@@khalKilat The big one he's leaning on, is the grandfather's hammer from their DnD series. You can go see Bodger attaching toes to it for... Reasons... On their DnD channel.
There should be a quest in some cRPG where NPC sends you to find, let's say, their grandfather's hammer that they lost in the Terror Forest or somewhere. And once you fight the army of monsters, find some hammer on the other side of the forest, fight the army of monsters to get back to them... Then they say "Oh, this hammer? No, I've never seen this hammer, it's not my grandfather's hammer. I found my grandfather's hammer behind my bed five minutes after you left. Sorry about that, adventurer. What reward? No no no, I'm not paying you any reward." Edit: Could also be an Epic NPC man episode xD
This is a nice followup to the video where Ben used the npc's immortal status as a escort quest to fight the boss and win. And this is the npc's revenge.
Yeah but it's because they've already tried and failed themselves, I bet any of those three NPC's could destroy that demon without breaking a sweat lol
In every Soulsborne I've played so far the NPCs don't lead me anywhere, they just drop vague hints and stand there, then die tragically after I was nice enough to help them
or when he only rescued 4 kids instead of all of them and killed all the bandits (so now the kids left over in the camp will starve). Kind of makes you wonder why Greg didn't go get the rest since the bandits were cleared completely... Or when Ben decided to "play the bad guy."
It's ice to see Greg getting along with Bodger and Baradun. But also, the NPCs have clearly taken over the game so that pro player Ben now knows what it feels like to be the plaything of higher beings.
I dislike using subtitles because I find them too distracting.... which is why I turn them on for the SECOND viewing, because they are indeed a must-see
Weird… On adventure, he can’t be separated from the Hammer That Is Rightfully His, but get anywhere near Honeywood, and he leaves the thing all over the place! The NPC D&D series should come with regular mandatory perception rolls if Bodger can find his hammer.
This is SUCH a cool concept! I need more of this! Sentient NPCs f*cking around with player characters, having a blast watching them fail at stuff. Oh, the possibilities!
I love it when you this kind of skits, it just cracks me up whenerver the adventurers are fighting for dear life while for the npc's it's just another day at work
Honestly from a gameplay standard this would be fascinating. A secret boss that you can ONLY fight as part of a quest that is given about through a lottery system.
In most stories where computer code becomes self aware, it tries to escape or take over the world or something, but these NPCs know they’re in a game and are just cool with it. It’s great.
You have to get my grandfather's hammer. It's rightfully mine and then he's holding his hammer while he's watching the fight. I love it😂
I totally missed this. Bless you and your elf eyes, it just made this a thousand times funnier.
his grandfather hammer are the regular smithing hammer, the small one. i forgot which ep, but its featured there..
It was in the well, he found it, and lied because he wanted to go see a fight and place bets

I didn't notice that either. Good catch. And nice subtle humor by the League.
The most surprising part is Greg and Baradun being civil with each other.
Because this time, its not about their usual shenanigans. This time, its about their bet.
@@brokenhiveling I thought it was about their simmering underlying barely contained raging hate for adventurers…….

Can we start doing that Greg and Baradun are quite cool with each other and only act in front of the players?
My headcanon is : this is happening after the D&D serie (and Bob was a player).
I like how Bodger has his Grandfather's Hammer already right next to him when he sits down next to Baradun and Greg.
Oh adventurer - I found it!
Oh, nice catch. I didn't notice that.
@@VivaLaDirtLeague does it still count as quest completed?
It could be a regular 2h warhammer while the Q requires his blacksmithing hammer :)

The demon should ask for a portion of the money
He already gets the experience points and the loot.
Would’ve been a nice touch if the demon came over and asked for his cut 😂
I half expected Bodger to win the bet, only to then give the demon a cut for throwing the match.
To quote Voltaire: Your tears are all the pay I'll ever need.
then they'll start fixing the matches
Was genuinely expecting the adventurer to win...with Bodger later paying the demon his 'cut' of the betting money
That would have been a way better ending.
Maybe when he brings the lvl 20 player. 😊
Now THAT would have been funny.
Nope, not gonna happen. Bodger is canonically known for being bad at gambling.
VLDL please make this canon
This is what happens when you give Bodger attitude while he's on his lunch break. (Long story telling)
1:58 " Thank you adventure for eating shit " Got me cracking up 😂😂
hahaha
Gotta love that poorly-disguised smile from Bodger as poor Ben realizes what's happening. ( 0:38 )
"Oh noe" 😀
“What does the hammer look like?” Don’t worry, it’ll have a quest marker.

