Trodat Printy 4913 Customizable Self-Inking Stamp with 3mm and 4mm Letters

- I use stamps for all sorts of reasons in my daily life. Some are pre-made stamps like my return address stamp or the stamp that says "MEDIA MAIL" that I use for mailing. However, if I were to buy a stamp for every single thing I ever needed, I would be deluged in stamps. Instead, I also have a customizable stamp for times that I need to just stamp a batch of things for a project.
I had a previous customizable stamp but lost the letters for it. So I bought myself this new Trodat Printy 4913 stamp. It comes with two trays of letters, one 3mm and one 4mm. You simply choose what you want the stamp to say, put those letters into the stamp, and stamp away.
My first project was this was to make a stamp for my art group's lending library. We have over 100 books and we wanted to stamp them all as belonging to the lending library, to improve the chances of the books returning to us eventually. This is the type of project I love using the customizable stamp for. It's not like I'd want to buy a pre-made stamp for this purpose, which is sort of a one-and-done situation. Instead, I can customize the stamp myself to say BVAA Lending Library. Then I can change the stamp so it has information about my art prints, to stamp on the back of all of those. And so on.
The stamp is VERY easy to use. I have incredibly shaky hands, as you can see in my video, and even so I was able to get the little rubber letters out of the tray and put them into the stamp base. You can slide the letters around and adjust them. Then you add in the ink pad and you're set! You can easily stamp as many things as you want. The impressions were clear and easy to read.

That really helped me out. Thanks. Oh, and I have a cat too who knows when I'm doing something important and will then do everything in his power to mess it up. Like he will sit on my head or meow constantly and then when you ask him what's the mater, he will walk away and go to sleep. You gotta love them.
I'm glad it was helpful! And yes I try distracting them ahead of time but it never works. Zuzu comes right over the moment I start working on anything even remotely art-related.

Hey there! Thank you for the video. Is there a way to lock the stamp when not in use? When I lock it, it just unlocks itself when I press the stamp. Is that normal?
