I think we might have another statue put up if Coach keeps producing not only quality players, but quality people who represent the school so well. Best to these ladies, I love to watch them play and have not followed women's basket ball much until the last few years. Thanks Coach for all you do.
This from a “foe” (you took down our Buckeyes last year)-you’ve built a great program, one that’s a joy to watch. (Cher and Madonna have nothing on these two, by the way-they’re bright and talented and will go far!). Good luck for the rest of the way (at least until/unless you come up against OSU)!
When a great player (Liz) can’t be stopped, ever, defenders tend to be more aggressive. Aggressiveness leads to more fouls, yet you never see those fouls called. Ever. It’s mind blowing and shame on this league for not addressing it. Keep grinding Liz. Even if this league is against you, Hokie nation ALWAYS has your back.!
Sad that the player and coach wanted the walk, but ignore that huge goose egg on Kitley's forehead. At least the refs made the right call. And the guys from ESPN said Cala "stepped on that player" when it was plain that Cala got kicked in the ankle. Y'all keep playing tough!!
You have to get hit very hard to have that type of contusion. We're lucky Liz is not out for concussion protocol and miss the Duke and Louisville games.
Kenny has had enough. I wish it made a difference. You know Duke is coming in with this gameplan+1. I would love for the refs to take control of this bullcrap early in the game, but it won't happen.😡
the FIRST VT - team National Championship - team should be immortalized with a team statue! IMO, these players play as a team. TV host: "congrats, you broke the ACC double-double record set in the 1980s." E. Kitley: "I did? wow, thanks." see, the players don't care about records. "Their trophies are all over my office" -K. Brooks. Just look at other players "me me me", "I'm almost there (at a record)"; not everyone, not all the time; however, this VT WBB team is devoid of self-play at their best.
Please don't complain about the officiating, that will bring this wonderful TEAM more issues to deal with. Coach Brooks and company will figure it out. The whole team and coaching staff are fantastic and to even be competitive in this league is remarkable. You go girls, both me and my wife absolutely support you.
The worst thing about women’s college basketball is the horrible officiating. There are very few women’s coaches who teach the right way to play. 90% of teams (LSU, S Car, etc) play like goons and get away with it.
Facts are facts. Check the stats - these ladies have been to the line far less than every other player across the league with comparable scoring numbers. It takes a lot for Coach Brooks to get to the point where he’s calling it out - unlike many other coaches who constantly whine. And our players don’t whine either. He’s absolutely right - the league (ACC, NCAA) needs to do better. That’s stating fact. Nothing wrong with saying that.
Where is the ice pack? You would think the presidents and ADs of the conference would demand consistent officiating, they would demand a certain type of officiating. Are there coaches who demand that their ADs/Presidents allow for the physicality and inconsistencies that occur? ADs can communicate with the organizations that provide officials. Why isn't Whitlock and company DEMANDING change. This should be across the country. How refs officiate different games affect wins and losses.

Coach, you are as genuine as they come. A perfect fit and we are all blessed and thankful that you are our coach to lead our kids!
You all are a special team and people want to see it and the greatness! Keep doing great things….. sky’s the limit!

Kenny should print out a picture of Liz's forehead, hand it to the crew chief, and say "please don't let this happen today."

I love how authentic they all are. Absolutely loved the transparency from Georgia! Kitley deserves her number retired at the very least so does 5

If the refs can’t see Liz getting assaulted at the post, she needs wrestling headgear to protect herself 😢😮😊

I thought Liz had a knot on her head after the nc state game.
She did
The small one on the left is from NCSU. The huge knot was from today.
Start with the refereeing committees and the rules committees. The refs have to make the calls; I am shocked at what they let go.
Liz Better be ready to get HACKED by Duke, they are gonna swing at her bc she is healing
Is there somewhere that fans can complain to ACC officials?
The sideline
Stop whining and pay tough Zone Defense
@@samshutt4359getting nearly concussed = whining. Y’all are comical
