This blade setter is a must have for all barbers!!! Quick, easy to use,and cost effective. I also purchased your modified outliner blade and I have no complaints!! Much respect for what you are doing coming all the way from Philly!!!
OMG. A non-barber like me not only modified my Andis Styliner I also was able to set the blade. I don't know a zero gap from a tooth gap, but It worked and my blades are cutting even better than before #winning :-) Thanks for two great products!
I’m not a barber but I do try and shave my beard and to touch it up nicely by myself and I bought the blade sharpener from you and this adjuster. Looks like it sharpens everything aligns it properly. I never adjusted my Andis before, it’s still factory set. I will still adjust it. Thanks for making this. Just texted my barber your link.
@drueluvcolonge he shaved the top blade at a certain angle that gets a finer cut thus getting a sharper, crisper line. No one in the market has even thought of this, your a genius Chukka. Keep up the videos, man. Weather you believe it or not, your helping a lot of us in the game, out. Thanks Homie
Your amazing thank you for this information. I adjusted my GXT blade and it works much better. Thx you for being a leader in our industry I appreciate your craft and you videos. Although i'm not a barber I as Supercuts Stylist, so I hold a different license but I use clippers and edgers on all of my guest with the exception of women, I'm going to share your channel with all my girls. Thank you Chu
I appreciate your product. It works real well. I brought two of them. The black & the blue ones. This save me alot from using the table & the mirror for adjusting my blade. This product is what it's says........... On The Money 💰 💰 💰 💰 💰 💰 💰 💰 💰 💰. I'll be doing a review soon on your product. Once again. Thank You.
Whats up Chuka, hopefully u having a good new year.I asked once before about you doing some comb-over videos.I have your dvd and it helps alot.If u dont have time to do comb -over videos do u have advice, thanks for your time.
Ive been using the T Outliner modified blades for about 4 or 5 month and they still hit hard. The best thing about these modified blades are that they do not cut the skin. Ive had my blades sharpened before at another place and for some reason the cut my skin up. For a blade to his as sharp as it does and not cut into the skin is mind boggling to me. Maybe its the modification.
Ok, you put it on, put how did you a just it once you put the blade on? Show what the perfect alignment is? Or does the Blue alignment peace automatically line the blazes up by itself once you put it on? 3n1
Chuka Torres is there anything you've come up with to compensate for the deficiency of that nylon or plastic piece that sits on the still blade and keeps the moving blade in place? I make mention of this because I understand that these pieces as well as the blades themselves are mass produced and the efficiency of the product is compromised, at least from my present point of view, unless this particular issue is part of the design. Now what I'm refering to is the "unevenness" of this piece ,even if its a hair off, which one can gauge with a pair of callipers. it seems to me that no matter the adjustment one makes to zero - gap the blades, one can still push the blade and notice that it can rock or lift up on either side.I don't know if I am explaining this right, but you can notice it when your cutting and one side still "hits" harder than the other ,even though the blades have been set "perfectly " with a proposed tool specifically used to align the blade.Let me make clear that this is NOT a statement against any product of yours or your company friend. This is something that I've noticed and thought to share with you and see if maybe you guys can come up with a fix for this issue.I already can estimate the tedious approach to this, but I think it would be worth it for both the barber and client. Keep up the good work Chuka and your staff.
I purchased the wrong one off Amazon and I meant to buy the black one will the blue one still work on the andis t outliner? I don't want to waste time sending it back and buying another one.
