cant say for sure about the 135 but we found with the e90 335's if you had less than a quarter tank of gas during a track session you get fuel starvation at the in tank pump in high speed corners, being direct injection if the dme saw any pressure loss to the high pressure pump it would put the car into limp mode.
"He crashed his BMW so he is more than qualified to drive my BMW........."
I have had both cars and never have problems with my Mini on track days. The 1’er not so much, it barely made it through a auto cross.
R53 are great and reliable , the dipstick and the bypass valve are common problems , remplace the bypass valve with a detroit tune one and the dipstick that is cheap
I laughed out loud at "the dip stick is broken"
They all do that
Soooo that's why the Ninja is so chill @ 1:53! LMAO! Love it!!!
“I don’t think it’s gonna break”
Yeah, it’s gonna break.
Thanks for your track adventures. As a fellow BMW owner, I would recommend you take out the tuner you are running and go with a BootMod3 flash instead. I have a single tune piggyback controller in my 328i, but I will go with BootMod3 when funds allow.
Hoovies garage gets some seat time?! 💖I love it!
R53 is a great track car. Just have to ditch the stock wheels for some light weight 15s. I have an mc40 as well and my track tires and wheels are 15 pounds lighter each or 60 lbs in total. Night and day difference.
Every time Tyler goes to the track it costs him like 15 grand, so that’s why we have like 3-4 of these types of vids 😂
3:27 Mike chasing after Ben with his camera lol
i think you need a bit more tire on that 135 lol
Loved your “boost face,” Hoovie! Glad you and Elliott Alvis had such a great time!
Car ninja "it's a marijuana pipe".
As I sit here grinding up some bud watching this video, "he knows".
I stand corrected. Now I see why that BMW 135i is the best BMW in past decade with those mods. The WOT must feel like riding a rocket off the edge of the Earth.
"Look, there is no oil showing on the dipstick."
Starts up the engine and starts revving it.
*facepalm*
The guy has a Mercedes SLR, lambos and rolls Royces.
He doesnt give a sh!t.
@@alphatrion100 which is fine but don’t blame these cars for “failing”. Some of us would like to sell theirs one day and this stupid stuff isn’t obvious to many (judging by the comments).
I have a Mini Cooper S and use it as a dedicated track car. Doesn't have a lot of mods but has never broken down at the track. But you do worry as it is a BMW product :p
Hoovie, why did you break my MINI? lol. Dipstick breaking off in the tube, that's a new one!
That's just a sign for all over bad quality
Common problem on these Minis, you could see it was ready to break when they pulled it out, but like morons they put it back in and then it broke off.
Hoovie, as a previous n54 owner I can tell you that the JB4 is going to cause limo mode more often in high performance driving settings. Please remove it and flash a MHD stage 2+ map, no back end flash. Its much nicer product and allows for diagnostic by iphone or android. Very reasonable pricing too.
That 'Rarri tho! Hoo wee!! 🥵🤩
What about the van, is the van going to get a shot on the track?
When you start talking about Boost I thought it was chocolate or vanilla. 🤣🤣🤣
Great vid!!! Do you still have the 135i? If so any videos in the pipeline I have one and I love it …thanks
I can't tell you how cool it is to see you driving my old 135i on the track. If you are interested, I'm a member at NJMP and would love to take you out with the McLaren I replaced it with. I'll even bring my M2 Competition for you to compare the 1 with!
128i was the last true BMW. The 135i is an amazing car that shows how much the tech makes a difference. It is a ton of fun stock and amazing with bolt ons. I’d still take the 28 though. Won’t go as fast but the analog feel is why we fell in love with the Bavarian car back in the 80s.
Hope you aired up that trailer tire... it looks really low lol
9:06 That exhaust on that MX5 sounds so good holy
As a Weed enthusiast I loved the marijuanna pipe line lol
Wish I could justify putting "weed enthusiast" as a hobby on my resume 😂
@@chiluco2000 yah know maybe in a few years we will be able to. Seems like it might get you a job with ninja already.
Lessons learned from this channel, never ever but a BMW out of warranty.
