  • This was the first hit for the Commodores after Lionel Richie left, and is one of my all time favorites. Recorded here via GoPro at Heavy Seas Alehouse in Baltimore, Maryland.

Excellent dude! Snappy guitar with tight pace and cool vocals. I'll check your channel later. Right now, just researching "Nightshift." Love your cover.

Hey Michael I am a solo acoustic player outside of Philly I love your sound and arrangements. Thanks for sharing! You sound awesome my musical brother. Can you tell me how you get the video to sound like a soundboard? I have been trying and failing every time live. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Sorry for the ridiculous delay; I used a mic adaptor plugged in to the GoPro and then ran it to a small stereo electret condenser mic that I attached closer to my face on the upper boom of the mic stand. Then, I would rip the stereo audio from the video file and run it through Reason mastering suite to add some studio compression and a slight hall reverb to even out the blend. Then I'd add the processed audio back into the post production on Windows MovieMaker. Sometimes it was a challenge to get the timing synched back up. Also, I always could mix the dry audio from the video file back in with the processed audio; if it felt like the verb was too different from the natural room sound.
