Thanks for posting this. I'm new subscriber. I am 32 and I've survived stroke caused by spontaneous CAD on October. Few weeks ago I believed I was having another stroke that brought me to ER. It seems it was anxiety attack.. Controling anxiety and panic is something I need to learn if I want to have my life back.
Thanks for the advice, I'm so glad I found your channel, I honestly thought I was the only one going through this & that I was going insane. I know it's a temporary thing but when you're having an attack it's bloody awful, thanks again, your channel is helping me. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤
Hello! One of my relatives is suffering from this, they had an ischemic cva, then within 1-2 weeks after that they started having panic attacks, initially we didn't know about that so, we got scared, then one day they had to be taken to the emergency room because of a severe panic attack, now they do get panic attacks but the severity of it has got down! Can you please help me out with anything like how can it be prevented?
I used to be a force to be reckoned with. Now it seems that I’m broken and can’t be fixed. In the words of my hubby he used to call me indestructible.!! I’m fighting super hard everyday to get better. Thanks again to for everything you have done for me so far. Cause there’s no help here in my country of Trinidad 🇹🇹.
I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. If you have access to a counselor, mental health therapist, or occupational therapist, I'd recommend reaching out. If not, talk to your primary care doctor or neurologist. And get involved in a support group if you're able (even virtually).
Does ischemic stroke cause severe panic attack? My mom is a stroke pateint she is constantly having a hard time breathing during the attacks and it worries me so much.
@Balletbooksandbeauty, Typically the pathophysiology of a stroke doesn't necessarily cause increased anxiety/panic attacks. From what I've read, it seems to be due to the mental health issues that accompany a very traumatic event (like a stroke!). The first thing I would do is talk with her doctor about this issue to rule out anything else that may be going on. It is common to experience hyperventilation (rapid, shallow breathing) during panic attacks which can cause numbness and tingling in the extremities. While she's in the midst of a panic attack, try demonstrating slow deep breaths (in through your nose and out through your mouth) and try to have your mother follow along. If you can, get a pulse oximeter as well to monitor her blood oxygen saturation. Usually, anything above 90% on room air (not on supplemental oxygen) means that she's getting plenty of oxygen. This may help her calm down by realizing that her body and brain are getting the oxygen they need. I hope this helps! I wish you both the best!
Would love to see something on emotional lability. Still have it 20yrs post stroke. My daughter’s wedding coming in 6 months and I don’t want to ruin my makeup, but not look stoned face either. While I try not to lose it🤦♀️😂🫣. I can just think about how cute they are together n I can feel me welling up🙈🙊
I actually recently made a video on reducing emotional outbursts you may find helpful: ruclips.net/video/fKBMVn8q0G4/видео.html And congratulations on your daughter’s upcoming marriage!!❤️
