I've had single days where I've made $500 off of one bins trip. It's just some days are worse and some better, but it's definitely worth it at the bins
Maybe leave the clothing for people that actually can’t afford clothes. Tbh I think it’s fucked up he goes in and get all the nice stuff when he’s doing just fine and can afford clothing from any store
Albeit Paul could source from vintage wholesalers, (which I think he does, he even says he doesn’t usually spend all day at the bins, this was just an experiment). I still think you far underestimate the sheer volume of clothes that are being donated everyday. Goodwill sends their overflow and items they don’t sell to the bins, but even then they have shipped a lot of unsorted (credential) clothing to rag houses for them to make a profit because they just get so much on daily basis. I know a wholesaler in Massachusetts who gets 6 million pounds of clothing every week from contracts like these. There’s enough to go around for low income people to purchase cheap clothes and for resellers (who for the most part are low income individuals 🙄) to resale. Plus it’s good for the economy and it’s good for the environment, vintage clothing is becoming more popular than ever and not everyone has time to search the racks and would rather buy them on eBay, poshmark, or depop. I say let them be man…. The real serious cats already get them wholesale anyways
Next mission Paul goes back to the bins for the shitty booty track pants and tries to sell them on whatnot. Will Paul sell the pants? Was this the work of 2am Taco Bell? Was paul the shitty booty culprit?? Find out next week on another edition of..Hey thats my shirt from last summer!
Great reminder of why I never go to the bins.
