This music starting up as you bust through the dreadnought's hull and you see Brevon on the big screen commanding his army to warp in from the background... The whole finale to this game utterly rocked, but that setpiece really kicked the hype into overdrive :D
Out of all of the final levels I've ever played, the Final Dreadnought is easily the best ending levels I've ever played through, amazing music and a really awesome atmosphere really ties it all together, along the emphasis of speed. Also having Brevon constantly trying to stop you throughout was a really cool touch.
This theme is ingrained into my mind after playing it hundreds and hundreds of times. Wouldn't have it any other way. The first stage to truly beat my face into the ground (first game over when I first played the game), and now my favorite stage to go into Time Attack and blast right through! And then I end up back here because of FP2 hype. FP1's so awesome already, I can't contain myself for FP2!
Final Dreadnought atmosphere summary: Act 1: All right guys, we just stormed right into the core of Brevon's stronghold. Enemies are constantly ambushing you. Keep on your toes everybody. Let's charge through them. GO! Act 2: Whew! We just made it through the most crowded part of their ship. Things seem to settle down a bit. But don't get reckless. Progress with caution. Act 3: Alrighty guys, we are heading deeper and deeper into the spaceship. We have been spotted and enemies are spawned everywhere. Prepare ourselves. Let's break through their defense. Act 4: Few enemies, few hazards. Everything's so quiet. Get ready guys. The final showdown is just ahead. The end is near, Breven is waiting for us. Let's settle things once and for all and save the planet.
From Lilac and Carol’s story perspective for Act 4: Milla… What Brevon has done is unforgivable. When I get my hands on him, I will slaughter him for hurting my friend!
This makes it feel like you're near the end. The final battle draws near, and you have to get to Brevon. His troops are pulling out all the stops, trying to destroy you, but you'll never give up.
This feels like a final level theme from the Megaman X/Z/ZX series. I also can’t help noticing the first part uses the same chord progression as Lava Reef.

since i usually play as milla, when i went to make a lilac file and got to here i remember boosting at the airlock part and fell. i was going for a no death file too so i had to redo the level.

I recently started to play this game again. Love nearly every music track in Freedom Planet.