i have the andis styliner 2 blade setter it came with a razor the only thing is no matter how many times i set it one side always scraches? is it the tension screw
I wanted to know if you are doing any type sets for any of the Oster T trimmer clippers for us cosmetologist / Barber, who use only that particular brand and I do like Andis to it just most of my clippers are Oster brand 76 clippers, fast speed clippers, 2 - other kind and 2 - T blade trimmers clippers (1- gold T blade and black clippers & 1- sliver T blade and burgandy clippers.) I still working on getting more clippers, but I try to only get the best on the first try out and this is with 3 clippers and trimmers being stolen and 1 clippers breaking on me no matter how many times I would pull it a part to fix it until I finally had to take it in to the professional man the that fix all problems I had only had them for a 1 1/2, (but letting people borrow them and drop them on the floor the most dreaded sound to hear, when they hit the floor I should have known better because they treat their own things like that & worst, but I know better and will never do it again, or allow it to happen to my things.) Besides, after paying for my clippers to be fix and sharpen they still did not work would cut and then start to glide over the hair and not cut anything, which would leave a patch of hair (hot mess) the they still did work, but unfortunately I couldn't put them in the trash I still have hope that I may can either fix them myself or get them fix by someone better. Please let me know about the adjustment for Oster clippers because that's all I have and if you don't have any type for trimmers can you please think of making 1 for the trimmer. Thank you, very much wish you all the best in you goal and dreams never give up on your life work, or dream God will always help, or set you in motion to put you either on a path to your dream / goal, or maybe to an even higher calling in your dream/ goal than you could ever imagine, so just pray and always be prepare for what's to come in the future and don't look back to the past God bless you wish all the best in life. (Sorry, for long message.)
I just adjusted my blades. When I put them back on guess clipper they were way to close and sharp. Tested them on myself just to make sure that the customer wouldn't get cut and they were way to close. Any ideas?
Aight chuka finally got my on the money black. Question Where can i purchase modified andis trimmer blades? Thanks bro and thanks for replying before. Peace my bro.
seems like when I adjust them with this product it seems the blade still shifts up I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but it seems after I adjust them correctly then out the blade back on and turn the clippers on the blades slides up, anybody have a solution to this problem?
Say Chuka I was on your website and wanted to know what makes your modified blades better than regular adjusting? I bought the andis zero setter I hate it and better off without it. What makes yours better?
I bought Chuka's blade setter for my Andis GTX edgers and after adjusting the blades it hits much cleaner and sharper than the original factory setting. I also bought his modified GTX blades from him as well and they hit even cleaner than the original blades. So my comment is coming from experiencing Chuka's blades firsthand. So hit up his website and order the modified blades and blade setter! You will be impressed!!!
The packaging on the Styliner II says "fixed T blade" as though it's not adjustable. Is this something new or has it always been that way? Just want to make sure I can zero gap them before buying.
+chukka Torres can you give us a full tutorial without fast forwarding it and you explaining in detail we are supporting you give us that we deserve it ;) Barber luv
Ey Chuka, what is the best sharpest blade to use for edging up? I have the Andis GTX Modified blades from you and they hit sharp...however is there other blades that will do a better job than the GTX blades that i bought from you? If so, i may buy the blades from you so please lemme know your opinion about this. Thanks bro!!!
James Beal Umm. Not really. I personally prefer the modified t-outliners. They are the most popular of our blades. the gtx are great for long hair but also good for all around.
i bought your 10sec blade set and took me 1hour to get a good setup. the gap is to sharp for a client. i adjusted the styliner 2 setup so it wouldnt have a scratchy feel on a client. the 0 gap setup is horrible. if some one out there has the same problem comment. i dont whant my money back i just whant a fast good blade setter
It was a bitch trying to adjust the styleliner 2s blade..thanks for the helpful video bro ..just order me some blade setters from eBay for like $10 bucks each ..
MILLZx1986 Both blades will fit in the black or blue but the adjustments will come out slightly different because the blue had to be made to accommodate the third tension screw on the styliner II blades.
***** I bought one and it's hard as hell to get in the blade setter. Do I have a faulty one? because I still can't get the damn thing in... ughh frustrated.
***** Welp used pliers to get it in but when I tried to snap it out the whole thing broke. Well hopefully the seller I bought it from on Ebay is nice enough to give me another one. 10 bucks down the drain. :(
