I thought i only remembered Rod Roddy as the announcer on the show, i was born in 85, but, i definitely remember Johnny's voice.
Johnny Olson died on 10/12/85, & Rod Roddy took over TPIR when he was also announcing on the CBS game show Press Your Luck. Big Bucks, No whammys, STOP❕
The look on the kids face when she missed by $246, he was like "F" it I'm out. LOL
😂😂
59:03 lol Timothy‘s like “that’s enough of this garbage.”
My mom won both showcases on this episode when she did it it was her 29th birthday. It aired about 2 months later
Sorry her opponent in the Showcase wasn’t too gracious in defeat. I’m sure she didn’t notice. Your mom was a good contestant.😊
@@PittsburghPenguin Sometimes contestants have too much on their minds when in defeat, especially on losing to a contestant who has won both showcases.
Happy Birthday Bob Barker!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Alright a Double Showcase Winner, awesome!!! Way to go!!!
Andrea is wearing her "Annie" dress. Hey, she also has the same name as Andrea McCardle, the first stage Annie.
Oh how I wish i could go to Kmart. Might take a drive out to Lebanon (NH) soon, I guess they still have one.
2 things happened in this episode: Roger Dobkowitz had made an appearance @ 14:03 --- and a "Big Win" for Jayme, who'd be giving out hugs @ 16:57 and to Bob (when she won) @ 59:12, though she kissed him @ 19:06, and this would be a DSW winner for her. She won a trip to Costa Rica, in the previous game, for a total of $42,382.
here's what aired in primetime:
ABC: ABC Thursday Night Movie (The Birdcage)
CBS: Promised Land (Anywhere But Here), Diagnosis Murder (Rear Windows '98), 48 Hours
Fox: World's Wildest Police Videos, When Good Pets Go Bad
NBC: Friends (The One Where Ross Moves In), Jesse (The Kiss), Frasier (How to Bury a Millionaire), Veronica's Closet (Veronica's Breast Effort), ER (Hazed and Confused)

Bob barker 1923_2023 Rest in PEACE 💔😭
Awwww what a cute doggie Little Joe is.
Sweet, the Fortune Hunter game!
Sorry Timothy 😢
I Bet Timothy Was Crying In Tears When He Got Back Home.
55:24 - I'm glad that Showcase cue from '83 stuck around till at least '98. Maybe even beyond 2000!
They were still using it in 2007.
@@Optuhmist Maybe even 2011.
@@kristopherversteegt2939 It stuck around until like 2008 I believe. They did use a modernized version during decades week for the 80s or 90s. This one is a classic.
Sorry Andrea 😞
Dang, Check out still looks straight outta 1982 here, can’t believe they kept the game like this for so long
This aired on my 19th birthday, and I was a big fan of Ricki Lake back then!😂
Wow, you also share the same day (November 12) as Chantel Dubay's birthday, and I think she did a really good job in terms of being a model let alone the fan mail she got.
@@graigmellon7874 Wow! I never never Chantel and I had a birthday together. That is awesome. I hope she's enjoying her day like I'm enjoying mine.😏
Was my 18th birthday 🎉 back then too lol
@@OOOGhost-girlOOOshhhhh how about that! We both were young.😁😂
59:05 Timothy be like "aight I'm out."
Like He didn't even try to congratulate her lol
@@BigBlack20 for some reason for the other person who doesn't win I feel bad for them
Wish they just got a $3,000 bonus or something
Timothy was probably upset that he didn't win the car and lost the showcase
@@MessiGOAT1022they always get some kind of prize for making it to that level

The first $500 bonus win
I forgive this perfect picture and sound in HD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was 20 years old... where does the time go??
Andrea the contestant almost looks like Little Orphan Annie by her dress.
@"Game Show Flashback", yes, back then, on Thursday, November 12, 1998[this same day of my youngest 38-year-old brother's then-"13th birthday🎂"], "The Price Is Right" game show had late Mr. Robert "Bob" W. Barker as its previous host just as his former studio announcer there was late Mr. Robert "Rod" R. Roddy!
246 double showcase winner
59:09 Timothy walking off stage looking disappointed
I Bet You Timothy Got Back Home Destroying The House When He Lost That Plymouth Breeze In The Dice Game And His Showcase.
Yeah! Who knows lol
Timothy looked defeated
Still have yet to see anyone win fortune hunter.
4 threes = cool
25:47 Derrick Thomas was a linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs around that time. Thomas, a former University of Alabama star, tragically was killed a couple of years later after a car accident
February of 2000.
This was a funny moment in Dice Game!
I'm hoping someday they change the Big Wheel rules and let you spin 2x and instead of adding up the total of your 2 spins you get to chose which 1 of the 2 spin results you get as the total you get to keep (obviously the higher of the 2 you spin)
14:15, GIVE HER A KEY!!!!!
Jesus Christ, that car has better have a damn good suspension.
Awesome
A Master Key loss can happen in two ways: One is where the contestant doesn't win any keys at all, and the other is where he or she picks only one key, but it turns out to be the dud key.

$100 for a perfect bid? Not anymore! Try $500! And then $5,000 more in Fortune Hunter.
Darn! We always get so close my boy! I’m looking for the show that aired 2 days before this one. My mother was on that day. Her first game show appearance. She was on the current LMAD a few years back.
A rare loss in Master Key, what a bummer.
Also this is another playing for a Master Key loss!

I've been around mostly the days of when you had to be under $250, to win both showcases, but I never knew I was born around the original rule of $100, before. It's good they changed that, since inflation had really caught up with showcase items used, and such. And with that being said, there will never be another showcase under $10,000, ever again, nor a car, either.
I LOVE YOU CHANTEL DUBAY BECK ❤💝💖💘💌
When did the $250 or less DSW rule debut?
20:40
Commercials like this were done the same way as the Globe Life commercials.
When are they ever gonna update this to $1000 bonus for Perfect Bid, $100,000 Plinko and Double Showcase Winner under $1000? Times have changed and things have costed more expensive since the TPIR winnings rules were changed
#Ford Mustang country
Since we know this was a rerun episode, what day did it aired in the repeats?
Imad Khuri Ah ok. I remember sometimes during the summer repeats, they usually edited the ticket plug fee to add advertising time
Mama june
Was on my bday I turned 18!
I thought you had DirecTV or something. How can the picture be weak?
@@imadkhuri Take it from me, it doesn't look as bad from my perspective. Lol

That's More Heartbroken than Getting *BANKRUPT* in the Money Cards on "CARD SHARKS"
You mean *BUSTED.* *BANKRUPT* is a Wheel of Fortune thing.
Interesting that they used the consolation prize cue for Double Prices... then again, given that she didnt get to play the game she wanted, its practically a consolation prize...
$801 and got rekt
Features a Wipeout playing of Master Key.
Andrea, are you trying to look like Orphan Annie?
