I feel like Ludens was a good blend of their past albums, it's got the heavy EDM feel of Nihilist Blues from Amo. It's got the more traditional modern rock sound of That's The Spirit and then some of the dirty heavy screams and of Sempiternal.

Welcome back. If you're looking for some smaller but still very good bands, I'd highly recommend Alexisonfire to you. They're a super underrated Canadian band. I'd suggest the song Boiled Frogs.
