I really enjoyed your review and it prompted me to buy the book . I am a big fan of Steve Beam and have followed his work for years . Can’t go wrong with any of his books. By the way , your channel is outstanding ! I watch your videos regularly and am really impressed with the production quality and content . Very well done !
You had me at Steve Beam. I am a huge fan of both his books and him. I wasn't even aware he had a new book out. But I've ordered it now. Thanks for another fun review, Jeff!
I will have to check this book out. I am familiar with his works. when you and I met the other week I wish I could have sat and talked with you. we will have to get together when I am not doing a kids show. lol!!!!
Great book review. I have about 7 of his Semi automatic books, and there fantastic. You had mentioned sleights in this one, are some with no sleights. Also did you ever do a review of Eddie Joseph, he has some interesting card stuff too.😊🤜🤛👏😊👏😊👏👍👍
Yes, there are many with no sleights! I just meant that he teaches some useful sleights. I have not reviewed Eddie Joseph. I'm not sure that I actually own any of his works, but I'd be interested in looking at it
@@EruditeMagic Eddie Joseph is worth a look for historical reasons. A good overview of the work is his book The Art of Eddie Joseph which is out of print, but was put out by the UK's Supreme Magic. Abbott's may also have put it out since they often were the US outlet for Joseph's material. It's available as a download from Lybrary and I suspect Don gets copies regularly.
@@EruditeMagic Meaning you might be destroying the stack and have to tediously reassemble things afterward before performing for your next audience. But that doesn't seem to be the case by your comment here, if I'm understanding correctly?
Hmm!Isn’t this the guy that does the semi automatic books?Doesn’t he do them himself?Im just wondering if he got himself a publisher,he could make himself a fortune!Maybe he already has a fortune?!Still, intrigued with what this present book is about?!!
Researched 14/15 & found listing in Hugard’s EoCM from CJ & felt I was ready for your review. Reference geek in me wants, like I did & bought for SpellBinders. But guilt of not cracking "Best of All Worlds (OOTW epic) yet on my shelf shames me. Thanks again. You are the Man! Great review!
just finished reading the book, everything before the tricks chapter are great, all the forces and ruses. But the tricks are bad, I didnt find a single trick using the principle that worths the time. The funny thing is most of the tricks explained dont use the principle, and the tricks that dont use the principle are actually good

So glad you enjoyed it, Doug. I know you'll love the book. Have fun!
Oh now I have to get thie one. Awesome review!
Thanks, Sean!
Good review. I got my copy about a week or so ago and have thumbed through it. Looks just as strong as Beam's other excellent work.
Thank you! Yes, everything he publishes is well-done. Not to mention his network that helps to make each book as strong as possible 💪

Sounds great! This was actually the book I had with me. I was reading through it in preparation for this review 😆

Thanks for the info! I definitely want to look into him
Hi Jeff (or anyone else owning the book),
Are there sections in Smokers to return to stack order like in Pit Hartling's book: In Order to Amaze?
Most of the tricks don't have you leaving stack. What do you mean by "return to stack?"

All will be revealed during the show, I hope! But yes, this is the same Steve Beam who wrote the Semi-Automatic Card Tricks books. 👍
@@EruditeMagic This is very cheap compared to other S.Beam. books! Though all his books look absolutely top notch!!!
You're right about that!
@@EruditeMagic Brilliant show by the way.Very enjoyable.Maybe another book on the to get list!!!
Thanks, Kalvin!
