owned and operated a popular fast food franchise for the last 16 years) is VERY hard and takes a lot out of us.

    As such we have been on a search for ways to be able to finally retire from it and enjoy life; traveling with friends, camping, fishing, hiking, skiing... whatever it is we want to do! In order to do that we need to be able to supplement our income, b/c we have no pension (unlike those of you who have have been working for your paycheck and - hopefully - DO have a pension); what we have is what we've saved, so we need to keep money coming in. Our plan has long been to learn trading and get very good at it.

    This is the road that has led me here... to Live Traders. I have watched enough vid's now to know I am home. I have a lot more to learn, but I am extremely confident that with their mentorship I am gonna finally finish this puzzle. I am also a member of their chatroom (just joined) and have seen some REALLY good trades called out and even taken one under their watchful eye. Finally, I will be taking the Professional Trading Strategies (PTS) course, after which I'll start trading in the room more, but even then it'll be with a $10 risk to start; the goal is to learn, learn, learn with VERY little risk… the money will follow in time.

    It’s taken me 2 hours to write this review/comment, but I wanted to make sure I did it right and communicated effectively!

    Thank you Jared and Anmol! THANKYOU!

    This is a nice way to put it.
    Instead of looking for reasons to take it, search for reasons not to. That's like dodging every bullet by not getting into a relationship when there's red flags right at the start instead of going into it and regretting you decided to "ignore" said red flags.
    Man, you're onto something here.

    Question at 30:00 if we had multiple timeframes and the higher Tframe revealed the double top might not be as significant as it appears, would it still carry the same weight in the context of the chart or would you re-assess?

    • @Live.Traders
      @Live.Traders  5 лет назад +2

      Hard to imagine if the double top is significant on the lower TF that it wouldnt also be significant on the higher TF.

      @@Live.Traders hmm yea come to think of it, it would be hard to imagine. I guess the best you can do is consider it and assess the rest of the evidence

    Great video, I have watched it three times. Question to folks. With a risk of just a dime or so you would need to buy a lot of shares. For example, 1000 shares would give you a $100R. 5000 shares would give you a $500R. But with this number of shares won't you get slippage? I see there is good volume on the chart so that's a factor too but we never discuss the time frame of the chart so I don't know if that is hourly, 15 minutes, etc.

      Thinking the same thing. And the amount of capital you'd need on a 28 dollar stock to do that

    A double bottom combined with a retracement hammer and confirmation at $27.58... trade #2 is definitely the best. The double top on trade #3 would concern me. Trade #4 has 3 black crows which could have indicated a downtrend.

    Loved it Jared. Thank you. I was wrong about one of them but was right on the other four. I would not take the first one because it was under the moving average and the trend, for starters. I would have jumped on No. 2, but would have gotten a little nervous when it pulled back below my entry. I would have been scared of No. 3 because it was below the moving average, and I would not have taken No.'s 4 & 5 at all. So in this lesson I would have left some money on the table it seems, but would not have lost any.

    I liked the SELL setup after the first initial pullback. Stock is in a downtrend 50% retracement, volume came back on the red candle. Only gripe i have is the moving average.
    Again you dont want to trade in a vacuum looking at one time frame chart.
    You dont want to trade in a vacuum biased on strictly BUY setups or SELL setups.
    If i had to make 1 trade on this chart it would’ve been a sell setup on the first initial pullback at 27.65.

    You are surely the best educator on youtube! Thank you sooo much for helping everyone with your awesome videos and vast knowledge.You always mention the moving average in your videos.I know Anmol likes VWAP where you seem to reference the 20EMA if I am not mistaken. Which do you prefer for 1,2,and 5 minute time frames?

      I dont use MA's for my trading, only the daily 200ma.

      I have been learning to trade for two+ years now. It has been a brutal learning curve to say the least, but expected as this is a long term game plan. (Like any other career). But What I do want to mention about this video in particular (for me at least) is how it has seriously made me realize that a lot of my entries are technically weak decisions. I have a ton of technical understanding of charts and indicators, software etc. But this video has been BEYOND VALUABLE to me as a second year trader. It reiterates the demand for patience and wise decision making above and beyond just knowing charts, candles and indicators. Regards and thanks.

    At 14:05 you said if it's below the trend line, that's a reason not to take the trade. But doesn't that mean the price should correct "to" the trend line, moving upwards in price? I would think that would be a good reason to take the trade. Thx

    11:26 - I'm confused about the pivot targets.
    Why isn't the second target not the top wick of the left large bear candle that covers $27.58 to 27.75? That's a pretty big pivot and where sellers last pushed the buyers down hard right?
    Then you have the Doji bars on the top left - why wouldn't you mark the first resistance point as say that middle red Doji?
    Just curious.

    • @Live.Traders
      @Live.Traders  5 лет назад +2

      I'l have to go back and look...but I'm 99% certain the targets are correct.

    I think it’s amazing/hilarious that you have multiple trading labyrinths. Looking back, can you believe that this is actually happening for you? I can’t believe that I am treating myself.uu
    I never really understood retracement levels until you started explaining them. Honestly I guessed the best two trades just looking at the pattern.
    my number one would’ve been whenever previous resistance was broken. The most secure trade.Because that’s what I know to look at.
    But when you explained pullback and retracement levels, I understood very clearly. Keep on hustling. Love to see the clips of the cars and airplanes. LOL. You’ve worked hard for all of it.

    Can you provide some insight on the final minutes before close. There are always spikes in every which way with increased volume. Does the final minute momentum create any signals for buy setup or sell setups into the next day if after hours trading has little movement? I notice with many stocks sometimes the momentum continues into next day and sometimes it just presents as the opposite. Again thanks for all this information and work you put in.

    • @Live.Traders
      @Live.Traders  5 лет назад +1

      The final minute is a crap shoot and i'd stay away from it. Last minute orders being filled on both the buy and sell side....most of which have nothing to do with the chart, they are simply getting the orders on or off their books for the day.

    1st trade is too aggressive. 4th is junk. 5th is suicidal.. I wonder why alot of people jump into aggressive and suicidal moves when it comes to trading. Thank you for the Alpha , Jared. 🧡