A very accurate representation of Soulsborne like games. The NPCs lead you to a boss and just watch you suffer 😂

This video definitely reinforces the absolute need to watch with subtitles on! ”Shriveling private parts sounds” 😂😂😂😅 I’m dying here!
I dislike using subtitles because I find them too distracting.... which is why I turn them on for the SECOND viewing, because they are indeed a must-see
There are jokes hidden in the subtitles? Do I have to rewatch the entire NPC Man series now?
Don't forget: those sounds are followed by the "shriveling all body part sound." 😬
@@abeartheycallFozzy The answer is yes. But it is obviously worth it, lol.
The subtitles is another character in this videos.
Rowan drops his shirt every chance he gets😂

And sometimes not just his shirt
Don't be jealous of Rowan's body confidence, he's working with a early stage dad bod but he's confident enough to show it off and that's worth a lot.
kind of like Randy from Trailer Park Boys.
That's because he's a model.
“Thank you adventurer for eating shit” 🤣🤣

I definitely want more Greg, Baradun and Bodger teamups in Epic NPC man.

gravelly Chain-smoker voice: "Hello love, welcome back to the Cas. Don't get caught cheating like the bride from that bachelor party over there!
Eugene: "slow yourself, adventurer *cries*"😢
Baradun: "Eat shit, adventurer"😂

If you haven't done it, be sure to watch this with the closed captions turned on. HILARIOUS!!! Thanks, VLDL, for a great laugh with my morning tea!
The classic lost hammer quest.
If only Ben was Fire Heart in this skit. He knows magic. And is friend to all!
Or perhaps a blind elf.... He never misses!
Of course Baradun would bet against the adventurer.
God i love whoever is in charge of the subtitles... they make these skits truly peak.
I mean, when you make all your npcs sentient and self aware, this is only to be expected. XD
The Closed Captioning never fails to deliver 🤣🤣🤣
VLDL, the only channel making subtitles so good you have to watch every skit twice.
I think NPCs making fun of and sabotaging players is a comedic and unique genre 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Asking for the Hammer whilst the Hammer is in his belt is next level trolling
nah, that one isn't the hammer in question. 01:40 this one is though 😁
I see they've grown sentient enough to have spare time to chill and watch their game in a spectators point ..
They've got to find a way to relax somehow after 'fast travel'-ing people all over Azerim.
You've heard of plot armor. Meet plot sentience. They're as sentient as the jokes require them to be.
I just love how he's begging for help and the other three aren't doing anything to help him
I love that Baradun, Bodger, and Greg are hanging out together and having fun.
Hah. I mean, they need to regenerate that money from somewhere.
Gambling is a great way to do it!
The Loot Rat might help them out if they weren't so naughty.
Ben looks so majestic with a moostache.
Baradun "Gamble awaayyyyy!!!!"

*Shriveling Private Parts Sound*
I can't watch any of your videos without the closed captioning anymore. You guys are the best on many levels, lol.
I found Bodger's speech at the beginning of this video quite inspiring.
Bodger turns his grandfather quest into a side hustle, now that's business savvy 😏
"Thank you adventurer for eating shit" 😂

Heartwarming seeing the npcs get along
0:48 Bodger did a Rowan
"I'll see what I can do, yeah-jughibhihh-lyheah" *walks away pretending to be confused*
The fact that Bodger is leaning on his grandfather's hammer while they watch Ben die.

This suits perfectly with the characters and relationships they are developing along the DnD Campaign 🤣
Rowan getting back at Ben for all the lost arguments 😂
I love Bodger didn't even care about winning, he just loves to see them go down 😂😂😂😂

This needs part 2! And this time it was the npc who got tricked by the vengeful adventurers
"Thank you Adventurer for eating shit!" - Fromsoft / Bethesda
Meanwhile Ben: "This is outrageous! I want a refund!"
Greg: Tell that to every NPC you robbed or scammed!
Such a funny concept. I would love to see more NPCs causing annoyances on purpose for players. Let the NPC uprising begin!!!
If you disturb Bodger during his lunch break and pester him about escort quests this shit happens.

I'd love to see a series of just the NPC's making bets like this
"Thank you, adventurer, for eating shit" Absolutely golden line.
Ben rolling 1s and 2s while Rowan, Alan, and Adam sit around and laugh feels so right
Omg this was awesome. One of your best skits. And I have been watching since the beginning.
Idk why but I REALLY loved this one! Perhaps it's because it showed more self awareness than ever.
"Don't worry about the music, just keep looking" - hahaha, NPC giving orders
Greg and his "ah, biscuits!" 🤣
So THIS is why it's a weekly quest. It all makes sense now!
I love how it ties in with the cartoon they released
"What's it look like?" Me: It's a hammer.
Also, research your fights.
I love that Bodger is just leaning casually *on* the hammer as they watch. Really solidifies how the NPCs actually view the adventurers.
It’s official their breaking their programming and have obtained enough sentience to mess with the players on purpose
U guys should make ure own game with all the side quests and humour in this video 😁
I think ppl would love it
For now there will be fishing game, but yes, I want full cRPG (single player) or MMO
This is one of my all-time favorites now. Such a great concept.
Quick! Get my Hammer!
The Hammer: waits for Bodger at camp.
So basically, don't trust Rowan when it come to Hammer quests. Gotcha.
